  • Don't mean to be rude or anything, but could you put a world download link? I do understand this is in SMP, and you don't have access to the map, but maybe you could get the owners to crop the trap/recreate it in SSP?

  • @fruityboy08 Well, you can go to incraftion (dot) com and ask for a worldedit chunk of that system from one of the admins there - just tell them I sent you there for the request; they know me ;2) That's the only way I think will make this possible, unless I put in a tutorial on how I built it in the near future. Of course, this was made in 1.3_01 and there will be some major changes due to the 1.7.3 mob updates should I do a new tutorial.

  • @lexielukeplaya77 Hmm, I think this system took me about 4 hours to build and another 3 hours to tweak to its current form (in the video). It is a lot of work, but once you see it working, you know all that time's well invested. Thanks for watching!

  • Love your trap. I made a trap using similar principles for the kill area and noticed if I moved one block back from where the skeletons can see me and shoot so that they stopped shooting, then sat in a minecart on that block that the skeletons could shoot again and creepers stopped exploding for me.

  • @moondark3 I don't know if minecarts prevent damage like that now, in 1.6, but that is an interesting concept I'll check out. Thanks for sharing, and for watching my video! ;2)

  • @omgcamels Yes, I did. That's a necessary step to optimize the trap's efficiency. I ended up collecting lots of resources in the process, so it's not that bad a job to do. ;2)

  • @leungclj Hmm... I don't know if I can fit a tutorial in a 15-minute segment covering all the systems built into this design, but I can think about putting out a series showing how I work with each part. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @hej100 Oh, I see now. You were probably asking if I thought of using skeletons shooting one another to shoot the animals in a "crossfire" situation, right? In that case, no, but I did see someone implement that idea to power his "skeleton grinder", and I will be looking into that concept soon.
