  • They still have it all. It's like yesterday.

  • hasnt lost a thing sings better than madonna or spears thats for sure lol

  • cos they can't

  • Question - Why don't any of the kids on American Idol / X-Factor ever sing this as their audition song ? They'd get my phone vote !!

  • Awesome!

  • loving miss nedra's stage presence... amy winehouse loved them i should too they are one of the best!

  • Who is the other girl on ronnie`s right?

  • My God. Nedra Is Having The Time Of Her Life!!

    They Will Live "Forever"**********

  • great

  • Ronnie was still hot looking, but her voice will always be hot. Sound of a generation

  • who was the lady that walked off the one in the gold who looked so foxxy

  • Tricia Scotti on Ronnie's right has to be one of the sexiest women I've ever seen. Watch the way her shirt falls off her shoulder at 1:46. If that doesn't make you bust a nut, nothing will.

  • @whisky2roxy I agree she is godess.

  • I hope I have those moves at 63

  • @rbruce007 i am 63 and when arthiritis sets in , it's hurts quite a bit !

  • oooh my favorite part ;)

  • Haha, OOohh My favorite part, Ohh. xD

  • wow she looks great and sounds fantastic

  • Why didnt the original girl to the left sing ?

  • @Atomicflash500 she has schizophrenia

  • I love them but it's amazing how one hit can get you into the Hall of Fame when others have multiple hits and can't get in.

  • @behdoc i believe they had several hits. hall of fame is not only how many hits you get but how much you are loved and how talanted you are. the ronettes was disbanded very early in their career by phil spector. i guess he wanted to concentrate on the hundred boy bands and the british invasion, that were a rage. girl groups like this had no chance despite the fact they were very talanted , more than many of the boy bands.

  • When it comes to musical arrangement, Paul Schaffer is a genius!

  • who is the young lady on Ronnies right?

  • Cannot believe how good the drums sound.

  • Ronnie 's still got it.

  • Paul Schaffer's music direction and band are remarkable!

  • 11 idiotas vieron el video!

  • 1ª class

  • Ronnie is THE GREAT ONE

  • Is That "Ula Hedwig", thrid from the left, Short Reddish Hair????

I've noticed Who Ever She Is, She's With "Ronnie" On Most Of Ronnies

Tours Around The Globe. Also Sings Back-up For "Darlene Love"

  • Heavens she is flat!

  • that was great....really one of the all time great songs and no one sings it like Ronnie

  • Is this their only hit? They got in the RRHF with one cut?

  • @n0gar Oh, hell no! Listen to their other songs here on YouTube!

  • Was Phil there??

  • I agree! Ronnie looked so "fine" on Letterman a month ago! My heart ached to watch Estelle get on the stage at the end. Nedra was so kind and gentle with her. Estelle's illness showd that night! Nedra does an insightful interview on the PTL network about life as a Ronnette. What beautiful lady, inside and out!

  • Ronnie looks so good now! Nice and trim and sounds prety darn good!

Check out Letterman's Dec 12th show. She sings........Estelle was visably ill during the RR H performance. RIP Estelle........

  • And in 2011 Darlene Love goes into the Hall of Fame, another great female talent!

  • Gob smacked!! They still sound amazing!! Oh yeah ; )

  • Finally glad this is back on youtube RIP Estelle Bennett Ronnie and Nedra still gorgeous

  • Why does "baldy" Paul Schaffer have to butt into everything ?

  • @ftjax cos he is invited?

  • @ftjax Paul is a dork, but he's a brilliant dork. He did the music arrangements and directed the band and orchestra to replicate Phil Spector's wall of sound on this song. Paul and his band on David Letterman are all respected session musicians who are constantly working. Paul also penned the hit song, It's Raining Men. LOL!

  • A timeless classic. Thanx 4 posting. Loved it!!!

  • For those who would like to see more of the fill-in backup singer on the left, Tricia Scotti, look up "losers lounge". she is outstanding as is the whole group that does various live tributes to many singers, bands, and composers. She sings the cars, dolly parton, etc...the rest of the singers are also outstanding..their "make it easy on yourself" sounds better than the original, these people are stunningly good.

  • @Baileygeep7 Was i the onlyone that noticed that Tricia Scotti lookslike Mackenzie Phillips? when i watched this on TV that was who i thought she was

  • @coolsweetgroovy look up " the aching kind" she does a cover of a michelle phillips' song, see if you still think she looks like her daughter, regardless, she's hot.

  • @Baileygeep7 i just said was that I thought that Trisha looked like Mackenzie because when I saw it on TV I had thought that that was Mackenzie anyway I'll check that vid out

  • Of course she's not going to sound like she did back in the day...duh!! I personally think that they came out and rocked that stage!! They still got it!!

  • You are SO right.

  • You are so right again! As I posted before, Ronnie survived her freak husband, now he is behind bars for life where he belongs! The battered wife, that was Ronnie and still at the age of 65 she still rocks! I can't say enough how much I love her!

  • @janicesoprano Me too

  • This Lady made one of the greatest pop/rock songs in history

she's still a great performer, beautiful, hot, lovely. Respect!

  • She is DEFINITELY flat in spots ("pitchy, dawg"), she sounds like she is struggling (vocally speaking) & is definitely past her prime.

  • let's see how well you sing with throat cancer.... let's see how well you hold your pitch. this show is about honoring rock history makers not about presenting new ones...

the real tragedy here is how does Paul Schaffer, will lee and antone figg still get these gigs? lol, bring back the GE smith Band.!

  • I was there that year and it sounded much better in person.

  • MERCI AMELIE pour m'avoir fait comprendre l'anglais mais je n'avais pas saisis ton MESSAGE

    DOMMAGE!

    I'am fond about you!!!!!!!!!!!

  • flatusnj and poconoboy61 are right. she is flat. The entire song.

  • Yeah? maybe if Phil wasn't such a fuckwit she could have been inducted a decade earlier, when she still had ALL of it.

  • A+ grade

  • 100 GOLD STARS - THANK YOU

  • That is Ronnie's sister Estelle at the end. She suffered from some mental illness and severe depression and wasn't up to singing that night. She passed away in her home in Englewood NJ this past February (2009) RIP.

  • the women in the gold suite, is Nedra Talley, Ronnie's and Estelle's cousin.

  • Who is that girl wearing the off the shoulder top? She looks like Mackenzie Phillips. Would it be cool if that was Mackenzie?

  • Tricia Scotti, very similar to Mackenzie Phillips.

  • One great group,,should have been in H of F. much sooner.

  • @ASTROHOTROD Ya damn straight. That damn Phil worked to keep them out of it!

  • Ronnie was 63 when she was inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame and sang this. I thought she was pretty darned good.

  • yea cuz back then it was about the music not the hype

  • If that was Estelle walking in, she passed away this year. Nedra looks good though. Senior Citzens do rock and still have staying power...At least Roger looks the same, lol...

  • the lady that walked in at the end, was she one of the original singers?

    what happened to her?

  • Just to let you know that the lady who walked in at the end is one of the original members who suffered a stroke.

  • she sounds great...thanks for posting...this is an absolute magical song!

  • The Who weren't even any good when they were young. This is music.

  • Oh puleeze! She's magnificent! Get with the program, She is 65 years old and still gets it! Unlike you! Rock lives!

  • yeah unlike me...lol

I was just saying her singing is flat the whole time...Roger Daltrey is in his 60's...he's flawless...

  • WTF, you are comparing Roger Daltrey to Ronnie Spector! What planet at you living on? Of course, you are baiting me here, aren't you? The Wall of Sound compared to what, the rock opera Tommy!

  • and yes I'm comparing two 65yr old singers..

  • So dear, no comparison here! Ronnie Rocks!

  • Oh, you're just one of those assholes that gets his rocks off insulting people and making people angry.......

  • actually I don't...read what i wrote dumbass

HOW DARE YOU CALL ME AN ASSHOLE!! ALL I EVER SAID TO BEGIN WITH IS THAT SHE WAS FLAT THE WHOLE SONG....if you have ears you can hear that....christ almighty!

  • Well, that is my opinion of you, which I am entitled to. If you don't like replies like that then don't make remarks you know VERY WELL will make people angry.

  • all i said is she was flat in her singing...a fact not and opinion. other people on here call her ugly, fat, make fun of her teeth...bottom line is Ronnie Spector WAS a great performer in her day just not anymore...if stating a FACT makes people angry then i suppose i'm not the asshole after all.

  • I have loved the Ronettes since the first day I heard them, maybe about 50 years ago! They are simply the best!

  • Me too Pete. 50 plus years ago, and they are still fresh and relevant! Rock and roll forever!

  • You know what, the drummer looks vary, vary familiar. But where though?

  • late night with david letterman Paul Schafer band drummer Anton Fig

  • VERY nice job by Paul Schaffer getting that Wall Of Sound sound.

    Dynamite!

  • You got it Dunskie, Danny! The Wall of Sound, how fabulous is this!

  • Estelle, RIP and Ronnie I love you so much! Much love and kisses to you Ronnie!

  • To sierria 64----

Tricia Scotti is the person that stood in for Estelle in this video. Estelle's daughter is Toyin Hunter, age 37, currently residing in California.

  • Man I remember Ronnie in the late 90's was really a strain on the eyes and ears! She really seems to have it together again! Go Ronnie!

  • Probably the best pop song of all time.

  • Ronnie is still HOT.

  • RIP Estelle

    This is a wonderful song.

  • When did she past away?????

  • She passed Feb. 11th, this year. RIP Estelle, we love you.

If your in the New York area March 28th, 29th Ronnie will be THE special guest at The Fest For Beatle Fans.

  • Hi I played this song for ten years in the uk on my disco Good Look Terry

  • wow ... I am your baby

  • u r still hottt!!!! ronnie!!!

  • I wonder why Estelle didnt sing!......

  • they are the best vocal group i ever heard and nedra its beautiful

  • FYI Brian Wilson was so OBBSESSED with this song. The male answer to this song was Don't Worry Baby.

  • Have this marked as a fav and have come back to it about 100 times

    Thank You

    & God Bless

  • RIP Estelle Bennett

  • R.I.P. Estelle you were beautiful and loved

  • Really, WHO IS that on Ronnie's right (our left)????? Whew!!!! She's hot.

  • Whomever she was she was Estelle's replacement

  • Who's the back up singer on the left?

  • @55westend,@coyotesong, and @hidoll22 The Backup singer was Mackenzie Phillips lookalike Trisha Scotti

  • u still got it ronnie!!!

  • I was sadden to hear of Estelle's passing, my deepest sympathy goes out to Ronnie and Nedra and Estelle's family, Estelle is singing with the angels now in heaven, RIP Eastelle.

  • See NYTimes article for full story of her tragic life:

    February 17, 2009

A Life of Troubles Followed a Singers Burst of Fame

    By BEN SISARIO

  • New York Times reported that the reason Estelle did not perform here was due to her long time mental illness. She has been battling schizophrenia since shortly after the group disbanded. She was broke and homeless but with lots of help dressed up enough to make a brief appearance on that night.

  • God Bless her. I was upset when she wasn't performing but now I understand and I pray that she is happy and at peace. She is a beautiful person.

  • The Ronnettes so deserved this honor!

What legends! So glad that Estelle was able to take a bow.

I have tears in my eyes ... RIP Estelle.

  • Nedra still looks great!

    RIP dear Estelle

  • Good night & God bless Estelle - always beautiful, in our minds forever (Best 60's Girlband without a shadow of a doubt).

  • i realy didn,t that. we didn,t know her in craotia. may she rest in peace. she will be remeberd

  • Sorry to hear about Estelle. Ronnie has one of the greatest voices in music.

  • Such a joy to see this! Thanks for posting.

  • its too bad estelle was in no condition to sing with them, but she did get a bow. yeah, the greatest girl group ever

  • god bless estelle she will always be remembered

  • Estelle's last TV appearance with sister Ronnie and Nedra - they went out on top

  • sad;ly Estell Bennet died yesterday aged 67.May she rest in peace

  • I'm SO SAD right now. God Bless her..

  • What!! This is sad. But she left an impressive legacy for people who love great music.R.I.P. Estelle.

  • hot n sexy mamas~

  • This song brings back a lot of memories, thanks for uploading it, they were the best group ever.

  • I found it odd that Estelle did not perform wit her sister and cousin. I can only hope it was nerves and not something more serious. For me there were the all time best girl group. No one comes close.

  • I saw them, wouldnt miss it 4 nothing in the world

  • I get to see Ronnie this year, I can't wait!

  • where will you be seeing her? ty

  • At the Fest For Beatle Fans. It's in March.

The Ronnettes went on tour with the Beatles in 1966. Which turned out to be the Beatles' last tour. So Ronnie's gonna be at the Fest this year. And like I said, I can't wait.

  • pizza where exactly is the show being held maybe i live nearby.peace desiree

  • The Fest For Beatles Fans is held in the NJ Crowne Plaza Meadowlands Hotel in Secaucus, NJ. Are Ya Nearby?

  • Ronnie is still hot. Too bad she got mixed up with that nutbar Phil Spector.

  • She is still ho even in her sixties-no could touch her taoday in her prime-Beyonce Knowles and the like have nothing on this classy lady

  • un peu en court de voix la gamine????

  • cher , sonny and phil spector with you guessed it neil dimond sung back up

  • You got to give it to this "crazy" and "weird" Phil Spector, to Sony Bono, and Cher (who you could hear on the original recording doing back up singing), this is a great song. It actually defined a whole generation of producing great music. the Ronettes are as beautiful as ever! Simply the BEST!!! Thanks for uploading this gem!

  • The Ronettes should have been inducted into the rock n' roll hall of fame a lot earlier than this.

  • Thank you. Phil Spector prevented them from being inducted because he was pissed at them for suing his ass for non-payment of royalties. It's a blessing that they were inducted before Estelle's death.

  • If I'm not mistaken "Be my baby" was voted as number 1 on some poll's of the all time greatest songs. Google it

  • Ronnie's still hot. No current girls sound as individual as Mss Spector. Voice of a generation (Quadraphinia, etc etc)

  • estelle still looks good too.i think she was just camera shy, they all are beautiful women

  • Nedra is up there in her gold dress dancing like she's 18 again! It's good to see them having fun, and then at the end bringing Estella up there to take her place with her family group!

  • I have given anything to be there that night! Lucky Paul Shafer, Anton Fig (drums) and the CBS Late night band. Ronnie still belts it out.

At the very last moment, Estelle jumps in (left side) for final bow. Young girl who took her place did a hot job, however :)

Young guitar players have no clue what a part of history this performance was! They look unimpressed.

Thank you Ronnie, Estelle and Nedra for 45 years of GREAT music!

  • Nedra still looks hot

  • For all you misic experts, Ronnie did not miss a beat, and sounds like she did then. Always had a very different voice anyhow. After what Phil did to her lucky she is even here. Treasure it while ya can these people are going at a rapid pace. Love ya Ronnie keep on keepin on !!!!

  • If that's Nedra talley, I'll eat my hat. That girl looks like she's in her 20's.

  • OK, so Ronnie is singing lead and the large woman on the right is who? Nedra Talley? Estella Bennett?

The young lady on the left is obviously not an original. Who's missing?

  • Nedra is singing with the gold dress, and Estelle, Ronnies sister is brought on the stage at the end. I hear she has health issues.

  • Many thanks!

  • Ronnies sister, she's had a stroke.

  • Poor Ronnie went through much serious drama with that fool ex husband of hers. Phil is a nut he should be locked away somewhere

  • Ronnie keeps on rocking!!!

Amazing singer...no Winehouse and similar without Ronnie Bennett

Blessed Wall of Sound by Mr Spector

  • Letterman's band Paul Schaeffer and the gang..did the backup here.

    and as always..a strong performance.

    jctoronto

  • Das ist Rock-Geschichte. I love this song

  • TEN GOLD STARS

    thank you for a classic

babe on the right rocks too

(all could teach some young'uns sumtin....)

  • still going strong, hugs to you.........

  • Holy shit Ronnie still has it all. WOW blows me away. I remeber this song as a kid and I am 48. She still has that one of a kind voice. Great post thank you !

  • damn, she looks and still sounds great!

  • Dudes... Mercy... this music was recorded on 1962....46 years ago!!!! This lady was yet a woman that time.. so... how old are she now????

I think she is more preserved than most women that i know!!

  • Fantastic post

God I love this song , the Ronettes rock :D

  • She still looks good, and still can sing too.

  • It's just you.

  • Is it just me, or is Ronnie hotter than ever ?

  • always beautiful to feel this song in spite of the years the singer is most recognizable and comes last nostalgia to the youth listening to the same song.hello

  • Is that Michael Shrieve on the drums?

  • Anton Fig is playing drums

  • i mean god bless them all.

  • Thank god all three of the ronettes are alive to receive this honor. im sure they were very proud to have entertained people back in the 60's. God Bless them both.

  • there was only ever 1 Ronette - Phil 'alleged murderer' Spector.
