Its most likely tannerite , or a binary chemical compound like Red Targets. Its just a shock reactive compound, and it dosent require quite the amount of yellow tape that C4 charges would require. C4 will not react when shot, hell we've lit small pieces of it and it just burns, it needs the larger shock (not burn) of a blasting cap to explode.

@neverrr100 No it cant, I'm a combat engineer and work with c4 on a daily basis. it takes an explosive combination of heat and pressure to make it go off. You can even take a little piece and light it on fire and it wont explode because there is no pressure. Also, if there was just a tiny piece of c4 in those birds, it'd be enough to blow a door open.

Small amounts of c4, like an ounce or less, would make an explosion like that. It wouldn't be a pack of it like in CoD or whatever you got the idea from. That being said, it was still fake! ^-^
