all i gotta say is that mustang is super heavy. drop the weight down to the same as the Z and watch the z get left behind even more than it already did. i myself am a stang owner 06' and i love it. i hate rice burners have smoked many of them on the highway. my buddy owns a Ford GT and it is 550hp stock shaped like a lambo or something of that sort its all around an amazing car.

My z is an 05 all bolt ons, central 3.91 final drive, Cobb Tuning Access Port wich did no convinced me so I changed it with unichip pnp but i haven't tune it yet it will do better when i get to complete this step and i'm running stock factory wheels except for tires, i got 275/ 40/17 BFGoodrich tires on the rear, and they are not drag radials,but i'm going to stop talking and post something, i just signed up today.

@TheZohaun stock cobras can do 12.5 with drag radials, even a worse time with street tires. I am not an expert on the subject maybe I'm wrong. I'll give u a point.
@Braliz33 when i went to the track with some friends in the local mustang club where i live there was a gt500 that ran 12.11 @ 112 mph with street tires and didn't take any pressure out before running it. he then took pressure out of the street tires and got a better start off the line and ran 12.03 @ 112mph. His gt500 was completely stock even the rims were stock.
@TheAliZ33 um sonny, then youre racing newbies at the track. my stock gt can run 13.3 and 12.9 with just an intake and tune. cobras run 12.2-11.8 depending on the year and the pulies. 12.8 is really good im not bashing you at all but gt's can outperform than with as little as $700 in mods and cobras can outrun that stock.

i raced a 06 GT around a track a couple of months ago and i wasnt too impressed. He's faster than the Z at the str8 but not fast enough as expected from a 4.6l. Being an amateur track driver, i was able to stay glued to him even at every turns - and the driver has been on the track many times!
Funniest thing was that he even almost ran out of fuel right after the 2nd session. We both had full tank when we started and i finished the 3rd session with still half-tank of fuel remaining.

Is it possible to get a VQ with a bit over 1000hp with the supporting parts? Or is it just too much for it because it has an aluminum composite block? I really need insights, because I'm having a dilemma between getting an R34 or 350z. The R34 is harder to import where I'm at (Kuwait), but I can get the 350z easily from the dealership.

i raced a 06 GT around a track a couple of months ago and i wasnt too impressed. He's faster than the Z at the str8 but not fast enough as expected from a 4.6l. Being an amateur track driver, i was able to stay glued to him even at every turns - and the driver has been on the track many times!
Funniest thing was that he even almost ran out of fuel right after the 2nd session. We both had full tank when we started and i finished the 3rd session with still half-tank of fuel remaining.
