If you have a Razer Megalodon. Do you need a Razer Barracuda? If you use Razer Megalodon and you have a Razer Barracuda does the Razer Megalodon has an effect? with the 720? ESP? 7.1? Becayse the Razer Megalodon is USB type and 7.1 surround sounds. Thanks

This is one awesome review bud, i've learnt a lot. I have the HPs + AC-1 & find it mind boggling the control i have over them & i'm never quite sure of the settings for best quality sound. I too have had a Gamer asking how i knew they were there on COD4 & i said "i heard your footsteps" lol. I find myself looking for HD Youtube Vids as well, just for the sound quality. My only gripe is the Volume / dials control when it falls off my leg & i get a sharp tug on my left ear! Awesome HPs tho!

This is the worst shit I´ve ever tried.... First of all the 5.1 sound is not that good as they say it is and the speakers easily brake or work just somtetimes, I have sen my for repair but after 1week I have the same problem so I get brand new ones and guess what, after 2weeks same thing happen! Dont buy this if u want to enjoy them for more then 2weeks.

hey i just bought a Lachesis too and also the eXact mat and exact rest and mat-pack.

Man reviews said that it isnt ergonomic but i find it very comfortable and this rocks. If I buy the Razer Brarrcuda Hp-1 can I plug it into my motherboard which only suppports 2.1 sound. I can not buy the AC-! card right now. Thats why I am saking. Till I get the AC-1 can i use HP1 in the built in sound card?

Yes, you can still use your old sound card. But you won't be getting your money's worth out of the headset till you get a better sound card.

i have the razer barrcuda hp1 and the razer barrcuda ac1 and im using it on vista i installed the vista patches and the razer control panel is not working properly i can not press all the buttom displayed on it for example i cant run the 3d test for some resone if anyone has any idea wat is wrong plz write a comment

It's buggy software from Razer. I've had the same problems. I've spoken with them via email a few times and they say they are working on it, but so far, almost no updates at all since launch. But then, we are used to this kind of treatment from Creative. The only diff is the Barracuda card is more expensive and doesn't take advantage of the latest EAX versions. Great card! Sounds great. But a card 1/4 the price from Creative will sound just as good and allow full EAX and 6.1 speaker support.

By the way, yes, I own both the Barracuda card and two crappy Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer cards. Screech of Death was fun, but the problem was caused by SLI fighting with the sound card. Not by specific problems with one or the other or the other.

I have this headset and they are good while they last. After only having them for 5 months my left bass speaker blew out. And now its doing all sorts of sounds like its having a short in the wires. The Quality sucks too...Paint started chipping on the sides and one of the metal loops on the top broke off.

I would NOT spend the $130 on these headsets.

it will work. If I am correct all razer mice support winbdows XP and Vista 32bit and 64bit. But the Tarantula keyboard doesnt support Vista. It will run but u cant program it and stuff.

Get a brand you can trust. If you don't want to spend money on a soundcard, get SteelSound 5H v2 USB. It comes with a virtual 7.1 sound card which sounds almost the same as true 7.1. If you want to buy a good headset and a sound card. Get Sennheiser HD595 or one of their circamaural headphones.

Also.. The microphone seems very low volume, even with the +20dB boost on in the windows control panel. The mic picks up a lot of feedback from the headphones. I think because I need to crank the mic volume so loud for it to work, and also because the mic boom isn't the flexible kind. The Turtle Beach HPA2 headset is probably better and I plan on getting that soon.

The +20dB is most likely causing the major feedback, and probably picking up your tv from the next room. Turn it off, and turn your output up on whatever program your using instead. Skype/MSN/TS/Vent/Xfire etc... This headset has got so many mixed reviews over the net and in forums, but I bit the bullet, and chose them over Sennheisers/Medusas/5h etc etc, they are nothing short of brilliant!

The 1st HP-1 I had came with a power problem on one of the speakers. After I returned it, the replacement HP-1 worked but had a bad L-R balance on the main volume control. I got so frustrated with it that I opened the controller and just soldered/bypassed the main volume control to the maximum volume, which fixed the balance. Plus, when I opened the control box, I noticed that most of the circuit board had corrosion on it.
