  • @zxloulou damn straight

  • A comment below states this engine was terror to the 4age, thats bullshit. why do you think the 4age engine line kicked around until 98 and under went many revisions adding power, honda had about 7 years with this engine and gave it up and compensated with the b16

  • lol.

  • SPOON+FOOD=EAT

    yummy

  • eg and ek so ugly this is nice

  • niiiice

  • Street tuner did a article on this car where you can actually see the ZC engine.Mugen ,spoon ,toda they all played around with the ZC engine in the early days.Look it up !

  • 230hp at 9800 rpm? whatever you are on, i want some of it.

  • yep.. the car is actually a E-AT 1985 driving in the jtcc, it was very limited and under strict regulation for the modification... the engine is a honda ZC 1.6L DOHC non vtec engine, an engine that did had quite a long stroke and low compression but still made 230hp at 9800 rpm.... quite amazing hey for an old wonder civic of the mid '80's, it was the terror of the corollas ae86 with their 4AGE... for more info I remember a superstreet magazine article showing some info about the car..

  • well... the Zc Spoon engine of that car made that power! ... a company stock one was more like 130 at 6800... quite a difference

  • @zxloulou where did you get that HP figure from? 230HP @ 9800RPM?

  • @Jimster481

go see superstreet magazine online... and make a little a search they had an article about that car when they visited type one, Spoon Factory, they had the spec from there

  • @zxloulou you're high if you think that motor makes anywhere near 230hp. that car weighs about 1900lbs w/ driver. imagine what it would look like coming out of the corners with 230hp. it would look like a wild banshee being hurded off a cliff against it's will.

  • @MetricHotrodsdotcom Just under 130 standard.

  • @MetricHotrodsdotcom

like he said OEM SPEC of something near 130 hp....

JTCC GROUP N (wich is something like super touring)

'' The Spoon racing E-AT boasts 230hp at 9800rpm where the stock E-AT Civic Si with the ZC gets 130hp at 6,800rpm.''

my source come from superstreetmagazineonline, after they visited type one, the spoon factory,

From the June, 2009 issue of Super Street By Taro Koki.

please do some research before saying shit

oh and by the way if you think a 230hp, 730kg car can't lap.... do look for the ss-work EF7 CRX... look for something called the battle at 10,000 rpm by Best Motoring

  • @zxloulou son, you really do not know what youre talking about. just because you read it in a comic book called "superstreet" doesnt make it true. thts the problem with you kids. youre 15, and know nothing but what you've read. im twice your age, and ive built and blown up these motors since before you were born. come find me when you get a little grease under your finger nails. "research" is for children. EXPERIENCE is for men. buh-bye.

  • hey grandpa you are the king! oh yes you are!!!!!!

-would a 15 y.o. kid post videos of is KID on youtube?

-and hey look, they're grease under my fingernail, I've just come back from work, I'm a car mechanic

-Hey fuck they're is a 91 civic b18a ls 92 obd1 currently being rebuilt in my garage, how could that happen??

-Ho shit they've never sold that ZC in my country but hey we did have the B18 LS the non-vtec one I'm use to work on it, and ho we have D series too, but shit they're only SOHC...

  • but seriously, I've seen what can be done with the LS and I done it myself, it's not the ZC but it do give a good idea of what can be achieve with dohc non-vtec, and since we do not have any infos on the internals and mapping I tend to believe that it is possible for a big budget race team, fuck, I know that those numbers are incredibly high since I hardly got shy of 200 just to see the engine get worn out so fast, but hey I do not diss everything I read...

  • ....I have experience, but I<m no master nor God of Honda tuning, so I tend to believe that some can do better than what I did, but, hey, I've got nothing to prove to you, but if it happen that you just hit the province of quebec in canada, let me know, just so that we can have a chat around my garage and so you'll see you're talking shit about someone you don't know... we may don't have the same opinion, at least show respect, you're the man? you're dissing people on youtube? come'on

  • pre-obd and still whopping ass... this car is the reason I even like efs, even though this one is the model before it, the resemblence is somewhat there.

  • SPOON = SPEED SOON. That is the REAL abreviation, PERIOD.

  • Whats spoon, mean?

  • it's a tuning company in japan

  • its a brand name

  • Spoon is a famous japanese honda tuning specialize company. It's named a curved of the suzuka track...

  • haha defiently not an ef thats a ea bro thats its chassis code.

  • I know its a fukin E-AT i was on your side retard I was just correcting that other guy,

    DAVORZZZ

  • the chassis of the car EF, u kno, eg , ek , wtf u talking bout

  • its an ea bro

  • for the last damn time it's an E-AT. wtf u talking bout?

  • You're retarded bro.

  • How am i retarded?

  • it does not have the chassis of a EF. it dont have independant suspension like the EF, EG, EK.

  • Acutally it appears it does... at the start of the video it rips a 3 wheeler only IRS cars can do that.

  • that can just be a bigass sway bars

  • what the fuck are you talking about??? its a E-AT... it fucking says so in the god dam video! @ 00.45 !!! you and the other morons say shit without knowing what your talking about....

  • nice fuking Ef

  • Comment removed

  • its not an EF moron. its an EA.

  • EA its in the game

  • i know ithought it was an ef too but its an ea,they look pretty similar

  • Beautiful!!! I love it, thanks for this video

  • dope!

keep bringing that old school flava!!!

    peace

    ---jerry

  • damn i have an ef... but EA seem to be more fun looking in my opinion... they just handle so bad ass... i would have them illegal if i was the president haha... basicall go karts... i totally want one now... fucking nice... ugly hatch though... i would fix that haha

  • Wait a min when I search EA nothing comes up but when i search EF this car comes up whats the difference.....

  • E-A is what you need to search. EF is an 88-91. EA is 84-87.

  • Ahh I see now, that's really good to know, thank you for the insight...this is good info to remember.

Hmm even so its hard to find more info on Google with this year civic (was EA a JDM model only?) and what was the biggest differences between the two (was it exterior engine interior) sorry for asking so many questions but its good to know this (especially if your a Honda enthusiast.) '3'

  • search for 84-87 civic. EA is still a USDM model, but doesn't usually come up.

  • It's not E-A, it's an E-AT, or AT chassis. An 84-85 Accord is an E-AC or E-AD, and a Prelude is E-AB. Most of the time you just leave of the E on the older models.

  • hey, what video is this from.. i presume a best motoring.. but which one?

  • nope, Spoon PROMO from a very long time ago.

  • @fragilethissideup I can tell lol tsukubas grass has never been that green in a long time

  • holy shit that one old ass car lmao

  • Thats a fast EF. Never seen an EF come out of the corners that fast. Go Spoon! By the way the engine wasn't necessarily swapped. The B16A was available in the EF9 Civic in 1988-1991.

  • it's not an EF. it's an EA.

  • HAHAHA. yes.

  • eheh is this video recorded from tv?

    i can see the "box"

  • HAHAHA yes.

  • I thought those cars came with a ZC carbed

  • EFI. not carbs.

  • zc power

  • i think its a zc..

  • LOOOOOOOOOL

    NOOB ALERT

    think about

did spoon make any d-series parts??---NO

Come the EF9 stock with an B16???---YES

Oh i guess maybe its an EF9 and it comes stock with an b16 and maybe is a big chance that Spoon modiefiet it ;-)

  • what the heck are you talking about? YES spoon makes D series parts you douche. YOU have no clue what the heck you're talking about. they just focus more of there high-end parts for b series cars. i still don't even understand your post. it's definately not an EF9.. it definately runs a ZC. and what is modiefiet it?

  • Its not even an Ef9? Its an EA which was fitted with a D16 ZC. And yes, spoon has played around with the D series before.

Noob alert said by a noob LOL

  • maxrev you are a fucking idiot, lulz at your face

  • that shit is sick...

  • oldskool power! (h)
