  • Isn't that where one of yours and downshifts friends crashed? The one on the white bike?

  • @heroes91092 yeah there's been a few people on white bikes that I know that have crashed there

  • Nick, are you using adhesive mounts or suction cup?

  • niceeee twisters...awesome video bro...def subscribe

  • nice editing

  • that is hilarious man.........right when you touch the ground.........into starts....whats the name of that song?

  • Great video and amazing editing! Love the videos :-)

  • very nice vid man siick intro

  • Very nice riding! I just bought my first bike a couple months ago.... Been hitting the hills but I'm nowhere dropping knees lol.... One day.... Zx-7r all the way!

  • Nice vid Nickgnaime

  • thanks broh!

  • Now I've only been riding a few months so don't take this as disrespect... but aren't you supposed to SEPARATE accelerating/braking and turning?

  • You are supposed to brake going into a turn and accelerate coming out of a turn. You are never supposed to brake in a turn as it will stand your bike straight up and cause you to go wide or go off the road. Rely on engine braking.

Entry point is important. Every turn is outside inside outside, unless two turns are close as in a switchback. However, if you are making a u-turn, feathering the rear brake while accelerating through can smooth out the turn greatly.

That being said, why do you ask?

  • ok, it may just be the angle and how i can't see whats in front but some turns almost look like you're yanking that throttle before you're half way through the turn

  • If you can give me a specific second in the video where you see it I can try and explain what's going on.

Other than that alI can say is yanking the throttle in a turn puts you in danger of spinning the back wheel out and low-siding, or if you almost low-side then correct it violently you might high-side.

  • Around 1:57, it kinda sounds like you're mashing it while pretty low... i could be dead wrong though.

  • Nah I am just slowly accelerating. The 09 zx10 has a huge pair, if I were mashing it at that point I would be over the cliff one way or the other.

If you want to hear how the bike sounds when I'm mashing the throttle check out my Fly By video =)

  • You can absolutely brake in a turn as long as your use your rear. It's not ideal, but it doesn't stand you up and if you're careful it can be helpful.

  • he's a new rider, no braking in turns ;)

  • Ya....good point, lol...my bad...

    No braking in turns!!!

  • Another Great Video Dude!

Love those roads, all the good twisties near me, have either loose gravel, poor tarmac or are notorious for having cars cutting the corners making you have to swerve sharply and dangerously or kiss their bumpers..... neither is enjoyable!

  • Can't get my knee down yet anyway! lol!

  • the knee down in the intro is literally the first time I ever got my knee down. ;)

  • Brilliant! and you had the camera in the right place at the right time! Oh yeah I see now that you wrote it in the description.... You certainly make it look easy !!!!

  • dude i love the dramatic beginning's you use.....they are cool...the new suit is sweet

  • YAY! knee pucks :D

  • I'm not sure what the cops gonna do hahah

  • He is there to make a police report for the insurance company, if there is one. Or to arrest someone for not having a license/passport. They always find something to do hehe

  • what is the name of the intro music

  • It's Battle Without Honor Or Humanity by Tomoyasu Hotei

  • Sweet rideing m8 Love it

  • you're right about that corner, especially going downhill plus all the lines are faded so you can't really tell where you're headed

  • yeah it's that turn and the one way at the bottom if you're going downhill that's a sharp left

  • Hahaah i'm your mom.

  • Great vid dude. It's a shame bikers here don't tend to signal for cops. I totally cut one off the other day and filtered another but thankfully got away with both.

    Hope the guy was okay.

  • Dude you need to be careful out there. Take it to the track haha. Your getting a little to comfortable.

  • I'm pretty comfy at Banner, I've been there 50+ times at this point but yes I agree that caution is crucial no matter where you are. Thanks for the concern Chris

  • can you do a video on your camera setup for this video?

  • It's the GoPro Hero Wide mounted above my front left headlight with the suction cup mount

  • i was speaking to a man on an 08 zx10r last week and he was telling me it felt as comfortable at knee dragging lean as it did up-right, iv got to experience one, but my local dealership doesnt do test rides!

  • congrats dude!!! next vid view from a distance?!

  • hmmm, probably not unless someone with a non-wide-angle camera films me from another bike.

  • you find out if the rider was ok?

  • I ran into the guy who wrecked friends at a gas station later, but they didn't tell me how he was - only that they remembered my helmet when I passed them

  • very cool bro nice vid

  • thanks!

  • Another awesome vid! Nice draggin there, looks sick from that camera angle.

  • yah the angle luckily catches the knee dragging pretty well!

  • Nice vid ! As allways

    Cheers from France

  • cheers!

  • good good, you look happy!! hehe

  • love it nick lol are those new pants!! looks good

  • I still rock the cammies if you're wondering hehe. But yeah that's my one piece suit

  • woohoo.. finally got a suit, nick.. its about time..

cool, nick.. awesome. I always like the way you ride man.

can't wait to ride with you again, but need more canyon ride to keep up with you.. lol

  • rolpal! downshift sent me a couple shirts dude, so we need to ride again soon so I can give you your shirt!

  • Cool, Nick. That's awesome.

I still have that sticker the Jason Britton one and I got you a key chain with a tag that says "Remove before flight"

  • great job man, hopefully i can get a knee down one day like you

  • just keep putting miles on your bike! It's all about riding and riding some more

  • Awesome video like always bro! Five stars again! Love those mirrors if they are mirros lmao, look like jets on a fighter lol

  • Unfortunately you can't see for shit in them though. But; they do look bad ass.

  • AWSOME VID MAN 5* your intro is siick and your bike is even sicker!!! keep the great vids coming man

  • thanks and right on!

  • ya, you aren't lying about that last corner. I ended up right in it. You no that though cause you were there.

  • badass bro!

  • thanks!

  • Excellent!

I did not realize that was a notorious crash spot when we past there.

  • Yeah it is, It's ten times worse on the way down. There's a sharp blind right then a downhill sharp left.

  • nice vid bro

  • thanks

  • hahahah the intro is awesome how the music gets epic right when your knee touches. your knee was gettin closer and closer, i was like "c'mon c'monnnn!" then "BAH BAH BAH" (music)

  • haha right on!

  • nice, it's now too cold to get the bike leaned over like that here unless you wanna crash lol. But what kinda leathers did you end up going with?

  • I got the Alpinestars SP-1. And yeah I lived in VA for 3 years...it's got to be colder than a witch's titty there right now.

  • it was like low 70's today but it's getting colder, be too cold to do any real riding until late april, i'll do some touring this winter, then next year i'll be going to VIR for track days finally. I was like 40ft behind a friend of mine when he went down on the last ride we did from cold tires. Not worth crashing due to cold. That's good u got leathers now. Where did you live in VA? how'd you end up in SanDog then.

  • I lived in Centreville and Reston. I've been all over...always wanted to make my way out here and work finally permitted so here I am.

  • yeah, up around DC. I hate it up there just too many people for me. I hated everytime I had to go to LA when I lived in Cali, too many people, traffic jams, all that crap, but I miss the roads and the all year riding. Maybe someday i'll ride again in Cali, I just don't plan on living there again lol

  • I really like San Diego, it's laid back. LA is too crazy for me too. Where did u live out here?

  • I lived at NAS Lemoore, for 4 1/2 years

  • First of all nice video, seriously!! Second of all pretty sweet you live in socal, I have some relatives that live in carlsbad in sandiego and some others in torrence ca! California is an awesome place!! Go there at least once an year... but I just go to norcal(bay area). :D
