I have noticed the similiarities in these demonstrations against the laws that allow the rich to go untaxed, and the demonstrations in Egypt, Lybia, Syria and all those other countries whose governments have just fallen to the common people. It was conducted by random people who were held back by members of Occupy Oakland. If you are talking about the shootings, those were confirmed to be gang related, not Occupation related. Regardless, the Movement will not connect itself with violent actions as it is a peaceful protest by definition. Those who are violent are not ours.
@1zalex1 Ok, I will agree partially with you. The Occupy movement has been rather peaceful when compared to other, similar, movement. However I never said that the mobs are occupiers, at least not completely. Some are just taking advantage of the general atmosphere to let their destructive impulses loose, some use the chaos as a smokescreen to do what they want, and Some are just as passionate about the movement as everyone else. It is a confusing scenario and the cops are doing their best.

However I also have no respect for the protestors who are blocking roads, living on public space for days on end, and otherwise doing things that they would be arrested for anyways while saying "they have done nothing wrong". Stay well, brothers and sisters. They may try to take us from our homes, but our homes are in the Occupation, not in the parks. Also know not to be discouraged. There are communities in which the police are cooperative thus far. Even if the Occupation were to dissipate in NYC (unlikely), there are people remaining to fight. I for one will fight to the death, because if corporations are people, then surely they are mortal.

To even compare the two shows a sickening amount of ignorance. The police at wall street are trying to protect EVERYONE. Wall street, the protestors, and themselves. It was conducted by random people who were held back by members of Occupy Oakland. If you are talking about the shootings, those were confirmed to be gang related, not Occupation related. Regardless, the Movement will not connect itself with violent actions as it is a peaceful protest by definition. Those who are violent are not ours.

However I never said that the mobs are occupiers, at least not completely. Some are just taking advantage of the general atmosphere to let their destructive impulses loose, some use the chaos as a smokescreen to do what they want, and Some are just as passionate about the movement as everyone else. It is a confusing scenario and the cops are doing their best.

However I also have no respect for the protestors who are blocking roads, living on public space for days on end, and otherwise doing things that they would be arrested for anyways while saying "they have done nothing wrong". They should be removed and a lot of the "violence" is the the police doing just that, it just ends up looking far worse than it really is.

OWS is causing huge expenditures from local budgets - these budget for the most part must balance - so cuts will occur directly in teachers, fireman and police from OWS protests.
