Well, he looked pretty good considering that he didn't get knocked the fuck out in 5-10 seconds. He actually stayed up for a whole minute. Imagine a 7'3" dude in front of you. If you're an average dude, you're up to his shoulder at most. Now imagine getting kneed in the face by that guy, like Canseco did.

To all the people saying that Canseco looked good, wtf are you guys talking about? He was running all around the ring while the other dude was really cautious and conserving himself. How is an older guy with no experience and no energy going to take on a bigger, younger guy with more experience and hasn't even broke a sweat? You don't go charging in and getting yourself winded if the other guy has a physical advantage and more experience.

Well, he looked pretty good considering that he didn't get knocked the fuck out in 5-10 seconds. He actually stayed up for a whole minute. That may not sound all that impressive, but Jose Canseco is 6'4" and ripped (or juiced, rather) and he looks absolutely tiny compared to that guy. That guy is a freakin' giant! Imagine a 7'3" dude in front of you. If you're an average dude, you're up to his shoulder at most. Now imagine getting kneed in the face by that guy, like Canseco did.

jkerouac02, your point isn't valid. Just because he survived a minute, how does that mean he did a good job? The goal for a mma fight is to win by tap out, ko, ref stoppage, or judge's decision. Just "surviving" is not going to lead to one of those goals, especially if all you're doing is running around and getting yourself tired. Canseco's shouldn't even have accepted the fight, and his manager should have booked him a fight with someone that's more in his league.

choi is weaker now, but he beat semmy schilt (it was a close fight, but not many people have close fights with schilt), and did better against fedor than tim sylvia and a lot of other people. of course choi isn't great, but he's not as bad as you're making him out to be.

Canseco did OK. For one thing the opponent is a professional not to mention over 7ft tall plus you have to remember Canseco is not a fighter and much older. I think he did pretty good considering the odds.

I mean, you can't win EVERY fight, you're bound to lose some so why not get paid 1 mil for it?
I wouldn't be embarrassed either, I mean come on, that guy is the Asian Goliath. Besides people get more respect for fighting someone they know they can't beat rather than cowering away.

sometimes i dont get why fighters who are barely starting, fight guys close or a little lower in weight and skill than them. If they do that, at least they'll build skill, and get stronger for the big dogs...that big tall mothurfuder is humongous....i wouldnt wanna say one bad word to him..(while he's around)
