Hi! great video!tell me please one thing: how you can determine if thr tree is curled or not?do you have to de-bark it a little bit or something?i have around 40 maple trees on my highland property,but they are not the same specie as i see one on this video.i have mountain maples (acer pseudoplatanus),at 1400m altitude...and your maple log is probably sugar maple (or "hard maple","rock maple"...)...or Acer Saccharum in latin..
