  • Dime is a beast no matter what he plays

  • does anyone know the lyrics to this song?

  • BIEBER IS RUNNING LOOSE!!!

  • this old stuff is fuckin epic

  • Wow they should have redone this song with phil awesome sound

  • won't you step into the freezer...

  • Show a photo of just about anyone in the 80's and they're going to look like a glammed up mess. Well, anyone but J. Mascis. He was grunge like 10 years ahead of time.

  • THIS IS AS METAL AS IT GETS!! They were never glam they just wore makeup. Nothing wrong with that.

  • Trey Anastasio is a huge Pantera freak!

  • its gonna be cold cold cold cold cold

  • Won't you step into the freezer?

  • When's the Reprise??

  • so this is their own song?

  • KILLERS RUNNING LOOSE!....5 ASSHOLES OUGHTA BE KILLED!!

  • this is just narita by riot but with vocals.

  • it actualy sounds more like tokyo blade, a nwobhm band

  • singing is kind of gay xd

  • this isnt glam, fucking dumbasses, it doesnt sound like poison, this is traditional metal

  • this sounds just like Van Halen!!!

  • @magnatank3 oh yeah and Obama is white . . .

  • I've always heard that this was a cover of the maiden song of the same name. I do not hear the similarity though

  • To get things straight, Pantera may hav incorporated glam elements into their early music, but they were never a full-on glam metal band, their music had a big hard rock/traditional metal and at times speed and thrash metal (on Power metal) sound, and I know what Im talking about, only morons that dnt know wat Glam sounds like wud call their early music Glam metal, or idiots that read Wikipedia and think coz Wikipedia labelled them sumthing that means that's wat they r

  • @laithlaith91 they were alot about fashion at first,

i also agree that they ddont sound like glam metal.

these guys were merely nothing more than just a hardrock/heavy metal type of band

    back in this time.

whatever the music may be this band is fucken great as from the earlier shit and their latest shit. I fucken LOVE pantera!!!

  • A 1980s version of Skull Fist.

  • i like all pantera songs, glam and groove

  • omg i heard this song about 6 years ago and thought it was iron maiden, i finally found out where it comes from

  • @roketfingers LOL I thought it was from Iron Maiden aswell..

  • @MiyokoShina funny stuff haha

  • @roketfingers no but seriously, the voices are almost alike...some sounds in common with judas priest aswell o.0

  • @MiyokoShina i know, its really strange, maby its just the quality of the album lol

  • damn thought it was one of the maiden songs they used to cover when they started up sounds kl though this is deffinately the era when their love of priest showed throuugh thr most

  • aww thought this was one of the maiden songs they used to cover when they started

  • @DANizDAN I love all eras of metal too for the most part. I actually consider grunge to be part of metal as well because it was still very heavy. Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and even early Pearl Jam had a lot in common with metal bands because of their musicians ship and great riff-creating as well.

  • @DANizDAN Not every artist who wears makeup is 'glam' per se though.Anyhow GNR were thrown in with glam but they were imo just a swaggery hard rock band. After appetite they didn't tease their hair or have a glammy look at all. and Van Halen is pre-glam. They had a cheesey image but their music had a lot of integrity to it.Crue and Poison didn't, they weren't very talented. Alice Cooper is shock-rock not glam. Imo there is a difference between makeup for theatrical effect and just being a clown.

  • @DANizDAN Iron Maiden wore Spandex, and even Judas Priest started to tease their hair. pantera did have a glamier look than those bands though. but to me the only full on glam metal album they made was metal magic. this has too much speed metal influence and its soo gnarly!

  • holy shit! How old were they????

  • @mattdandu dime was like 17 or 18 i know that

  • Comment removed

  • @leuropa67 Spoken like a true Douche Bag!!!

  • @boydman67 no

  • i like 90s pantera alot better, but still this shit is badass. anybody who says different can blow it out their ass.

  • if this is glam im a glamoholic

glam away baby, this is glamouricous

  • panteras classic albums were the best

  • uncle ebineezer?

  • Won't you step into the freezer?

  • @glade555 Uncle Ebenezer

  • best song on the album

  • Won't you step into the .. step into the ... step into the...

  • @Metalzilla2007

Thats correct, Dimebag auditioned for the lead guitarist of Megadeth after the departure of Jeff Young from the band, and Mustaine was hella keen to have him in, however his condition on joining the band was that Vinnie would come with him and become the bands drummer, however Mustaine had already hired a certain frizzy haired fucker by the name of Nick Menza as drummer, so Dime didn't end up joining and the position was given to Marty Friedman

  • Dave Mustaine what a mistake that was they work so fucking well together!!!!!!

  • shit like poison and warrant are glam. this sounds nothing like glam. quit being lame ass genre fags and enjoy.

  • This was in there Glam Metal days.

  • im pissed that i nvr herd of them wen i use to like glam metal

  • Wow pantera used to dress like girls and wear makeup AWESOME!!!!

  • terry>phil

  • speed metal

  • DUD! terry glaze on vocals! dime was SO young on this album

  • Dimebag was 17 when Pantera released their debut album, he was 18 when this was released. That is a fucking young rockstar becoming famous!!

  • spund like the crue

  • yeah its weird they dont sound glam metal but they looked it then lol

    then they got fat

and went in a different direction

  • \,,/

  • panteras, back when they rocked, they helped ruin metal with cowboys from hell.

  • YOUR A CUNT

  • well that makes 2 of us.

  • @broersz Too bad no one realizes this and Groove Metal fags still continue to ruin Metal.

    Fat, brocore tough guy shits.

  • i hate glam metal with the passion but this is amazing i gotta admit since pantera is my favorite band

  • oh dude i was reffering to pantera not maiden :D

  • ahaha yeah man, they rocked. cowboys from hell was suck a landmark in metal history

  • @jordison215 I'd say more so Vulgar Display Of Power.

  • @911SHIZBO well cowboys was such a great transition from 80s glam to 90s metal. if anything is a landmark, its Far Beyond Driven. number 1 on the charts brotha

  • @jordison215 Everything after "Power Metal" sucks.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow if they were not on an independent label they would have never changed their music and probably would be one of the most influential heavy/thrash metal bands to date from this album onward, yeah its unfortunate

  • @Ben0itZ i dont think so. cowboys from hell through far beyond driven are classics. i'm glad they played both styles in their career. they were amazing at both. you cant say that cowboys wasnt an amazing record. Cemetary Gates alone is an utter masterpiece..

  • @codebabe no, im not saying those arent good albums, but 80s Pantera in my opinion was better, Phil showed he could actually sing on Power Metal, and terry was good too on the previous 3 albums. I'm just not as in to extreme metal with all that screaming stuff, Pantera went from glam/heavy metal to death metal....big switch. I'm saying if they would not have been on an independant label in the 80s, they may have been more popular and may not have changed so dramatically

  • @Ben0itZ i will have to say first and formost that Pantera are not a deathmetal band. Death metal bands do a lot more low growling, Pantera were a groove band. Death metal doesnt have hardcore/punk influence lik they did. With that said, I hate to burst your bubble, but glam was dying and they saw that they had to change. They wouldnt have become more popular. Far Beyond Driven peaked at number one on the billboard 200 chart. It's a great feat for the heavieset band in the world to beat out pop.

  • @codebabe yeah i know they are groove metal but he does a lot of screaming, i don't think they were pure glam metal though, they just incorporated it along with speed and heavy metal

  • AVESOME

    \,,/

  • GLAM??! You're on crack! Pantera was on the same page as Accept, Saxon, Anvil, Judas Priest & Iron Maidan!

  • i think people are saying it more because the way they looked on stage at the time

  • @theaxelofrose

yeah more of a glam look than sound, that's for sure

  • Ok, I guess we have some anger management issues here. 1st of all I didn't know you were a spelling teacher. Thanks for pointing out my TYPO. I'm sure you never made a spelling mistake ever in your life. 2nd, I don't know what documentary you are talking about. 3rd, yes Pantera was as good as Priest, Saxon, Anvil and MADIEN (happy?). 4th, you're way too sensitive. Maybe you should ask your self why being called a crack head offended you. Did I hit close to home? If so Im so sorry. Get a grip.

  • where can i get this album

  • ebay maybe?

  • Is this Phil' s voice? Dimebag' s voice? PLZ REPLY

  • suck? no maybe you just dont like this type of music. because this is the fucking SHIT!!!!!!

  • yeah but he changed his nickname from Diamond to Dimebag just before Far Beyond Driven came out

  • I don't give a shit if it is Glam, it fucking rocks! and for the record, no, they were never Glam, they never wore pink, frilly catsuits... this is fucking classic metal!!! those were the days!

  • Metal in it's true form!

  • fuck yeah bro

  • @gingepunk well, pantera did admit that they were glam

  • @gingepunk Well actually there is/was two kinds of Glam Metal - The cool ones like Crüe and early Pantera, and the later cheesy-pop bubblegum Glam like Warrant or Poison. Anyways...I guess the cooler division is more in the Sleaze Metal departement, just like L.A.Guns and GnR

  • @gingepunk Haha yea they did. Look up photos and videos of the early "Diamond Darrell" era. They got Phil on board and got on the right track after that though.

  • @gingepunk yeah and Power Metal was their best album, which is ofcourse pre-Cowboys.

  • @gingepunk yeah this is more like hard rock...i like it!

  • on the other hand, the thrash side of them totally shits on this.

  • @hugopereira14 Something tells me you haven't listened to their first album with Phil Anselmo.

  • whats wrong with it?

  • Really? How much time do you have? Simply put? EVERYTHING!

  • Oh yeah? I'm here. I watched these guys destroy in a strip club on Lawton, Oklahoma in the late 80's and they kicked ass.

This was pre-Cowboys, but they had Metallica and other thrash covers in the set. It was obvious they were going to just keep getting heavier and they did.

And the pre-Cowboys albums are chock full of some of the best shred and Judas Priest worship ever.

These albums are worth gold to who want them. They fetch top dollar. I think that says it all. They are classics. \,,/

  • @poppybasers Terry's voice...

  • hey man lyrics anyone?please. cheers

  • The great glam days! This is the Pantera I like the most! with Terry Glaze's clean voice

  • Somebody write the lyrics please!!!. I´m spanish, sorry for the bad english

  • glam days?

  • watch?v=g1JqpdmsTno

  • i liked the solo

  • this jams!

  • blacktide ripped them off so bad

  • ...sort of like Pantera "ripped off" Exhorder... right? :)

Genres exist for a reason, dude.

  • yeah but no ones ever heard of exhorder except u and they probly suk

  • Yeah and the only reason you heard about Black Tide is because they were in Rock Band you fucktard. Maybe if you explored metal beyond the Metal hour on fucking MTV you'd find some better music to listen to. Exhorder invented the fucking genre, dumbass.

By the way, Pantera didn't exactly invent power metal or glam rock.

  • i hate rockband, also mtv sux lol. also didmnt like black sabath invent metal?

  • also pantera came out b4 exhoarder and iron maiden probly invented "power" metal cuz they were out in the 70s. so exhoarder is just another rip off band that fan boys rant about when somebody doesnt like them

  • Yeah... Black Sabbath invented metal... and there are subgenres. Did Black Sabbath invent metal, and in turn, death metal? No, I didn't think so. Different styles of metal, dude.

Also, Pantera didn't sound like Exhorder until AFTER Exhorder came out. From Exhorder's official Wikipedia page, I quote, "They are often credited as the purveyors of the groove-oriented thrash sound later made famous by bands such as Pantera, White Zombie, and Machine Head.".

  • yeah but kangaroos have sex with orphans

  • he's got u there

  • true but if it wernt for black sabbath death metal would have anythign to decend from and therefore wouldnt exist

  • ya im pretty sure kizak6 knows more metal then you sir awsomness so please dont start a battle you cant win and i know who Exhorder is too by the way

  • i cant find the song in emule and lime wire who can send it me on messenger :P Rock from italy \m/

  • download a program called soulseek or message me i could send it to you on msn if yo have it

  • go on limewire and just search for the title "killers" , there will be versions from iron maiden and pantera

  • iron mainen's is the best!!!!!

  • i love this pantera song, i was searching the lyrics in google, but i couldn`t find it.

¿ why there isn´t much information about "projects in the jungle" ? or the lyrics?

  • power metal rules!!!!!!!

  • i guess all of the true fans know pantera is an 80's band.

  • i guess all of the true fans know that pantera is pantera when phil anselmo joins the band

  • thats fucking right

  • i have to agree phil made pantera better.

  • Phil did change the band.

But Dime was the main cause for all the fan base.

  • hells yes

  • this is a very good song aguante pantera !!!!from argentina!!!

  • For them who did'nt get to grow-up on this PANTERA METAL you messed out!

  • I grew up on Iron Maiden metal.

  • Yeah you can, seen em on ebay

  • que bien que suena, muy bueno...

    5/5

  • Ah, this was the first Pantera song I ever heard, it's fucking awesome! \m/

  • what a fucking good song....

  • i bet

ive heard that dime auditioned 4 the lead guitarist spot in megadeth but it was given 2 marty friedman

  • yeah he got the part for megadeth just before phil joined pantera but he said no because he wanted vinnie his brother to join megadeth and dave said he already had a drummer

  • actually dave mustaine asked dimebag to join no questions or auditions asked...but dimebag didnt join because dave wouldnt let dimebags brother be drummer for megadeth.

  • @Metalzilla2007 dime turned it down from what i heard. he wanted to be in his own band more

  • @Metalzilla2007 no,mustaine heard about power metal album and he liked dimebag skills....so he called him and asked him to join in so far so good so what but dimebag wanted and vinnie to come but mustaine had nick menza...and nothing happened!(sorry for my english)

  • @Metalzilla2007 ya dude

  • @Metalzilla2007Dime turned Dave down cause he would not take Vinnie too

  • @Metalzilla2007 Dime turn Dave down cause he did not want Vinnine Paul

    Dime was Daves 1st choice

  • @Metalzilla2007 actually dave mustaine wanted dime to join but dime said he wouldnt join unless dave would take vinnie as well, fortunately he didnt.

  • Comment removed
