  • idk how to do the strumming :c

  • I don't play guitar, so i had to 'borrow' my brother's Eguitar. Sounds funny :D

  • she definitely lost weight

  • @ronnieboy63 how?

  • definitely my favorite song of hers!! =)

  • Easiest song to play, but best song ever

  • I can proudly say that this is the first song I really managed to play on guitar when i started it. Thanks kina.

  • ahaha can you please slow it down? whats the strumming (like ddduuu) and the chords? i love your songs and strong enough is my fave and i really wanna learn it on guitar thanks!! :D

  • OMG! YOU ARE SUPER DIFFERENT NOW! FAME CHANGE! THAT'S A FACT, BUT IN A BETTER WAY IN YOUR CASE. I REALLY WANNA TO MEET YOU TO SAY JUST: HELLO BEAUTIFUL!

  • Thank kina, :) <<3

  • Thanks pelase ignore ronnieboy63 (by the way ronnieboy63 you should kill youself) Kina I love your vídeos thanks God bless

  • personally i think its easier to use your thumb for the e string on the weird 300230 chord

  • @ronnieboy63 Already her day job douche. Kina and the large ammount of awesome people who disagree with you made that happen.

  • Down down down, up up, down down, down up? :o Is that it?

  • this is easy.....very....

    not lol

  • i'm confused with the strumming pattern , is down, down, down, down, up, down, up, down, down ? whaaaaat ?

  • @XxCuutesityxX It may be easier to get the stumming if you listen to the song rather than watch the tutorial. I find that trying to analyze the strumming gives me a headache. It's easier to just feel it! Happy guitar playing! =)

  • the song and the singing are great

just one thing if the kapo is in the 3rd fret the 1st chord is going to be G minor though i got your point that its in the same fingers place for E min if there was no kapo ,,

  • A mí me gusta mucho esta cancion es la mejor. Gracias pa esta video como se puede tocarlo en la guitarra. Ya sé cómo. :) besos

  • heyy! i am a beginner tothe guitar, can you please tell me the strumming patterns please? I'd really appreciate it!

  • love you lots kina <3

    down and gone tutorial please?

  • Love how you shake your head when you're singing: "I'm not blind to what you're doing here" ^^

Great tutorial, was very helpful for me. :)

  • The fourth chord is Dadd9

  • Wow!...

This is my Fav Song eveeeeeeer! >.<

    I love her songs! :3

Keep being like a GREAT SINGER <3

    ^^

  • I think that chord is Dadd2 :) though I'm not sure... Thanks :)

  • i know how to play the chords, but my guitar doesnt sound like yours does... i need to find the tuner for it. but thanks kina :)

  • i still dont get the strumming pattern. ): when i play it my friends think its love the way you lie cause i used the wrong strumming pattern. D:

  • haha you're so funny. :P I love this song

  • Show off. JK. instrument+ voice= awesome

  • the fourth chord is d/f

  • ugh! i dont

    have a capo

  • Holy crap, I could just look at you all day, gorgeous and talented

  • "But if you listen closely now, I've been singing all alone"

    i love this line ^^

    :)

  • i wanna met you so i can learn face to face! hehe good job!

  • i love your voice!!!

  • Hey Kina! Just bought Stairwells and it's such a great album! Strong Enough is one of my faves and I just came across your tutorial. Thanks so much for posting it! :)

  • hi kina, thanks for the tutorial. i just posted my response. hope u enjoy my effort at covering your song!

  • one of the first songs i learnt, still one of my faves to play! now i play about 20 kina songs hahaa i love them

  • u seem to panic when u play..but ur cute. :)

  • I love that you take the time for your fans to make tutorials You're amazing and you deserve to make it big. :)

  • Thank you! Could you do a tutorial on Delicate or Breath Honesty? At least could you give some chords? Please!!!!! Please Kina!!!! ^_^

  • You're hot!!!

  • Wonderful guitar and wonderful tutorial. Thanks !!

  • you should post the lyrics of all your originals right under the original video's =)

  • could you have a tutorial on cambridge?? its my favorite song on your new album!! :)))

  • is this song going to be on Stairwells?

  • that wierd chord is called Dsus4 ,, but can i only use d?????..tnks@!!! :)

  • The weird Chord is actually *Dsus4/F#*. The *F#* is just there to tell you about the added bass note (the 2nd fret on the lowest string). You can get rid of the bass note if you want, but since your pinkie finger should already be on the 2nd fret of the high e-string, it's easiest (and more accurate) to keep it on there. In other terms, try to make it just a *Dsus4* rather than *Dsus4/F#*

  • this is great, i like that you explain chords that way aswell because i never remember names and always ask people to describe it like that haha. i still have such difficulty picking up strumming though... thank you for this (:

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • yay! I just noticed you had a tutorial on it.

  • please do a tutorial on never never and stay just a litttle plleeaaassseee and when is your next albulm coming out? cant wait for it :) please put stay just a little and message from the heart on it please love you music :)

  • You inspire me. Love 2 meet u some day..

  • love the vid, love the music, love the guitar, and love you. But not in that order.lol

    thank you.

  • I think you're really cute. Even more because you're musically inclined. Can we talk some time??

  • I really enjoyed learning but I was wondering if you could teach camebridge.that is my favorite song.

  • Great! Just what I was looking for, Kina. Of course, this was after wracking the brains in my guitar fingers trying to follow your original video - which is capo'd at the 5th fret. I was doing what you were doing but wasn't getting the same sound. So, were you playing with some alternate tuning in the vid - or, what? Stumped in New Orleans.

  • this chick is ridic... AWESOME

  • can you play it without capo?

    ps. you're great!

  • No, it's not enough

Won't touch your hand and call it love

Since I can't hold it tight tonight

    Guess I'm not strong enough.

    ._.

  • last chord has all the notes of Fmaj but with a sharpened root these would be F#-sharpened 1st A- minor third D-minor sixth soo im not sure of the exact name but that's an easy way to look at it

  • Actually, it's Dadd9. It's not the standard way of playing it, but 'tis Dadd9 nonetheless.

  • what does it mean when she says E minor open AHHH I DONT GET IT!!!

    make a video for begginers

  • she means the strings, which ones you leave open, etc.

  • could u please post a video with the instrumental only? thank you ^-^

  • i dont know about other people.. but for the verse im playing

down down DOWN down up up down

    (next chord) down down

    is that right?

  • das lied ist so traurig

  • danke das du mich bei myspace angenommen hast

  • what chord is that?

  • I strum it like this -> up down up down down, and it sounds fine.

  • could you put the strumming pattern in the description box. just put like down down up down up up. or whatever it is. because i can't figure it out for my life.

  • yeahh its kinda tricky if you are a beginner. I had a hard time too but now i m used to it. here is one I gured and hopefully this helps :P

down down down down up down up down down down up

(repeat) it may sound weird at first, but if you get used to it and control how strong you strum those strings, youll get it. enjoy :)

  • i´M LEARNIN´ this should be my first real song, not just melody, i learn!!! I love this song!!!

  • does anyone know how to strum her style? I know the strumming pattern, but there's that little kick to the way she plays which makes it sound really cool, and i'd love to know how she does it.

  • WHATS THE STRUMMING PATTERN.

    i'm so confused.

down up up down down up down.

    HELP ME!!!!!

  • i think D with your thumb on the low E sounds better than that wierd chord...thats the way i played it but if it sounds wierd that way let me kno

  • You sound like carrie underwood! AMAZING!

  • im learning guitar at the mo but im jus hoping im good...i think im ok lol some people jus hav natural talent...im not so sure i do :L

  • i feel like that too.

  • waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa the strumming.

  • if my life depended on me figuring out this strumming pattern, i would die.... help DX

  • the way i do it is like every other note for the chorus(Em,G) you do 1/2 (x2) ( so like just the first 3 strings) and then Down and for C and the step down on G you do 12345 ( d,u,d,u,d) So all together its (Em) 1/2 1/2 down (c)12345 (G)1/2 1/2 Down (step down on G) 12345 if that makes any sence if not than sorry but i tried!

  • ok, that kind of made sense, i dont hav my guitar with me right now, but when i do ill try it. so the 12345 is the dudud, and then wut do u mean by step down on G?

  • thumbs up very nice:)

  • hi, please you could send me the letter to learn this song? thank you so much!

  • thanks so much! LOVE YOU! <3

  • How does she let the guitar playing sound so matted sometimes?

  • its called muting. you have to put the side of your hand on the part of the strings right before it goes into the bridge and strum while having your hand there. and then you move your hand so it makes the muted sound while letting it ringing. it'll take time so don't get frustrated if you don't get it. hope that helped

  • Ok thanks! haha it surely doesn't sound how it is supposed to sound yet, but I am trying :P

  • The strumming's always the same in this song, i think it's down down down down-up up down down down-up... and so on :). That's how I play it :)

  • i wish i were you.. hmm... <3

  • omg ok, I think I got (thanks to my sister)...

down, down, down up, down, up, down, up

so it's 8 beats in all

Let me know if you think that is correct!

  • Comment removed

  • =D can you break down the strumming pattern.. im freaking out at how fast it is. i cant get it

  • I cannot get the strumming, but still a great song

  • Reminds me of the Eagle Eyed Cherry's song "save tonight" :)

  • looks to me like a Dsus2/F# except that it's capoed

  • I'm finally learning guitar this summer (at 20, blah!) and once I don't feel like a goof, I'll learn this.

    love it!

  • wow youe sexy

  • this is a good tutorial but this song is really hard lol its probably cause im a beginner

  • i reaaaalllllllyyyy like your shirrtttttt.

    =)

    hahahah.

    sorry!

  • I really like the lyrics in this song and your voice is beautiful! I wish you the best of luck in your career!

God bless and keep you safe

  • i'm seriously considering singing this for my school's talent show next year. thanks kina!

  • Awesome. now i really wanna do it at my school too :D

  • i think im gonna do it for my school talent show to :P

    lol

  • sorry think its add9 not sus cos the third is in the bass

  • Make me believe tutorial should be nexxxxxxxt!

  • i love all your songs.

could you do a tuturial for the valentine song please?

oh and for the song make me.

    take care.

  • valentine is really easy ^^ just basics

    capo 2nd fret

    G-D-Em-C

thats it throught out the song

  • okay actually, nvm. i jumped the gun too quickly and it's something else. like... Dsus/F# but it's actually not because you're not playing one of the notes lol

  • pretty sure its a Dsus9 shape just up two frets due to the capo so Esus9 sound

  • haha, i'm not sure if someone said this yet, and i'm sure someone has, but that last chord is called D/F#

    :]

  • it must be such a good feeln to be so good that people want to cover you ......

  • nice nails, you do them yourself?

  • Ok so ive just looked through all 299 comments looking for a strumming pattern, cause im retarded at seeing them =\ so i think its DOWN DOWN DOWN UP UP DOWN...

correct me if im wrong. ! =] <3

  • im pretty sure your right cause thats how i play it. now you have to have some sense of beat and itil sound jusk like kina

  • can you tutorial your song valentine next

  • i don't have a capo so i just use a pen and a rubber band

  • my favorite kinda grannis song. thanks bunches kina, you rock!

  • So I was about to learn this song, and realized I lost my capo. I'm really sad, I'm not about to go pay 20 bucks for another one.

  • use string LOLOL

  • It's a 'capo,' or 'clamp.'

Changes the tune of the guitar.

    Higher.. Lower.. etc.. : )

  • what do you tune your guitar with? cause I tried so sing along with you with my guitar but of course they didn't sound the same :))). I use an online guitar tuner...

by the way, you're my favorite artist on youtube!

  • What's that thing on the 2nd fret on the neck of the guitar? I never knew what that does..

    Great song though!

  • That's a capo. It enables you to play in a higher key.

  • its called a capo, it holds all the strings down so it can raise the octave.

  • Oh, thanks!

  • i can do the chords but I cant get the strum pattern :( :( :(!

  • thanks for the tutorial :)

will be getting my new guitar in 3days time, just couldnt wait and maybe do you covers!

    -hayqal

  • I Think that weird cords a dsus2 with a F# base but you have a capo so move it up i think its E/G???you've got it though hope you get somewhere with it...

  • damn..when does your album come out, i am all over it. if you dont become a star something is wrong with the world

  • The strumming pattern reminds me of Wonderwall. The "weird chord" is a simple Dsus2/F#, meaning it's a Dsus2 chord with a F# as the bass note. Great songwriting and singing. Your now officially my favourite female singer, besides Sarah Bettens, but i'm sure you'll agree with that choice. :D

  • when I started playing this I was thinking of wonderwall all the time !

    it's such a great song (:

  • It's the best song Oasis ever wrote. Maybe someone with a guitar, capo and a beautifull voice could cover it...but where on Youtube can you find someone like that?:P

  • I can't see the rithm. Can you tell me which is? I think is down, down, down, up, up, down... But I'm not sure... Can you tell me which is?

  • hey Kina, could u plz explain wat u mean by a step down on G? thanx that would help a lot!!

    u have unbelievable talent.

    3mi1y

  • you move your index finger down from the third fret on the 6th string to the 2nd fret on the 6th string =)

  • LOL, you remind me of myself!

  • You are cute :)

  • AHHHH I LOVE THE CARTOON OF HER!!!!!!!1 so cool thanks kina!! you are uniquely brilliant and talented!!!

  • kina =) awsomeness

  • runaway grape haha oh kina

  • the "weird chord" is called D/F# its like a d5 chord with F# in the bass.... by the way nice tutorial :)

  • but in the bridge...after the G with the little step down, the second time, before C there is another chord

    does anyone know?

great tutorial, i love the song :)

  • it looks like Em to me but im not sure

  • SO COOL/GOOD!!!!!!!!

  • nice voice

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the weird chord is called a D9 over F# (D9/F#)

    love your music!

  • i think the chord is called like D/F#9 or something. i'll post again when i'm sure.

  • i dont have that clip that covers the fret (is that even called a clip, lolz) so th music isnt coming out right. is it necessary to buy one? :)

  • it´s called a capodaster and i would recommend that you buy one. if you decide to buy one get a shubb

  • Cool guitar!Is that a Gibson?It sounds fantastic!Keep jammin' girl.

  • When I started to rate this video I remembered the scene in "My Cousin Vinny"..

Vinny: Mr. Wilbur, how'd you like Ms. Vito's testimony?

    George Wilbur: Very impressive.

    Vinny: She's cute too, huh?

    George Wilbur: Yes, very.

    [laughter]

    Judge Haller: Mr. Gambini...

    Vinny: Sorry, Your Honor.

  • I can't figure out the strumming pattern.. and when I do i keep forgetting it .. :p

it's drivin' me crrrraaazy! I usually don't have any problems with that!

  • hey great tutorial iv got it..i was just wondering is the strumming pattern down, down, down, down,up,up,down,up ?

thanxs..oh and btw that song is amazing!

  • ok so today I saw the whole video (first time I couldnt kinda busy) anyways I am from Ecuador and I'd love to have one of ur cd's so pls let me now how can I pay where can I get it etc etc :)

  • Ok, I found your video by mistake 'cause I was looking for Strong enough by sheryl crow !! But what a mistake !! I'm impressed, I love your song, and you play the guitar very well, in fact, I wish I could play like you, so freely... You are very talented and have also a beautiful voice. I wish you good luck for you career.
