Thank you for all the positive comments. This was the first time I have ever read them. I really appreciate everyone who came to my defense! I had no idea a "fun ride" would cause so much controversy! Burberry is a wonderful horse. He is so good at his job. He taught my daughter so well and I had such a blast on him with and without a bridle!
That's really cool, my friend rides her horse without a bridle all the time. I think the fact that you are able to ride your horse at a show, shows how well trained your horse is. My horse can't be ridden without a bridle yet, but we're working on it. Good job.
what is she pulling on?? whoever trainer this girl rides with...omg. showing at an AA showat hits BRIDLELESS is the STUPIDEST thing a person could do in a show. what the hell would happen in the warm up ring if they took off? u BOMBED the single oxer cuz u thought it would be like what, impressive showing without a bridle?? NO its IDIOTIC and DANGEROUS. and your poor horse is SOOOOO lame at the trot when u came in!!!!!!
if your horse listens off your aids really well like the seat and such then its not that bad. she did a very impressive job theres no way I could at the moment and I don't think id ever do a show bridleless that for sure
i jest got back from haven a sleep over at brandie'z house and nme and hunter were riden hole bunches oh horses and all i got to say bout her butiful stallion argie is "ARGIE <3 GABBY!!!!!!"
This horse kicked my ass in the 3'6" Juniors at the American Royal this past November. Damn he can jump. Her daughter was riding him then, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he could go bridleless, he was shown in a happy mouth d-ring with a slack rein. good horse.
ok im not lying about this but i know her this is brandi riding her daughters hunter Burby while she was doing this i waz at another areana with Huner ( her dauter) getting ready 4 her 2 show her jumper blue i got my horse Dallas from them!!
Awesome! I saw Brandie Holloway at the Mid-Winter Classic horse show in Tulsa, Oklahoma last week! And I saw this horse while her daughter was schooling him. I was thinking to myself, wow that's a beautiful horse! I love his tail. And my instructor, Cassie Goldsworthy, came up and said she LOVES Burberry and wanted to buy him a few years ago. Two horses at my barn came from Brandie, Coleman and Sam. I watched this video like a year ago, and didn't realize who it was! :D
I jump bridle-less all the time.. you don't need a bit or bridle and im faily sure she doesn't have one on her horse, just the neck rope. I wonder if this was a bridle-less class or she just decided to do it without the bridle.
um eq dreams.... get a life brandie is awsome and i know that for a fact. she told me in person that burberry doesnt have a bridle maybe your just stupid or pathetic to pause it every 5 sec to prove her wrong and its not illegal. your just dumb get a life
dont get me wrong, i think the horse and rider are very attractive and im sorry if the way i watch a video pisses you off so much, but thats not my issue.

ummm... he does have a bridle on. if you pause it at 1:58 you can totally see that reins. plus it's not leagal to compete without a bridle. so idk what you are talking about. stop telling shitty lies
hhmm maybe but throughout the vid the rider is pulling the rope or reins or whatever they are and it seems like it has contact to the bit... oh well oh yeah... who pissed in ur cheerios? (thnx xxassessment!)
haha nice, pissed in cheerios... i like that one! but ya it should be illegal to not have a bridle when showing but when the rider pulls on the rope r reins r somthing it seems like it has contact on the bit... oh well
you can compete without a brible in bridleless class and im guess other classes like this im not totally sure i do jumpers not hunters or eq but i think your allowed to
self carriage and being in a frame are the same thing if not closely related. self carriage is when a horse maintains a frame on their own without being asked.
you dont know anything about me my videos are just that videos...nothing more...not a reflection of my knowledge in the least. you were the one saying "i dont want to argue" well then stop responding.
lol uhhh hunters have nothing to do with your form. hunters is all judged on the horse and the horse is judged on its form and self carriage, therefor they arent held in any frame. they fall into the frame naturally
*applause* I wish all people could ride a horse in this fashion (or at least in a snaffle). That certainly shows the rideability and manners! lol too bad about the funky distance. Maybe the judge "wasn't looking". ;P It was fabulous round!
what a beautiful horse! and he looks pretty calm and happy too, you guys make a great team!

Uhhm. Who pissed in your cheerios? At 1:58 what you're seeing is a neck rope. Not a bridle.
However, I too thought that it was illegal to compete without a bit in hunter+eq classes?

They wrap them around the neck. Usually a stirrup leather is used.

They do have to be somewhat put together, but the horses are generally expected to have self carriage for the most part.
BellaDenny 2 years ago
what the fuck????
im a hunter, and its all about how good you look when you jump and do a flat class.
its all about being in a frame. nothing is timing us like eventing.
