according to an interview that i read about hammond, jeremy said that richard was probably the biggest daredevil in the group of 3. james was supposed to do the dragster car where richard had his accident, but james pulled out due to other commitements. richard, like "the donkey from Shrek" was going pick me, pick me!!! i think that hammond gets a sort of adrenaline rush from doing dangerous car stunts. apparently, he can't watch action films with car crashs in because it still upsets him. aww

Power windows wont work if you go under water, as the water will short circut all the electrical components as soon as it touches them

Not so... they did this on Mythbusters, granted it was a newer and better car, and the power windows totally worked for quite awhile, even interior lights and everything... Now I did say most likely, because on an older crappier car I can imagine them shorting out quickly.

top gear tried a USA series but it failed. Becuase.. the bbc has no comercails(get money from TV licence), and could say anything it wanted about any car. But in the USA all channels have comercails,so if they said bad things about cars, those companies would treaten to never advertise on teh channel.. the channel gets pissed and TELLS them what to say, so it wasnt right, and they stopped
