  • I first saw this in the IMAX theater at Kennedy Space Center when I was down there on spring break with my family in 1988. You really feel like you are flying when you see it in an IMAX theater. Great film!

  • RIP Walter Cronkite, Dick Scobee and Judy Resnik

  • Theres something about Space & Space exploration that gets everyone excited, yes the ultimate exploration of mans destiny lies in space.

  • I saw this movie as a kid at Cape Canaveral with my parents when we went to visit Nasa. It made me cry at the time and I have always wanted to see it again. Finally now it's posted here after I have been looking for it for so long. Thank you so much.

  • I first saw this film in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in 1987 and I have never been the same since. It is awfully strong medicine to see such an interruption in U.S. space exploration activity, almost more than I can take. We will come back better and stronger once we get our financial house in order with lessons learned.

  • Wow, I saw this in IMAX 20 years ago, it was the most awesome film that I have ever seen, in the true English not American sense of the word awesome. Even now on a small screen it makes my spine tingle, but of course nowhere near the reality-effect of the massive IMAX projection. I wonder if they are still showing this anywhere?

    Thanks for uploading and sharing.
