I have not tried this method since my hair has grown out, although I used it often when I had short hair. I made the tiny buns kind of tightly twisted and in the morning sprayed a bit of salt water after taking the buns out to tame it down. I'm excited to try this on my hair now that it is much longer!

@anngormanloves If you want neat hair, then you can't sleep on this. you have to wear it all day. You can also choose to brush it and use an anti frizz serum.

Iris - what gorgeous hair u have. I think u look stunning without the barrette...all u need r those beautiful full bouncy waves! Would look great if u turned your head upside down and shook it a bit and sprayed or gel the underside...would be even fuller. Anyway, thanks for the video...very helpful. Moozoon -Do it slower and practice. You can also add a few mirrors so that you can see what you are doing behind you. Make sure your wrist is twisting enough to make the twist.

when I had longer hair I did this all the time, you know what works better and is more comfy to sleep in is those fabric covered scrunchies from the nineties... I found that they were even less damaging as well...depending on your length and texture, you can get a different look from those....thanks for the video....it was fun to watch!

i do use serum. at first i thought it was because my ends were layered so i got a trim and got rid of all the layers, but it still gets frizzy. i'm guessing i'm not setting the buns correctly or maybe it's the way i tie my buns. the hair tie is wrapped around the very ends of my hair. tonight i'll try not to do that and i'll tell you what happens.

Msloverlybaudelaire: Mine come out frizzy too! I think it might be caused when you sleep and you're squishing your hair against your pillow... I also feel like the hair-bands make them frizzy too. I'd try those tiny clips instead and clip your ends straight down against your bun!
