  • Had to go up a size in the "trek" shoes (KSO Trek and Trek LS) because the leather restricts stretching which puts lots of pressure on the toes. These probably aren't the shoe to get for a five finger beginner. However, with one size up and Injinji socks (the thinnest type) they were pretty comfortable.

ALSO, if you have wide feet or "tall feet" you may want the Trek LS instead since they use laces instead of the leather top w/ strap. More control over how tight they get. Just my $0.02

  • How did I get here !

  • we got one today.. took about 5 minutes just to put them on.. lol.. check our video

  • 5 minutes ago I was listening to Skrillex... Now? I dont even know to be honest D:

  • how does your point of view even count you aren't even an athlete

  • can't they be worn with toe-socks?

  • how do you even run with that fat ass?

  • how can i take a review of a running shoe from a fat redhead seriously?

  • @crispycannibal You're reading a shoe review online instead of reviewing it yourself, how can anybody take you seriously.

  • @RitaThePally how am i reading a shoe review? enough words wasted on you, tard.

  • I love my vibram treksports. I use them all the time in the gym and everywhere I go. (Except for I have not used them in the French Quarter seeing the fact that I live in New Orleans.) But yes I have noticed some lightness when I run, and yes some people look at me funny when I wear them. But all in all they are really good shoes.

  • garbage shoes

  • $125? Dude check the price again. It's $85. Cheaper than Crap-ike.

  • I love the fat guy hater! hahahaha

  • 3:06 that is a big tear for being only for a month.

  • pronounced 'veebrum'

  • LMBO at the 3:38 - 3:39 mark! I don't have a pair of Vibrams (I have a pair of the Fila Skeletoes....) but I do get a LOT of attention (especially at the gym...)

  • People walk in bear feet all the time in new zealand so walking in these wouldn't be to different.

  • I bought a pair of KSO's last spring and I love them. Contrary to what I've heard from most people, I found that my stride adjusted itself automatically the first time I went running. It's like my body just knew that I wasn't wearing shoes and I took the first jogging steps on the balls of my feet without any conscious effort. I just tried running in the snow, 5-6", in -3C and I had to cut my run to about 8mins because my toes were freezing.

  • i had to fight with my toes to get them in their today not fun at all!

  • They do make socks to go with these shoes. in fact when I first tried them on at the Running store, they made me put on a pair of their toe-socks to keep them clean.

  • We are based in the United Kingdom and are very proud to sell these shoes on our online store. We try our best to be as helpful as possible and send out your shoes fast. We sell lots of other items too and we are constantly acquiring more products, all in which we think will bring you one more step closer to a healthier lifestyle. wwweverfreecouk

  • I liked him better in Fresh Prince

  • he has a lot of tainted facts in this "review." I am a happy runner using vibrams and most of what he said isn't true.

  • I wear mine with toe socks. Keeps me from having to wash my shoes. However I love these shoes, despite the stares and strange looks.

  • lol...what's up with that toe hater in vid? lol.

  • isnt the point of wearing shoes to protect it from sharp hazardous surfaces?

  • im not paying 100 bucks for socks. ill pass

  • @FLASH2394 that's ridiculous, they're clearly not socks.

  • i know what he means when he says walking in normal shoes feels strange. i have been walking barefoot around on walks and things and now shoes just don't feel as good as going barefoot.

  • they're decent for a jog, but they kinda make your feet smell

  • next invention should be socks with individual toes for the damn shoe. >> honestly its such a simple idea

  • WE ARE NOT APES! Do not be fooled by this attempt to convince us that evolution is true, we aren't apes, and we didn't come from apes. Wear shoes, be more like a human and less like an ape. Trust me.

  • @aemptypage2 lol?

  • @aemptypage2 evolution is real lol ... dumbasses. If you must have some kind of godly vision on the evolution theory think of it this way. Maybe god made the big bang and evolution ? maybe that is how it works for believers. What makes you happy I guess seeing as so much of formerly religious things have been proven wrong do to us being a young civilization in the past.

  • @aemptypage2 you are right, we are not apes. we evolved from something that was a close cousin of the ape.

  • @aemptypage2

Stop this delusion. We did evolve from apes. Can you not see the obvious resemblance we have with them. Its been scientifically proven, it is a FACT. Stop reading the book of bull s**t and learn the truth. If not, stop trying to pull others into your delusional world.

  • @aemptypage2 Huh are you an alien, we wasnt created with trainers on our feet, we where made as HUMANS without shoes.

  • I tried the Merrel Glove shoes hoping it would have all of the benefits of the Five Fingers without the goofy looking toes, I hated them and a friend got a pair for free and she hated them as well, so that was two different models that both were awful. The five fingers are great as far as function, but I can't seem to get over the look of them, lol. Perhaps the fact that my lower back pain goes away when I wear them will eventually win out and I'll snag a pair.

  • @kephrarubin STOP! They will think you are an APE! Don't believe in Evolution it is not true!

  • these are great shoes

  • Expensive at 125? They're 200 here.

  • @Soldier957 its 125 on the website

  • I bought the KSO treks....they're orgasmic. Nuff said.

  • here's what i found after wearing them for a day

they don't actually provide as much flexibility for the toes as they should, because the sole on the toes is connected by a thick inflexible piece of rubber to the rest of the sole. when the toes bend back, they are not allowed to fully extend. the 3 centre toes ended up hurting quite a bit from this pressure, it was like stubbing my toes with every step. this is a huge design flaw, the toes should be entirely separate.

  • Maybe I'm just fashion-insensitive, but I don't see anything wrong with toes :p. I mean, are my toes ugly or something?

  • Too bad I have duck toes.

  • im thinking of buying a 'trial" pair....im doing self defense classes and most of us go barefoot (by preference) this could be a healthy alternative.

  • @gunnerbunny I'd recommend boxing shoes for something like that.

  • thumbs up if you get stared at when wearing them in public =P

  • Did the KSO Treks suffer a tear at the arch section at 3:06 of the video?! So how durable is it?

  • excellent review. gave me all the info i needed!

  • I have to say this is the best review yet. I'm thinking of buying a pair and can totally see how it might trigger other muscles you don't use when wearing traditional shoes

  • @Alshimonguiness

personally, i didn't find that, because i already tend to walk in such a way that minimises impact on my heels.

  • The soles in the trek are different from the others, thats why they dont really have an order after long usage

  • i'm curious about sizing. my feet are 27cm long and 11cm wide. i have serious tendon problems because i can never find shoes that fit.

  • He was better in 'The Pursuit of Happyness'

  • @bairswan That is Willard Christopher Smith, Jr. wrong one.

  • Harvard did a study, so it is scientific fact now

  • KSOs ROCK! I've played football, wrestled and played about every contact sport there is. Now that I'm 29 and have been in the military for ten years, my knees aren't quite what they used to be. I hated running, my knees and hip joints would be sore for the rest of the week after one run. I got these KSOs and immediately felt the difference. My first time my calves were very sore. The good kind of sore. I've had them since last October and I have no complaints. I love these shoes!

  • @Harpooooon

Have you noticed any change in your calve muscles

  • @1titans , Yes. My calves have gotten bigger! They're also more defined now too. I've been running almost three times a week since I got my Vibrams and the calf soreness is completely gone. Did you get your pair yet?

  • @Harpooooon

yep, glad you told me that. want to try something else to build my calves other than weights

  • well the socks you can wear are called Injinji toe socks...you can purchases the at REI

  • I am a long time Vibram wearer...I own the Vibram "Sprints" and the Vibram "KSO Treks" as reviewed in the video blog....

So I am in totally agreement with this except you can wear socks with them...

is one of the places to purchase them. I wear the KSO's during the winter and the sprints during the summer.

These shoes have totally changed my life ... My lower back has had this pressure and just went away with these shoes. After wearing them for a year.

  • @smirknasty

surely you can buy toed socks.

  • not too keen on the burst stitching at 3:07. they had only been worn for 4 weeks and it didn't look like hundreds of rough miles had been put on them in that time.

  • i literally laughed so hard at 3:37 i almost peed my pants! hahahahahhahahah

  • @tomT024 hahahahahahahaha same !!! so ffriggan funny

  • Sweet, a proper review! And this is why the world & its news can't be just "bloggers" there's lots of Vibram five finger revies on youtube but most lack real substance and structure that actually helps me with buying decisions. Thumbs up!

  • I would love to try these out but where i live it's too cold/ rainy, so i couldn't use them much and it sounds like they need constant use to get accustomed to a new way of walking. Great review.

  • @yfrag they got insulated ones to protect from cold weather

  • Thanks Will, been looking at these for a while. I think I will give them a try

  • It's looks comfortable, but it's kinda weird :D But considering I live in country where you can't get NEW Apple iPhone 3Gs, I can't buy this :(

  • I've been thinking of getting these for a while now. thanks, this really helped.
