every killing joke fan should own a copy of Sarah Brightman's Harem album. Jazz worked extensively on that and it shows - its a stunning album. There was a limited edition with a 'making of' dvd and hes on it a lot.

I just LOVE that Jimi Hendricks that is about start when all this fortune ends.., but not to plame this song to be THE BEST OF WHAT IS. Mutual to others... but not so. Thank You
@ss2341 It's a note by note cover song, it's not like they put some effort in on changing parts a lil bit on here and there for their own artistic interpretation, the only part they changed is the chorus part where you suppose to sing instead they growl death metal style. If you're referring to the sound? fuck that it's not even debatable, it's generic heavy metal bullshit.
@ss2341 lol no, i already said it if it's only for patriotic reason then why not, if you like this you should check out democracy rooster mix, performed by CARCASS but w/original vocals.
these guys are just a poor rip off of marilyn manson, and did they not rip the riff out of nirvanas come as you are? pathetic, unoriginal and uncool if you ask me
@harvest21021982 ummm manson has nothing to do with these guys, nothing at all lol, and Nirvana ripped off of them considering that the song you are speaking of was from 85. go hang yourself, Nirvana are the unoriginal pieces of shit that cannot make anything beyond commercial, average, hard rock.
@thundertower yeah, but mushroomhead dont even take themselves serioulsy half the time, they are like Wednesday 13 or Misfits, but in the industrial metal area of music
@harvest21021982 errr harvest, you want to check your history mate. As a fan of the Joke since the 80's and a big grunge fanatic as well (ie: i love Nirvana) if any band was ripping off the other it was Kurt et al. As for Manson....what the f**k are you talking about???? Are you still in your teens???
amazing, haven't heard this song for 15 years, and found it again today ,now I can't stop listening....the only new things are those which have been forgotten..
@cymbeli Yes.... how dare a band that has existed for 30 years have another band take from them and then have some loser think that their favorite band took from the orginator.
pardon me - system sooooooo slow so didn't register that my comment was uploaded. The I realised it's confrontational of me. What I mean is - "longevity or not...make up OUR minds" pandaemonium rocking the balance though aye!
This is the first time I've seen this video. Great song by a great band! I remember hearing this in Seattle on KISW years ago. The guitar riffs are so catchy with a perfect backing beat.
weird..but i hear Marilyn Manson's Tourniquet verse with this songs verse starting at :47 seconds in. Prolly the flow of the bass. Crazy..never heard a similarity till awhile ago. Great song...but similar sounding verses in my head.
lets face it, Manson's more famous for his covers and swallowing flem than he is for his music. he probably stole that bass line. if you like manson, dont take offence, i dont like him. ;)
The original is part of the New Zealand recording sessions. If you want to hear the original, you have to search for 'Pandemonium (Aotearoa mix)', might also just be 'original mix',
It is the same for Millennium too, that is a Sank remix, the original is also an Aotearoa mix, and is much rawer and punkier. I've also got the original Aotearoa version of Mathematics of Chaos.
First time I saw Killing Joke live was when they did a promotional set for this album down in the basement of Tower Records, Piccadilly Circus in 1995. Crammed with fans, this came on, it was loud and intense. You can imagine it.
@Problembeing I agree this is the first Killing joke song I ever heard and I bought the album shortly after, thhis was back in 94, 95. Still a great song.
I usually can't stand Islamic imagery... it's an oppressive, hate-filled pile of bollocks.... but I do like this. (fair enough, it's in a bit Alladin/ pre-Ottoman/ Sinbad stylee) . But it looks good, non-the less.
I need to add a comment because they deserve so much more than 55 comments. Might this be the most underrated band ever? They certainly were very, very, very important to me.
To deadinapark: Yeah, I know what you're talking about...The descending guitar riff...The one in Helter Skelter is definitely similar, but...It may be a coincidence, right? And anyway, The Cockroaches' song is just a little commercial tune, this, instead...This is the fucking shit!!!
Do I really need to say how much Jaz Coleman is fucking badass when he roars in the chorus: "I CAN SEE TOMORROW"? Fucking amazing! Especially love the chorus!
No,no,I'm not demeaning that song and, yes, of course I heard it. Though I don't like The Beatles at all, I like Helter Skelter. Yeah, it has some pretty dissonant chords, but I always thought (and I'll always think) that it's just like any other Beatles' song, that is a commercial pop/rock tune, only with a bit of distortion added. But, hey, weren't The Who and The Kinks doing it way before them?
But this is just my opinion, it may be wrong, you don't have necessarily to agree with it, right?
I saw them in Paris , they were fabulous... I was surprised to see all kind of people at the gig, men and women, old and young, punk, metal fans and others ... The audience roared with each song, impressive. Long live KJ !
Couldn't phrase that any better! Went to the two Berlin shows last year - wow! That was more than just two concerts - that was a spiritual experience of a kind!
It must have been 1981 or so when I first heard Killing Joke - incredible that they're still as potent now as they were then - the bass and drums on this track are awesome - what a groove! Love it!
If you want a ticket- check out scarletmist- it's an ethical fan to fan ticket exchange at face value- there's only one ticket on there at the mo for £20= search "scarlet mist"- good luck..
Saturday 4th Oct 08 Killing Joke will play the album Pandemonium live at the Forum London- The title track does play amazing live and with the Singles also in the mix on the set list- well it's going to be a gig to remember forever- I can't wait- I can see tomorrow- hear the pandemonium...
