I just watched the film for the first time in years and the special effects amazed me i still dont understand how they done some of the stuff in the film!

It's true, that opening sequence played a huge part in the success of the film.

@MrDavidFILM I think ILM may have worked on Avatar (not sure though... they may not have). The primary company that did Avatar's effects was Weta Digital.

@highrollin2 Actually ILM was partially responsible for the visuals in Avatar...So was Stan Winston Studios of the creature design work! But yes, Weta Digital definintly had a finger in Avatar...

if people say starwars sucked and is outdated...... youre idiots, look what they created when they made starwars, the robot cam, the ILM effects and sounds, even look at the final scene in the movie, the graphics on the fighters...starwars created what most movies use nowadays and without it, good luck figuring this shit out yourselves

ILM is the boss here....watch episode III, Pirates of the caribbean saga or Transfomers 1 or 2...the visual are perfectly done.

However, gvi341984 didn't say Star Wars has better effects. He said it has better visuals, which is a much more subjective matter.
