Sure, I'm drinking a homemade iced skinny vanilla latte (double shot of espresso, 1% milk, and sugar free vanilla syrup) w/ added unflavored protein powder.

Nice update, I used to look for vids of ppl who just had surgery, now I look for ppl who maintain. I am only 9 mths post op but I am trying to understand a little better how to maintain. I always worry that the "food addict" in me will take over again. I am starting a food journal Monday to help with accountability. Txs for posting.~ Shawna

Hey Shawna. Maintenance still scares me. I started journaling my food around 4 months out, I learned soo much about myself and what kinds of foods to eat from it. I gave it up around 14 months because it become an unhealthy obession, the journal. Also, because of the journaling I can pretty much tell you how many calories and in just about everything I eat and I can keep track of it on my own, through out the day. The food addict is still inside.... out of space continued below.

I just try to do my best every day to not let the addiction win. Sometimes it does, but the difference is now. I don't go into a shame spiral and eat everything. I just forgive myself and move on. By making my next meal a healthy and balanced meal I feel like I am in control, not my addiction. I hope I don't sound as crazy as I'm feeling right now. And that this is helpful. take care - jenn

I weighed 124.8 this last week (did you sub to my new channel? had to switch it)... I am 5'3.5" so it's still an ok weight for me but I'm not sure as I think my face might look too thin. ttys...Shannon

If I stay in the high 120's I'm cool with it, but if I go back to the low 130's I'm fine too. My body has a preset limit that I should listen to. I just want to look in the mirror and like the face I see. I don't want to look at my face and think I look sick. So, if you're happy then stay there. Hey Ann. It's good to be seen. :) Thank you so much! Some days I'm not hungry at all and others I am starving and could eat small amounts all day long. But I was probably about 4 months out the first time I remember feeling hunger. 16 months seems pretty far to not feel it, but everyone is different. take care - jenn

Wow- That was a lot of snow, but nothing to up here in NY. I love your family's stockings - so cute!

I have a question regarding the hernia's- how did you know you had them? I am pre-op and probably have one. I say that because every now and again I get a weird twinge if I move wrong. I wonder if the surgeon will check that before surgery? Anyway- super great to see you again and keep up the great work!

No, it isn't anything like what one would get in NY. And for that I am grateful. I biggest problem isn't the snow it is the ice. It will cause power outages for days if lines are brought down my trees to weak to hold the weight of the ice.

No I don't remember having any issues as far as hernia before the surgery. I could have and not known, though. I would def talk to your surgeon about your concern see if he/she can check it out for you. Thanks for watching. take care - jenn

I'm sorry - I didn't check the other videos to see yet if you already said something about it - I do remember you having one before though. They are and aren't related to WLS. Other than the one internal hernia I had (also known as a Peterson's Hernia) I could have gotten the hernias anyway. But I am really hoping this time they are gone for good. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and best of luck on your journey. take care - jenn
