Would be really interesting if you'd be able to visit real-world places such as... Say, Paris and see a broken, old Eiffel Tower, or perhaps a statue of liberty sticking out of the sand? xD

I can only imagine how... Amazing this game is going to be. Open world, indeed! The thought is almost a bit overwhelming.

Just occurred to me, we have some gameplay videos and screenshots of several areas already, and we could see a good bit of the world in this video, so someone could make a map from all this, so you can explore what is so far known from a top down view, and clicking on certain areas could give you some nice screenshots of that place...

@darklol261 I've actually been aware of that for a while. I just like to bring it up from time to time, as I hope that Red 5 are considering it for future content. It could suit the game very well if done correctly.

@darklol261 True; essentially "world events" like in RIFT, towns get captured, etc.

It would be nice to see a big open area which has several regions which can be captured by player armies and used for resource gathering or something along those lines. At least it's something to think about for the future.

@HipoxXslyXx The game is in beta right now and isn't doing the traditional "closed beta->open beta->launch" formula. Red 5 will roll out invites and give current testers invites to give out on an increasing frequency. Until there are so many invites out, they decide to do a final character wipe and open up the cash shop. Soon after the game will be released for anyone to download. The are shooting for this to happen in December, depending on how everything goes. There is no exact release date.

Sooo.... at the scale that earth is, one tenth, does that mean that you can look from one area to another and see the ground slowly sloping downwards over longer distances? Or is the globe just a visual representation of flat zones so you can better organize everything?

Just make an account on the site and get to know some people, near the later stages of the closed beta everyone will have enough invites that you can get one easy, assuming you don't get randomly chosen for simply having signed up.
