Mesprit was annoying, but if I could catch Giratina at lv 70 with a poke ball, Rayquaza with a great ball, then I think Mesprit would be no problem. One weird thing is that my sister caught mesprit with a great ball. Aside from this, on platinum, I caught Dialga with one ultra ball, on green. Palkia with my 2nd ultra ball. on low green.

Uxie is Easier to catch than Azelf for 2 reasons:

1. Uxie knows Amnesia so once it has used it a few times it is fairly easy to hit it for small amounts of damage and avoid KOing it. Azelf in contrast has lower natural defences and doesn't know Amnesia to bolster them so you have to be very gentle.

2. Azelf knows Nasty plot, which means that after a few turns it can rape most pokemon in one hit, which means you actually have to worry about staying alive let alone about catching the bastard.

Reply to Stickmania: If Uxie use Amnesia then catching him is a pain in the ass because his defence is high. Azelf on the other hand is so easy to catch because nasty plot raises his attack not too much to freakin' just kill your pokemon in one hit so I think I've proven my point.

Um you do realise that having higher defence stats (amnesia related or otherwise) doesn't affect the effectiveness of your ultra balls at all right? Seems like you don't know all that much about Pokemon games if you didn't know lol. And Nasty Plot raises Azelfs attack MASSIVELY if he uses it three times (as in he will be doing 4 times the damage he normally would with every single hit which personally I count as a big increase especially on a pokemon with high attack stats anyway)

No actually I saved before catching Uxie and the first time Uxie used Amnesia and it was SO FUCKIN' HARD TO CATCH!!! But then I reseted and it didn't use Amnesia and I caught it WAY easier so that really proves my point. Now excuse me I'm gonna eat some ice cream XD

(It is possible for example, although extremely unlikely, to catch any legendary pokemon while they are on full health with a normal Pokeball.) Well first of all I didn't say it was at full health it had 1 hp left because I had a Starly with endeavor and a focus sash and I did the same thing twice the first time Uxie used amnesia the second time it didn't. So has that been enough to prove you yet? Plus, if lowering stats makes it easier to catch which I heard in fire red, then why can't it be reversed? Explain it all. Do I really have to explain the actual mechanics of the game to you? Ok then. Right there are 4 things which affect the chance (yes CHANCE) that the pokemon will stay in the ball when you throw it. 1) The pokemons base catch rate (which is typically very low for Legandries) 2) Damage and Satus affects inflicted on the pokemon get added to the catch rate (the pokemons defense stats DO NOT affect this, as I said look it up) and finally 3) The Type of Pokeball you are using acts as a multiplier to

Also (to help your point Stickmania) The multiply rate is also based on timing in battle, some only think that the timer ball works in such a way, BUT if you use a pokeball earlier in said battle its easier to catch thus brining the rate down and up, so instaed of only having a chance at the end when hes asleep and down to 1hp you could also pull out the rattata using endevour and focus slash and that would work

Uxie and Azelf weren't very hard... I just knocked their HP instantly down to critical using Dialga's Roar Of Time, and then kept chucking Ultra Balls, and eventually resorted to a Timer Ball.

Mesprit though... I still haven't caught her. The fact that I used the Master Ball on Cresselia is going to make catching it even harder. DX

cant you just migrate a trecko ir somthing and lvl it up so you get feint attack or somthing that dosnt kill the pokemon but knocks it down to 1 hp and then try throw a few pokeballs?
