Ironmasters are the best quality, but they are not the fastest to change weights, I don't care what anybody says, I use them daily and it's a pain in the ass if you constantly change weights. I'm going to get powerblocks pretty soon. These look interesting as well.
@riceboi1983 If you haven't gotten powerblocks already, make sure you strongly take into consideration the fact that powerblocks aren't going to be entirely even in weight. All the newer ones have two 2.5 pound weights in them, but they're on one side, so you have 5 pounds lopsided to one half of each dumbbell. It's not bad at all, but it is a little awkward.
Those Titans look really nice. I had the Powerblock 9.0 dumbells before I heard about these, but this looks really innovative. Someone here said the Ironmasters are the best, but I wouldn't like to have to change each side like that. With the Powerblocks and the Titan, you don't even have to worry about individual plates. I don't want to endorse another product when somebody took the time to upload this vid, but I have to say I'm happy with the Powerblocks. They're still the best.
@cydoniaquest if you don't mind me asking (i'm in the market for adjustable dumbbells), what is it exactly that you like about the powerblocks that the titan system doesn't offer? titan has more weight, easier to select, same blocky design, faster selection system, less awkward... i'm just wondering what's better about powerblocks... the pretty colours? haha please let me know.
now i'm thinking what to buy. Powerblock or Titan? this one is so easy. Just turn the dial and lift. however, Powerblock is much flexible. It has the 2.5 metal cylinders. 2 cylinders on each dumbbells.
@arjay2002ph i'm wondering the same thing. the flexibility to go up in 2.5 lb increments is nice, but the more i think about it, if i plan on doing quick sets i'd have to take pin out of current weight, take out plastic handle and insert/remove cylinders then reselect desired weight. i'd probably just want to make the jump of 5 lbs. its quicker and hopefully the added effort will shred me up more! lol
I wonder how big they are? With any adjustable dumbbell the price always comes as a shock but if you were to buy each dumbbell separately they cost way more, and they would take up a lot more room.
I like the quick style of them, but I don't like how they compared the 45lb set of PB with theirs, when their is a set that goes up to 55 seeming more comparable, but cost less. if you get any of the new urethane models from PB they come with life time warranty and also made changes to selector pin.
Very nice but the Power Blocks are the best value overall. PB go up to 120 pounds with the add on. The Bowflex dumbbells are the worst P.O.S ever. I do like the TITIANS they just dont go high enouf.
Many people are complaining about the price of the Titans. I figure it this way: $700 = 100 for shipping + $150 for the stand + $450 for the 65lb dumbbells.I can change weights in a few seconds and they stay put. No worry about a pin slipping or bending the slide pin that goes in the side like PB's. Life time guarantee. Made and built 100% in USA. That's really not that much money for a product that will last a lifetime. I would like an option for a 90lb set which I think is coming soon.
@jevari yeah thats what was holding me back, but they reduced the price for 2010 and it includes free shipping. hoping to order mine in about two weeks. go tax refunds!

dinomodean, can you say home use and balanced with storage efficiency?

why not buy a normal pair of dumbbells which you load weight on to? this is just a lazy mans alternative

Try IronMasters they are simply the best! No bars that prevent movement no restrictions what so ever.

@DoctorS8n judging by people's extremely positive reaction to the powerblocks, that doesn't seem to be a problem though. is it?
