I was at the fight and unless you were ringside, we did not see the headbut until after the KO on the 4000 sq ft Jumbo tron. I watched it 3 times again on HBO and Cortez clearly gestures and says FIGHT and then looks at time keeper to see if the clock is running. 1st he should of had them in their corners and 2nd, that headbut is a 2 point deducction, not 1. Ortiz should have been looking at the guy with the gloves on ready to take his friggn head off. He wanted a break and was getting schooled

Cortez obviously did a poor job of conveying to the fighters that is was time to fight. If he had communicated that it was time to fight, Ortiz's hands would have been up. Cortez's head was turned during those punches. The ref's head should NEVER be turned while punches are being thrown in the ring.
