God Bless the old shops near Sunset and Vine.... Goodbye Boarders and I hate to see Molly's Burgers on Vine St. go down.... Fuck all the new establishments!!! New apartments, condos and stupid hip hop clubs are making Hollywood a joke. Hollywood was once named Prospect Blvd. and now it's been overshadowed by stupid hip hop wannabees forcing you to hear some stupid rap song describing their life in a hostile environment and bitching about their dad not being around. This is not Compton!!!
so the make up is right on space cadet suitable and i have been thinking i might so something this bizarre when i release UNOBTAINIUM in september , i like reading the comments here and leave my best for DB and fans who come here too . if i have to do karaoke its still Ziggy Stardust then Jean Genie
What a great song - allegedly about Rock Hudson who was 47 at the time and was worried about turning 50. Long before other concerns would arise of course. This album is the epitome of Glam rock with raunchy, heavy guitar work and raw, nasty lyrics on some tracks, and then a decadent, sensual attitude on others. "Time" is a visually striking piece and "Jean Genie" is a trip through Glamville if ever there was one. Love this album so much!
This song is unbelievable.Mick ronson was so awesome!I believe he and bowie had this crazy musical and sexual vibe especially while performing.I would give anything to go back in time and be about 19 in 1970 so I could go to all those shows and see what it was realy like back then.I do know this song written about Montgomery Clift who cracked his face in a car wreck.
absolutely agree, i would also hasten to add that he would have not hit the stratosphere that he did without mister mick ronson...ronsons magic launched this man into outer space
Wow! This is a great song . . . I just bought Aladdin Sane on record but my player's broken, and this was the one song I hadn't heard off it so I thought I'd lsiten to it on Youtube. I'm really glad I did!

Agreed, maybe what I meant is that he never ROCKED quite as good as he did when he was with Ronson.
