  • I have this game on NES not on anniversery collection. it's so cool

  • I just recently stumbled across all these Mega Man videos on youtube...

Holy cow, do they bring back memories.

MM2 was always my favorite...and despite the simple "MIDI" files or whatever they used, the music kicks ass to this day...especially The Bubble Man and Metal Man tunes.

  • Bubble Man: Pathetic choice in weapons, great taste in stage music

  • No disrespect to the poster, but I played this before turbo controllers and would never use one. I'd wear that button out until I got blisters. Nice post though, brings back memories of my childhood.

  • Check out Mega Ran's Bubble man rap he killed this beat.

  • I hated those damn mines. I always jumped too high and blew myself up.

  • Hey! This megaman didn't have a difficulty mode!

  • This video was recorded from the Mega Man Anniversary Collection (for PlayStation 2), which doesn't have the gameplay difficulty menu right from the title screen. Instead, the diffculty is set from the Gameplay Options menu from its Options screen (where players can actually control Mega Man, and he can enter different rooms for features, settings, and games).

  • Maybe its the fact that I grew up listening to it, but I honestly think the music of this game is some of the most wonderfully composed I know of, video game or not.

  • @druckman it's not because you grew up with it .I didn't even had a clue what Megaman was when I was a kid and I love this soduntrack.

  • Fun Fact: in the PAL version of MM2, Mega Man makes a fart sound after he jumps

  • mega man 2 is a Standard, and yea nowadays Modern Warfare, Fallout 3 , Gears of War, Halo, Mass Effect , Read Dead Rev, Grand Theft Auto, Etc are Cool. MY point is this game Megaman 2 like Simon' Quest, Super Mario bros, Final Fantasy 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Wizard & Warriors, The Legend of Zelda, Double Dragon 3 will never die. The new games Next Gen games are good some arent but, these Nes , Snes, Sega Classic, Dreamcast, will always be my Favorites really Ever! good post

  • is this a new game? cause i noticed it was copyrighted from 1988 to 2004...

  • This video was recorded from the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, which was released in 2004 (so it is a fairly new emulation of Mega Man 1-8, Mega Man: The Power Battle, and Mega Man: The Power Fighters).

  • @Dogslax3333 it was the mega man classics version on the xbox which came out in 2004

  • BUBBLEMAN engraved in my heart..

  • this songs port to super mario world sounds so much better than this original one

  • 1988-2004? O.o

  • MEGA MAN MUSIC 4EVER

  • Use the RCA audio jack!

  • 2:40 are those metroids!?

  • One of THE greatest VG tracks EVER created.

  • thos little frogs are dicks

  • You using auto-shoot on an emulator?

  • Yes, in a sense. That's the rapid fire feature in the Mega Man Anniversary Collection, which is preformed by pressing the triangle button for the PlayStation 2 version (I believe it's the Y button on the Xbox and GameCube versions).

  • Ah.

  • I hope that helped clarify something.

  • Yeah, it did. Thanks.

  • You're welcome.

  • @OceanBlueKirby It's not a feature so to speak, the orignal NES had a controller called the NES advantage with turbo buttons on.

  • I'm aware of that, and there also was a plain turbo controller made for the NES, as well. I called it a feature for the Mega Man Anniversary Collection since it seemed to be an additional aspect from the original games (considering, in this case, that the standard NES controller was used for play); in this sense, the Navi Mode is also a feature for the compliation game.

  • Your very good

  • Im sorry but I just dont understand how everyone is crazy for BubbleMan's theme music.

It doesnt pump you up like crashman's theme and doesnt have that dramatic feel like the intro.

  • Wow I have to disagree Southpawuppercut. I love this tune and I think it fits very well with this stage! This track could EASY be my favorite. Then again, I love every fucking theme on this game lol! This is one of my favorite NES games ever! :D

  • except quick mans theme dont rly like it to be honest

  • I think Woodmans muic :) classical. when i was youg i played this i got my nes from the loft and played it and by did the music bring memories thanks for music :)

  • You're welcome. If you want, you can listen to Woodman's theme in a seperate YouTube video that I have uploaded, as well.

  • this guys brutal!

  • Snake man remains my favourite robot master theme, with tornado man up second^^

This is pretty cool too, but it lacks perfect notes. It´s the best Mega Man game, number 2, though, no-one can take that away from it.

  • Airman*

  • No Tornado Man, I would have wrote Airman if I´d ment him.

  • *written

    sorry for the bad grammar...

  • ahhh the memories when i was 5 playing this. the music was amazing.

  • The GREATEST Music in the Mega Man Series! (And Metal Man's a close second!)

  • cool music but the player sucks...reminds me of me when i was 8 when it came out.

  • wow.. BubbleMan really is easy boss. Megaman III he's way too easy

  • Dude I can shoot faster with my thumb...

  • wow, it's totally the same as the one in mushroom kingdom fusion, it's just that you won't get damage that easily

  • finally someone actually uses the rapid fire button

  • someone's using a turbo pad >_>

  • I have that theme 4 my MP3

  • how ya get it on mp3 bubbleman song for mega man?????\

  • where do you download it?

  • dude u suck at this game :p

  • dude u suck cocks :p Now stop flaming

  • lol, nice comeback

  • yo dis song be jumpin off!!!! in my future wedding i want it played with synths, and at the post party we gonna break it down to tha crash man level jam, fo sho dey know

  • Yea, any girl would fall head over heels for that.

  • True, though it is kickass music, it's not fucking wedding music lulz.

  • i really appreciate that you uploaded this. But you suck at playing :p

  • u like brute force, dont u? ^^ u dont have to kill everything in the stage

  • Well, yes, and I do try to defeat as many enemies as possible. It's a good technique to use as some of the enemies can drop helpful items.

  • indisputable.

  • Heh, well, I'm glad you see to that.

  • Exactly. I used to have a few spots in the game where I would keep shooting enemies to get back all my health and weapon energy, but also to get quite a few free guys.

  • Sometimes I do this as well. Killing the enemies is definitely helpful in this regard.

  • those things falling from above on 2:38 and forward kind of look like metroid )'_'(

  • One of the BEST Megaman tracks EVER! I hum to it all the time! :)

  • Agreed. It was absolutely perfect for this level. Man, I hear this music and it makes me want to beat the game again.

  • the music on this game kicks ass it brings back good memories btw megaman 1 is one of the hardest games I ever played on the nes

  • seriously the music in this game is nuts

  • man, this game had some amazing music.

  • I agree with megottabeblue... the music in this game kicks ass. I don't know if it's because the it was such a great game or what... but these tunes will be stuck in my head forever! lol

  • woodchuk, flash man is e-minor. dead-on for the rest *thumbs up*

  • there is alot of good music in the megaman series but in my opinion i think this one is the best

  • Well, Megaman 2 isn't the only Megaman game, that suffers from kickass music, its all of them. Everysingle one of them has kickass music.

  • Suffers?

  • "to be experienced or subjected to"

  • IM 20 I know what it means.XD

  • this is the best music in gaming history love it.

  • I love this song... But the remix screws it up for me.

  • Crash Man's tune is good too.

  • I always liked this song as a kid! Still do at 23 :) . Ha ha!

  • yeah im 23 and i love this song too bro. started picking up some of these songs on guitar!

  • I always thought that the baseline on the stages on this game were pretty advanced....this one is my fave.....and my fave mm game....something funny is...i just beat mm1 about 2 months ago for the first time....anyone else think mm1 was hella hard?!?!?!

  • Yeah, it was. Never being a Mega Man fan, I decided I would start playing it to see how good it really was. So I tried Mega Man 1 at a friends house, and I couldn't even get to the ending bosses!

Glad someone agrees out there with me.

  • yea....i realized that MM1 didn't give out very many extra lives or power ups during the game play....i guess it was originally made for nerdy 'tensai' japanese players. (tensai means genius)

  • Lol, reminds me of the whole SMB 2 thing. When ported over to america, they dumbed it down for us.

  • yea! lol

  • esse tema , música e jogo é uma profunda viagem ao passado.... infância e tal ((1992))

  • I have always liked this tune - it's beautiful, and it has a dreamy quality that matches the watery landscape perfectly. This is a nice little piece in the key of Eb major. The "dreamy" feel is due to the use of C and D notes to imply alternating major sixth and major sevenths (Eb6 to Ebmaj7). These given an "open" feel and a sense of tension and resolution. At 1:41, they throw in a G major chord, which comes from C harmonic minor. Then we switch to C minor, and back to Eb major. Nice!

  • Excellent breakdown woodchuck, I always though this tune was in D.

  • Thanks! As you can probably tell, I'm a music theory nut, so if you want more tunes analyzed, shoot me a comment. For a little more Mega Man II stuff, here are some stages I've picked out.

    Crash Man - F# major

    Metal Man - Bb minor

    Dr. Wily (1st and 2nd stages) - C# minor

Flash Man - Largely Eb minor, with 1 or 2 odd notes

    Heat Man - D minor

If you want more, just ask!

  • how about air man?

  • Air Man's is a little tricky - it sounds like it's mainly Bb minor, but it's probably a mode of some sort, because I played Bb minor over it and it didn't sound quite right. The main line sounds like it has a few chromatic notes in it that are outside of the key. I'll have to sit down and try to pick it out a little closer. It could be the synth effect making the notes harder to pick out, because it sounds similar, but not quite identical to Metal Man, which I know is Bb minor.

  • cool. thanks :)

  • Let me amend my previous comment. After careful listening, the alternating C and D notes here do imply a chord progression, but not Eb6 to Ebmaj7. While the C notes do imply an Eb6 chord (Eb G Bb C), the bass notes actually imply a Gmin7/D tonality, spelled as D G Bb F. However, a Gmin7 (G Bb D F) can be seen as an upper "extension" of an Ebmaj7 (Eb G Bb D), as three notes are shared between the two. In the context of the piece, though, Gmin7/D is the more appropriate choice.

  • best mega man theme ever.you get a sense of adventure with this tune.

  • Best game ever!

  • And I always used to wonder as a child why Bubble Man was running sprinklers underwater. Get with the times! Be environmentally friendly!

  • Capcom should release this game's soundtrack on a CD!

  • Bad freaking ass. This was my favorite tune in the game, alongside Air Man's level.

  • lol man u kinda sukk but it's cool. most of these ppl on here nerds playin like robots. like the other dude said, at least u beat it...and the music classic.

  • Greatest Mega Man stage music ever!

  • capcom's best game series of all-time are

    mega man and street fighter.

  • Best megaman 2 song :D

  • kick ass song, I love it!!!!!!!!

  • Its amazing how some songs are just timeless. I've heard a lot of youtube remixes and it just doesn't capture the original midi feel. Well done Capcom. :D

  • Whoever played this you are terrible at Mega Man 2... maybe you should take up a career in something simple like Pong..

Try using the metal blades to kill those giant fish............

  • Sure, I may not be fantastic at the Mega Man games, but I can bet there are more worse players than me, especially since the platforming and boss order aspects can be tricky for some. This was the first stage of the game I had gone through since it works with the stage order in compliance of the items recieved and to use them, so I could not use the Metal Blade to defeat the Monk Fishes.

  • eh at least you beat it lol

  • I have more videos of the first two Mega Man gamed, which might show more than just simply beating the game. A great effort was put in to making each of my gameplay videos made up to close-as-possible perfection, for some part to help folks. I've shown these through the Mega Man Anniversary Collection on the easy setting to enhance uniqueness and to save time, as well, just as the descirption explains.

  • Try using the metal blades to beat 95% of the game, more like. Booooring.

  • MMAC Vers=BULL SHIT

  • To bad i sold my NES 3 years ago :( Still wanna play megaman 2 :(

  • i hate you asshole! sike i love you.

  • Loved this as a kid

  • i still love this

  • Too bad it is EPIC FAIL when they went 3-D.
