The debates have now moved on to cut-throat politics. The whole 2 hours came across rather dark and depressing to me. The 5.6 earthquake that happened here in the SF Bay Area minutes afterward was perfect timing.

Looking on the positive side, once Hillary gets the Democratic nomination, she will have to choose a running mate. Will the other opponents all become her new best friend then? Another thing to think about: Imagine the power of a Hillary/Obama 2008 presidential campaign.

I support Obama, but the anti Hillary crowd are either naive or overly idealistic. Hillary HAS to play politics to an extent, she has to caution her answers, she HAS to be careful with her answers as they will be twisted and used for fascist fodder.

It is essential that a Democrat be elected and that does mean compromise and toning down somewhat, at least at this point in the process. Hillary would be such an immense improvement over what we've endured for 6.5 years.
