my recommendation on 5th boss, keep 2-3 invisibility potions, use them and Whip the boss until he's dead.. it's the fastest, most effective way I have found of beating that Alien Dinosaur
AWESOME Video AND Video Game indeed! (Uncle) Fester's Quest For The NES Here is without-a-doubt My FAVORITE Video Game of ALL-TIME!!! I Love it and the only way I've ever beat this game is with an NES Game Genie! Incredible stuff! Great work Dear Friend(s)! -Blessings ALWAYS! :-)! <3! XOXO!
@melosebrainuhoh You can if you move to the right of his shield and hit him then move to the left as the boss jumps to avoid the spread shot coming down! Put in Aqualung game reviews and you'll see it on his review of this game.
@melosebrainuhoh I've never used missiles against that boss, I usually spammed the invisible potions & tore him up with the whip while I stood in front of him, or just go all the way left, then all the way right, get level with his gun then shoot the crap out of him until he gets too close, then rinse & repeat
i disagree with AVGN about this game. This game rocks, it almost reminded me of Blaster Master, Another Sunsoft game.
I always thought the way the screen got dark in this and Blaster Master during a boss fight made it seem more epic. Here you are in a room that is now dark, the only thing you can see are you, the boss, and weapons fire.
The NES era will always be my favorite era of games. The sounds the music the gameplay, most modern games cant match it
There were a lot of issues with this game. The mechanic of having random downgrades just heaped in with piles of items was a bad call. The enemies respawned at really bad times, the arc of the guns made corridors impossible to navigate, continuing was pointless. Blaster Master at least solved a lot of those problems and even had the bonus of the vehicle and side scrolling bits.
no he knew it was only the first boss, and he SAID it, but the game is so hard, and he had no time to record commentary on the whole game, so he just finished the first boss. wow, what a run-on.
Artificialraven, you fucking rock, man....I was just thinking, hey, wonder about festers quest, wonder if anyones beaten it and posted a video...and the boss battles were where one really got fucked up...i never made it past the third boss, and the game genie had shit for help on this one....thanks for a truly fullfilling viewing experience!!!!!
Third boss is a cake, but fourth hahaha i could never beat it in my console until i discovered the invincibility potions, but then the game got harder and could just beat it using an emulator and saving every 30 seconds xD
@Artificialraven Yeah, you killed it...Sunsoft games are some of the toughest NES games made. Batman, Blaster Master, Fester's Quest, Journey To Sillious(sp?), etc...
Nah you don't need to show proof. Anyone who has played both games would know that Fester's quest uses the same sounds and the overhead view is a ripoff of Blaster Master.
Wow, even though this game's supposed to be really bad it looks AWESOME! Never thought I'd see Uncle Fester fighting aliens with homing rockets. Also I can't help feeling that I've heard this boss music somewhere else before?
that game was great...the only thing was I could never beat any of the bosses and I got lost all the time. I never even got to stage 2, I was 6 at the time.
I like the music when you fight the bosses and the boss battles. The only 2 things I give this game props for, otherwise I still consider it a shitty game.
Basically I used PsxMC, Photoshop and Windows Movie Maker 2. I also recorded some of the CG Animations from my dragon warrior 7 disc (using PsxMC) and incorporated those into the intro videos.
and 1 more thing, the whip should be maxed out from the level you find (as you saw in this video, it's very useful against Some bosses)

I never was able to beat the 4th boss. :(
Can the final boss not hit you if you stand in that one spot?

it looks like you're dancing with the 2nd boss

How is it even possible to get to the bosses, lol.

The 5th boss reminds me of something like a giant Earthworm Jim that was drowned in corrosive piss. xD

Fester's so badass, he doesn't even have to look at the final boss when he's beating him XP

the first boss is the last one
yeah i know that he is not the last boss but it takes you 2 hours to get to the first boss and thats is insane

did you use a regular controller, or a turbo controller?
GameWolf346 1 year ago
@GameWolf346 Definite turbo controller, just look at the rate the pyramid gun fires. It's inhuman.

i hated the random downgrades that was just BS putting that in a game. Like the Poison Mushroom on the Famicom version of Super Mario 2.
I think sunsoft should pull a capcom and release an 8 bit Blaster Master sequel for the WII PS3 and Xbox Live.

I think that the Fester Quest game is like a perfect stolen copy of the Blaster Master NES: Need proofs? i will make a video about this

Nah you don't need to show proof. Anyone who has played both games would know that Fester's quest uses the same sounds and the overhead view is a ripoff of Blaster Master.

@Artificialraven that is cause they are using the same engine

@djfakt I know. I mentioned "stolen copy" because it is a replica. The top-down, SFX, boss battles and so on. That why i said "Stolen Copy".

whats up with the gun you use? ive never gotten the triangle one? only the orange curvey ones? how did you get it?
schoeneberg 4 years ago
You just have to keep picking up gun powerups, the triangle bullets is it's maximum level.
Artificialraven 4 years ago
what colour is it? all ive seen is the blue green and the pink one?

The trick with the upgrade is: You only collect the blue ones, they upgrade your weapon. Red ones downgrade it.
