@blabbit321 ah sorry there is not anymore because they took put the copyright thing on my video and then followed to my download link and disabled it, so i put up any more songs they'll remove it right away and suspend me
Everything in Bongo Band's track is connected to Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash & The Furios Five, but most of all to Weststreet Mob and the song "Breakdance Electric Boogie"
Typical of (so called)'' Hip Hop'' to take another form of music and then give it ANOTHER name. Take Jazz (or whatever) and then called it Hip Hop, take Rock and then call it Hip Hop... Rip-off music. Sample a bit from another form of music and then call that ''little bit'' Hip-Hop, but then when someone samples a current Hip-Hop track and makes it into something else, oh it's still Hip-Hop (they say) it's not a different form of music, they don't accept that, do they. Hypocritp music.
This record came out in 1973 with no airplay, when breakdancing came out in New York City in 1977 this song was a hit! and became an anthem in NYC and Hip-Hop itself.
Jim Gordon was the drummer. He was THE top session guy in LA and played with Clapton in Derek and the Dominos. In fact, he even wrote the piano section at the end of Layla. His other famous contributions were the drums on 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number' by Steely Dan. He even played drums on 'Good Vibrations' by the Beach Boys. Unfortunately, he was also schizophrenic and end up killing his mother in 1984. He is still incarcerated.
Why did breakdance leave me T_T... oh wait, I left breakdance. Otherwise, the groove never dies in the heart of one who jumped in that wave. Music is like the blood flowing trough your veins. When it comes from you, it follows your heartbeat. I love breakdancing for one reason: Even though there's competition, everybody follows the same beat. In the end, they all meet up at the same point. I really miss breakdancing. This song makes me nostalgic. Oh hell with it ! *Starts doing top rocks.*
what a shame a very talented drummer he played with the everly brothers when he was only 17 years old i believe... as well as derek and the dominos and on many other tracks as a session drummer what a waste
@m1vgp21 Don't quote me on this but I heard a rumour that the drummer from Derrick and the Dominoes killed his mum... great drummer - serious mental health problems!!!
@m1vgp21 - Yep Jimmy Gordon, the murderous schizophrenic session drummer who took out his mother with a hammer in 1983 and is still behind bars! Shame realy...lol
In the 80's back in New York , D.J. Mechanic used to mix this song to hell and I used to eat the "break" part for breakfast. Art of Noise's "Beat Box" and "Close To The Edit" were among my favorites and "Looking For The Perfect Beat" . I used 2 rip it. Those were the days !
DJ's had had to work wit what they had back then. Most samples go unrecognized these days cuz they just don't know. Not even listed in tha credits like they used to be. They're hidden...
@shelfpup Why you gotta be an ass, he never said it started on Jump On It, he was just saying it was on it, You sir are the "stupid shit". You fucking dumb ass.
Why is everyone name checking a million different rap, funk, soul, bboy bands (Melle Mel, Busy Bee, Kool Moe Dee, Afrika Bambaataa, ROCK STEADY CREW, Crazy Legs, Freeze to Please, Ken Swift, Grandmaster Flash, Cold Crush Crew, Beastie Boys, Sugar Hill Gang, Big Bank Hank, Kurtis Blow, LL Cool J, RUN DMC, Public Ememy, Sly Stone, The JBs...) that have covered this and keep saying how amazing this song is without mentioning that it is itself a cover a Shadows song from 1960?
holy SHIT you ignorant fucking idiot, I was pointing out that Jump On It sampled the melody from this track, but no one caught on yet. Clearly you're the "stupid shit", you ignorant fuck.
@feltymcsqueeb hahaha teenagers...and then they ask why they re not given more freedom! if you had the freedom you would get so angry over some stupid shit a stranger said you would pop all your zits at one time coz of the pressure building up in your thick skulls!
