Interesting story behind this. Some Ethiopian idiots read in the in-flight magazine that the plane had the range to get to Australia, so after hi-jacking it they demanded the pilot flew to Australia, and didn't listen to his reasoning that the plane wasn't fully fueled and so couldn't make it. He stuck close to land hoping to be able to land it safely when the fuel ran out, but then was attacked by the hijackers when they saw. Pilot done his best.
