  • It's a real hold, that really hurts, and can do real damage used safely in a "fake" sport.

  • what was i watching, that looked sooo fake that it seems embarrassing

  • Looks alot like figure four

  • Wtf is this?

  • @Gamertag404 its scripted entertainment,

  • Lets support all Shoot and Catch Wrestlers!

  • fake and very gay

  • Why exactly is the name of that move Indian deathlock?

  • this is so bizzare, how can ppl watch such crap lol.

the only thing which is right on this clip isthe fact that the stupidity of the show matches the stupidity of the commentators.

  • oh my god!!very real!! lol

  • There's no pressure on his knee because the submission is being done wrong. When you lie perpendicular to your opponent, it doesn't work. This is for show. The foot has to be close to the body at a 180 degree angle. That breaks the leg.

  • terry funk v harley race. race has funk locked, and YES IT SUCKS TO BE IN THAT HOLD.

  • wow, a real jiu jitsu move in old school pro wrestling

  • who the fuck is getting locked?

  • OMG... The sad thing is that some people really think this is real...

  • um... who's getting hurt here?

  • @RocknHardstyle I think it's Terry Funk?

  • @baliw33 Harley Race and Terry Funk

  • Ya, bang him!! yess harder! oh ya!!! This isnt gay at all! more yesss, yess, more!

  • the commentator really sucks

  • its possible that the indian deathlock would make a return someday, Jack Swagger uses the handspring splash that hasn't being used for 20 years

  • The indian deathlock was a great submission hold that sadly has faded from the world of pro wrestling. Ric Flair told the story recently how 2 modern era WWE wrestlers were planning a match & they wanted to use the indian deathlock, but they had to ask Flair how to apply it because nobody else knew.

  • Wow this is without a doubt the lamest video on YouTube.. You guys seriously talking about this move and how to apply it? This is as fake as it gets. This is like when in pro wrestling someone grabs another guys arm while there standing and starts twisting it with no leverage and the other guy acts all hurt. Get a life there's absolutely no reason to watch pro wrestling when mma, wrestling, bjj, sambo etc are out there.

  • @Rastegarmma The Indian Death Lock is actually a move that can be used in the grappling arts (bjj, sambo, catch wrestling, etc) along with mma and is very effective when done properly. Albeit, the move done in this video is clearly fake and isn't actually causing pain to the 'opponent', the Indian Death Lock is an actual effective move which is derived from catch wrestling or "catch-as-catch-can" (as are many pro-wrestling moves).

  • @Rastegarmma If pro wrestling is so lame then why are you here watching a vid of it then jackass? Did you just come here to share w/ us that you think wrestling is stupid? Do you have nothing better to do w/ your time then troll wrestling vids? Obviously not. Maybe if you were not such an obnoxious, friendless loser you would.GFY!!!

  • That move is becoming rarer theses days

  • @Hell6125 Rarer? Its virtually extinct.

  • the guy in the red could just roll up on top the guy in the black.

  • @silencer6 Ummm, that guy in the red is the legendary Terry Funk. The other guy is the equelly legendary Harley Race.

  • more like an Indian cheesy lock

  • This can hyper-extend a knee, if it slips down you can break and ankle over the shin.

Like all great pro-wrestling holds, there are ways to apply this without harming the other guy and ways to cause a horrible injury. A "work" is two people carrying a match, wrestling AND putting on a show. They aren't trying to hurt the other one, especially since they would work the match again and again on tour.

  • Harley Race signature move.

  • my patella in my knee was fucked up for weeks Because someone Had this lock On my knee And It Fucking hurt I couldnt walk for days

  • LOL. this is funny.

  • i would love if marys would that move do to me^^

  • how does it hurt? what is it doing ?

  • Tears the shit out of your knee. You can't explain, you need to be put in it to understand. Its wierd yet painful.

  • @Orton2008V2 I totally agree as ive done and had this move done to me. Race was nice in the respect that he wouldent stand up completely once it was locked on thats where most of the pressure comes into play

  • now for those who says it's fake, there are videos on youtube that show this move as a legitimate MMA submission. It is real. Maybe not exactly the way they do it in this video, but it is very, very close.

  • fucking stupid

  • this is a horrible IDL even for a fake one. he could just sit up

  • Sitting variation is different and has different target for pain.

Standing and lying version are rare, more painfull and more dangerous.

    ...But less spectacular.

  • @ChoWZa yeah, just sit up & then his opponent would have pushed down on his knee w/ his hands increasing the pressure & pain even more.

  • He's applying the pressure

    He's applying the pressure......

    He's applying the pressure

  • Harley jumping for joy at the end priceless

  • actually heard this from a pro wrestler; wrestling is not fake, it's entertainment. it has always been about putting on a good show for the fans. imo today tho there is entirely too much poor acting and over the top drama.

  • @themyelinsheath No, we don't do you believe that reality TV show are real moron? Why do you idiots constantly feel the need to enlighten us that pro wrestling is just entertainment not true competiton? We know its fake they told us so 20 years ago. So save your breath dickhead!

  • how painful is that?

  • very.....

  • It is VERY painful

  • I've had it placed on me and it's nasty 'cause it's nearly imposible to break out of.

  • If you've had it put on you and it doesn't hurt then your opponent didn't lock it on correctly.. I can testify how vicious this hold can be.

  • for your information, you retard, it hurts like a bitch and it's nearly impossible to get out of. So, unless you've had it placed on you and you know what it's like then shut your big mouth. If someone put that hold on you there's no way in hell you could say that it doesnt hurt.

  • no, i've had it placed on me. i couldn't get out of it but it didn't really hurt.

  • you could put it on me hardygirl lol

  • just wondering, if funk were to sit up and roll on top of him wouldn't he easily get out of it? Or is there something stopping this from happening. Trying to visualize this in my head, but not really seeing it. P.S. Yes I know it's fake & all, but just wondered why he couldn't just reverse

  • Yes he could.

  • @miller434

keeping that ankle pinned down will keep you from trying to roll out.

  • i have had it applied to me. it makes every muscle in your body scream with agony. it is the most painful thing that has happened to be ever.

  • Same here. It's a bitch to break if you can, most of the time you gotta submit.

  • handsome harley race--very few were ever better.

  • The Indian Death Lock is truly S&M without any toys, just using the body.

  • WTF wuz that ?!?

  • I thought the description was a bit odd: 'Very hot'?

    LOL

    Well, I guess?

  • Awesome selling! Two of the greatest wrestlers ever!

  • who are they?

  • The two wrestles in this video are Terry Funk and Harley Race. This is Race ending Funk's 14 month long reign as N.W.A. World's Heavyweight Champion, starting Race's second of eight title reigns. If you're interested at all in pro wrestling, you should check out their work. There's more of it on youtube.

  • @mikebryson This match took place at the Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens. Excellent match, which was typical for these two. Two of the greatest workers and toughest men to ever lace up the boots.

  • Those are two of the greatest wrestlers of all time in there. Too bad the announcer sucked so bad. LOL

  • Ouch!!! LOL

  • Hey, this is real. I grew up in STL, when Harley Race, Rick Flair, the Funks, the Von Erich's, Von Ruscke, and Dick the Bruiser made their bones at "Wrestling at the Chase." The Chase Park Plaza Hotel in Saint Louis. And, oh. I'm a master of the figure four.

  • Watching a champion being forced to submit their title is one of the best sights in wrestling. The submission hold is locked on, the agony begins...pride and misery compete until the champion's will breaks and a submission is screamed. Awesome...

  • nicely put.

  • I have a way with words.

  • @UlricTheUnjust ...except thats its fake, and the acting sucks.

  • @paolotagliano Spoken like a true idiot. These two are Hall of Famers, Terry Funk and Harley Race. They've forgotten more about wrestling than you'll ever know...

  • @alexhortdog95 That's absolutely right, they have! They should have tried to transfer some of their wrestling skills to their acting career though..

  • Dude, props to Triple H for bringing a version of the move back at WrestleMania.

  • but his does not hurt as much as this one does this one actually BREAKS your legs

  • looks like trevor murdoch hahaaaha

  • Great video. This was from 1977, and it was Race's second NWA World title victory. This goes back to when wrestling was something special, not the bloody cartoon that it's become today. Thanks for posting!

  • This is when Terry Funk was the champion and Harley Race was the contender.

  • The King Harley Race!

  • I'm not sure but I think it's Terry Funk.

  • Yes, The Victim is Terry Funk, the commentator mantions it 5 or 6 times...

  • i only know harley race, what is the another's wrestler name?
