  • Anyone know why exactly Jindos hate water? Is this just a characteristic of the breed?

  • how can you obtain a jindo? i heard they are very difficult to find.

  • Nice and cute dog. :)

  • Oh man I have a Jindo and washing her is a battle. She's fourteen now and she still puts up a huge struggle whenever it's time for a bath.

  • Your family has done a fantastic job in training ppobya and she seems very happy and content..which is proof of how well you have raised her! This makes me miss my own 2 jindo dogs.. they're in dog heaven now~ they ran away twice but found their way back home by themselves. I tear up whenever I think about how loyal and loving they were to me, my family, and friends.

  • aw!!!!!!!!!1

  • It looks like a kid saying the waters too hot or too cold to avoid a bath XD

  • oh man, i wish my jindo would do this! it takes our whole family to wrestle it into its bath. it's perfectly fine when the water starts running, but getting it into the tub is just a crazy mess.

  • @justusquiver Heh, mine just gets this horribly tragic "I Accept My Fate" look on her face (she's very "Omega" compared to other Jindos, but that's what you get for being owner #7 of the runt of a semi-feral litter).

  • i have to do that with my jindo too.....

she has no problem chasing a squirrel into a river, but she has every problem with just taking a bath... -.-

  • @bagleyy Sounds like you need a squirrel for you bathtub.

  • i love how there isnt any dislikes

...awesome dog i miss my girl..hope your okay

  • Jindo is very smart dog, they're used for hunting. There are lots of stories Jindo saved its owner in korea

  • if i get a jindo from when she was first born do you thing i can train it to be socialized?

  • @therandomdude1999 : Definitely, yes. Knowing her breed, I think that you may have to socialize her for a lot longer and more often to make it really stick. However, the answer is yes. I wish I had had a chance to socialize my dog when she was young, but I didn't get her until she was about 8 months old and a lot of damage had been done already by her being tied up for the first 7-8 months of her life with zero socialization.

  • my jindo was pretty bad.. she would run away from the word "shower" because she knew that shower meant bath time

  • Your dog is so well trained! I'm jealous.

My Jindo absolutely DETESTS baths. Even if I turn on a hose to water the flowers from 10 feet away, my dog bolts out of his house and runs as far away as he can.

  • she's so cuteeee!!! quite hesitant to get into the tub wz water... lol! hhehehe!

  • haha i have a jindo to and she hates getting a bath too

  • mmm I love everything about Jindos, including their hesitation to strangers and their constant barking. They are perfect dogs. They alert you of strangers, they are not easy to sway - completely loyal and doubt people they dont know. That's how a dog should be. They are not apartment dogs, for sure. As soon as I have a property big enough, I'm getting me 2... <3

  • Hahaha you have to wear a swim suit. Nice.

  • How long did it take for your Jindo to warm up to you after adopting her(assuming you did not raise her from a puppy)?

  • We got her when she was 8 months old and it took almost no time. We took a week off right after and took her everywhere including many walks.

Now she's almost three years old and judging from her interactions with overnight guests such as my in-laws who she had never met or with babysitters, she usually warms up after a few full days. Obviously, every dog's temperament is different.

  • @ppoppya how much exercise do jindos need?

  • I hate dogs but I love Jindo. I always wanted one since I was a child. They are so smart and obedient.

  • Jindo Dogs are so beautiful. I wish i had one.

  • Aww shes adorable :) Are jindos great pets? Id love to have one someday once i learn as much as possible bout them. I wud love to train one too its so fun to train dogs. How long did it take you to train your jindo?

  • Training in terms of teaching commands to a Jindo is just too easy. The tough part for us has been her prey drive and her aloofness around strangers. That seems to take constant positive training.

  • @ppoppya totally agree, teaching my jindo was so easy, prob easier that drinking a pint of beer :) but her pray drive........well thats a totally different case altogether lol wow these dogs can hunt :) although my aunt has a cat and they just chase each other and i leave them to it :)

  • @Jindovi

I used to have 4, they are the smartest dogs on the planet . I had about 7 types of dogs and the Jindos were the smarest. they used to unlock locks, play hide and seek. my dog played tag with me, like he would literally hit me, run away and

hide behind a wall, and if I don't come getme, he would peek to see why I am not chasing after him. the best dogs, EVER.

  • @Jindovi Make sure you are fully aware that this is a precious dog. It is a treasure from korea. You must not cross breed. And if you have any other dogs do not get this dog. Because it will bully the other dogs. Even if that other dog is 2 times bigger. You must walk it. And you must be able to be alert because when you let this dog outside without a leash it will run away and taunt you. It is smart enough to find its way back home. But there is a chance it may get injured or killed.

  • @TheFunnysamnoob333 So feed it healthy dog food from trusted brands from petsmart. And take good care off it. It is a lovely dog it is the best freind you shall ever make. But you must be responsible. YOU MUST BE RESPONSIBLE THIS IS COMING FROM A GUY THAT OWNS 4 OF THESE GREAT CREATURES!!!!

  • how'd you train your jindo?

my jindo's hate water haha they ARE deathly afraid of them (they are 6 months old) and my dad gets so fustrated because they always run away. how did you train yours?

  • Aww She's so cute when her ears are all droopy and sad and you can tell she'd be saying something like, But I dont wanna get wet T^T I really want a jindo too :D

  • wow i want one of those!!!!! ahh!!!!!!

  • i want one.

  • do u give a jindo dog(who stays outside my garden full of grass and dirt) a bathe every week or what??

And what do u feed it? Cuz my jindo is only 7-8wks old and I've been giving it water, some meaty pasty looking thingy(looks like tofu) and some of those dog cereals(which is just regular dog food)-and I sort of soaked them with milk

Should i give her milk everyday?? or water and wut should i feed her?? Cuz the cereal thingy seems little too hard/big to chew

  • You should have waited at least a month or two till you got your dog.

  • Wow, I can't believe how well trained your Jindo is! My Jindos haaaate getting washed. They fight me tooth and nail as soon as they hear the water running.

  • Really? My Jindo likes to take a bathe. When we say the word "bathroom" or "water" or "tub" She runs upstairs and jumps in the tub. :)

  • amazing. i NEVER bathe my jindo, age 11. she freaked out the only time i tried. never again. but somehow she stays clean anyway. thanks for the video. nice to know it can be done. too bad your photographer stopped filming before we got to see your dog jump out of the tub all covered in soap suds and run down the hall.

  • When your dog " freaked out " were you running the water while she was in there? If you were, the sound of running water is what probably spooked her.

  • Jindos hate baths and getting wet. I couldn't even give mine a bath inside anymore. It came to a point where I had to tie his leash to something outside and use my hose to wash the shampoo out.

  • @leoniagirl

Jindo's are known to clean themselves like cats.

  • aww she dont want to! lol

i just clipped, brushed and bathed both my 60 lb Shikoku dog and 155 lb Spanish mastiff last night. i had to clip in thier ears, around their genitals+around their toes. then bathed them, then blowdried and brrushed them. do that once maybe twice a month. the whole process takes about 3 hours. but its actually kinda fun!!

  • I like how she nonchalantly tries to walk away as soon as the water is turned on.

  • @enygmatical I know right. She was like: "ohhhh no, you don't." *lmao!*

  • hahaha Jindos hate water. I have three jindo dogs and they are all deathly afraid of water since they were puppies. But you trained your dog so well! She's so well behaved =D

  • @Blueluvbug do you think a jindo would follow its owner or prey through something like a stream, for example?

  • @otacon451 I took my Jindo (Tony) to the beach this summer and when I went wading, he followed me in. (He usually doesn't like getting wet).

  • Your jindo looks as she's about to cry at a moment before the end of this video.

  • cool.

she looks big for a female
