@discotime624 Same here. That scene never should have been a deleted scene. I was very disappointed. Then when Happy Gilmore came on TV, I became surprised that they added this deleted scene. I even cheered for him kicking the crap out of that asshole.
They really should have kept this scene. Imagine if they had made Die Hard without Hans Gruber's demise. Movies are always better when the villian gets what's coming to him. Shooter may be an asshole, but in my opinion he is much less of a villian that Stiller's character.
It's seriously bizarre that this isn't in the regular version. Without it, Ben Stillers character never really gets any form of punishment for being such an asshole.
My dad was angry when he saw the movie and made it look like he got away with being a jerk to the grandma... but when we saw the cable version during a trip to Disneyland... EPIC WIN! :)
I knew Happy wasn't going to let him get away with that!
I remember thinking back in '95 when I saw it in theaters, why the hell didn't he whoop that orderly guys ass? I was really stoked when the deleted scenes came out and this was on it.
Well now we know Happy didn't kill the Mista Mista Lady.

He died shortly afterwards. Gilmore was arrested and sentenced to a life's imprisonment.

I recall seeing this seen in the movie in the past, Why was it ommitted from the movie.

This still isn't the best one, though. One version, I'm pretty sure Ben says "senilitus maximus," not senility, making it twice as funny IMO.

This scene should've been kept in the movie.
Imagine what would've happened if Ben Stiller's character had to deal with someone like Mr. Larsen.
I just think that would be funny.

This was a deleted scene? Didn't realize that...

They probably deleted this scene because no one wanted to see Ben Stiller be thrown from a window and then survive.

They should have kept this in.

Hopefully, they'll be a director's cut someday with this scene added back in.

This scene shouldn't have been deleted. Everything Ben Stiller did in this movie led up to him being thrown out that window, lol.

the movie wasn't quite complete without this scene
jbeard8 1 year ago 60
@jbeard8 Totally agree. I don't know why they cut this because A) it's important to see how the Grandma/Stiller saga ends and B) it's a funny scene.
