  • We know that at least one person is a jealous trumpet player.

  • This song was so not meant for trombone....

  • @TheAppDeveloper hey dumbshit this song was literally made for trombone

  • @SnowballSamples no it actually wasnt. Arban was Jean-Baptiste Arban was a cornet player, and he wrote this piece for trumpet. You will find it in the Arban complete method book for euphonium and trombone, because the book itself was transcribed from trumpet, to trombone.

  • @TheAppDeveloper Your right; it was meant for cornet. But, it should be played on trombone because it is twice as difficult since there are no valves. It shows great skill.

  • that was reallly good. to bad he bumbed the last note, killer

  • I'm playing Variation 2 for Solo & Ensemble. Tough stuff.

  • That was great. I can play maybe half of this haha. The intro. All of variation 1. Except for the 32nd scales. Variation 2. Varation 3. And half of 4.

  • my mom played this!!!

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox On trombone???

  • @TitusVeneficus yes. When she was a senior in high school

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox So you were not around. Do you have proof? A video? I do not mean to insult, but that is a pretty hard piece. I was a top bone in high school and college and it damn near wasted me!

  • @TitusVeneficus i dont have a video, i wasnt born then but my mom has the music upstairs. She got a second, one point off tho. The reason is that her band director changed the music 2 weeks before the performance. I say my mom was truely a amazing musician. She doesnt play anymore tho. :(

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox I believe you. She is truly amazing. Do you play music? I hope you skipped trombone, because it would be very hard for you to walk in her shoes. By the way, tell her I said so.

  • @TitusVeneficus yup, i play music. I play the trumpet tho. Im starting to learn the trombone. i want to become a band director. I play the trumpet, flute, baritone, piano, soon to be trombone, and some pecussion. Trumpet is the main one. One day, not in high school tho, I want to play this piece. on the trumpet tho.

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox Good luck with that. But don't be disappointed if you can't play Carnival of Venice. If you were to follow along with the sheet music, you would see that even though this was a good performance, there were many notes that he glossed over.

  • @TitusVeneficus oh no. I'm only 13. And i already have the sheet music. I can play a little bit of the melody, but thats it. I'm going to wait to try.

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox OMG! You are a girl! Forgive me, but in my day that was unthinkable. In every band I played in, Jr High, Sr High, Wake Forest University, DC Community Orchestra, I had never played alongside a female on trombone. I'm glad I did not meet your mom, because if she had been better than me (and it sounds like she was), I would have quit! Times have changed now though.

  • @TitusVeneficus yes, i know. My mom was the only girl on the trombone. My moms 50, so yeah, i Think back then it was unthinkable. When my mom went into highschool. My mom toke the first chair away from a senior. But he had a fit and she had to be second. My mom is amazing and awesome

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox You just brought back a flood of bad memories. My senior year I walked into class to find out they had given my first chair position to...a freshman! I threw a fit and walked out. The rector said the only option I had was to take another class, which was out of the question. The band director came up with a solution. We would both play prepared pieces that she would judge. I chose one from Arban, but I did not dare try Carnival.

  • @taylorswiftrockmysox She declared the contest a tie and we rotated first chair every week. I do not think that if it had been your mom I would have had a problem with it, since she was clearly better than me. But I really gave that frosh a hard time. Wish I could find him today and apologize.

  • @TitusVeneficus oh i see,

  • wow. that was amazing.

  • clapping in the middle of a piece of music is very rude! : ]

  • последний ми бемоль ваще угар

  • impresionante

  • Incredible. Almost humanly impossible...From an old trombonist.

  • Age most of the time doesnt have anything to do with it JC

  • @JCPUTT Especially on this piece. Age doesn't matter.

  • dayyyyyyyyyyuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm

  • MINCHIA!

    Complimentoni! Davvero eccezionale!

  • Nice. I never knew this was performed on a trombone...wasn't bad at all. I'm impressed.

  • Yeah this is good stuff! You should check out the performance by Håkan Bjørkman, which is just unreal...

  • Brian, woke up a Sunday morning and during coffee this popped up on the Tube. Absolutely loved it: the theatrics were hysterical, the solid technical control of Arbans, Bravo!
