@oklahomarocker80 you need a very thin hide, on the small,or "macho", drum head, as it is called,to get that metalic sound. the right kind of wood,and lug nut hardware, also help,to create that distinctive metalic resonance. the large drum, is called the "hembra", or female,which, has a lower tone obviously. why are they called this,well,the smaller "macho" drum,can fit, into the larger "hembra" drum,get it ?
