I wish I could've seen it! Dang it why doesn't Universal Studios or Disneyworld host it? Anyway, as soon as the Doctor goes off the screen with "Don't . . . blink." I would first soil myself then start chanting "Geronimo" in rapid succession like a prayer. When the police show up and I finally turn back to the screen. I would scream, or freak out. I know myself well enough and I ain't to proud to admitmitmehen I feel scared.

You may be able to counter the Weeping Angel in many ways people have listed, but thats not the point. The point is you won't always have a pickaxe with you or a mirror or dynamite. And even then with a mirror or pickaxe or dynamite, who is to say there aren't any behind you...

You can't kill a stone? Solution? Equipment? Lights, Camera's, Video Monitor's. Set up the equipment in a circle around where the encounter will occur, so that the lights light up the encounter zone, and anything within the circle will be caught on video and no matter where they look they will see a monitor. Any Angel trapped in this circle will see itself and/or it's buddies no matter where it looks. Closed Circuit trap.

@QuirkyGirl12345 I agree that Blink had surprise on it's side, but I still think Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone was scarier because we knew what they were capable of. I know you think this makes it less scary, but I think it makes it scarier, because in Blink I was just like, "Wow, statues, big whoop" but in Time of Angels I was like, "OH MY FUCKING GOD THEY'RE BAACKKKK T~T" and hid behind my couch.

Plus the circumstances in which they were in made it really suspenseful, plus the forest, Amy'

I reckon Blink was a scarier ep to be honest because we didn't know about them before hand and the face suddenly appearing kept me up for a week after wards. Also I think David brought a huge amount to the suspense and spookiness, less to the... "uh oh" factor.

Now we all know what angels look like and just go "... oh it moved..." instead of "OH MY FUCKING GOD!!!" because we were expecting it. Sad that such a dramatic character can't really be exploited more, but expected.

Just my opinion.

SOLUTIONS:

1) "Mirror Hack" : set up mirrors in front of all the statues so they can't unfreeze, lest they look at themselves and refreeze

2) Alternate eye winking in rapid succession. Left, right, repeat.

3) "You can't kill a stone." So... obtain submachine gun (preferably kiparis w/ rapid fire attachment and sleight of hand pro), get an idea of where the statues are, and as soon as you turn your back, unload like fifty rounds behind you, killing the "statue" as soon as it unfreezes.

1) An image of an Angel becomes an Angel. So doing so will just create more.

2) This will keep you around but it won't kill it. That is hoping that you don't screw up and blink.

3) Angles regenerate. Watch the episode Flesh and Stone. The Doctor and Soldiers are trapped in a tunnel with several Angels. As they turn off the lights (a strobe effect really), they fire on the Angels as they are moving towards the soldiers, which does nothing because the Angels regenerate.

- The Angels on Earth in Blink were scavengers; barley surviving, that is why when they looked at each other they freeze but not in Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone.

- Yeah number 2 would work.

- The Angels regenerate themselves using a power source no matter how deformed or mutilated they become as shown in Time of Angels.

- Also as you see in Flesh and Stone the Bishops' weapons are useless against the Angels.

SOLUTIONS, PART 2:

4) "Reverse Pack-a-punch" : Attract a large number of statues to your exact location. When they're all swarmed around you, spin in circles (set your sensitivity to 10) and look at them all as you spin. Then slowly, whilst spinning, back away and out of the mob of statues so that if they try unfreezing, chances are, most or all of them will be looking at one another.

5) Obtain laptop. If all else fails... search "roshi staring at camera" and

loop from 6 to 11 seconds

I WAS gonna see this Live up at the SECC in Glasgow. I was so desperate to go, but when I called up about my ticket, I was told that they'd just sold the last one out like, one min before I called... My friend ended up winning a ticket in a radio show competition. She said if she'd had 2 she would've taken me with her, but they only gave her 1... I wish I could've seen this. It looked awesome! =(

apart from seeing one of the girls in an angel suit move her arm the first time the screen flashes white, this is really well done! i was sooo scared the first time i saw blink, and so disapointed that the series 5 weeping angel episodes weren't scary at all. But this reboots my confidence in Moffat for his weeping angel scrpit writing, this is pretty scary :D althought what about the poor little kids in the arena when the screen flashed and the angel on the screen became all fanged

I am pretty sure you will like it if you're a Doctor fan of any age.

It's probably the only "event" that I have been to as well where 2/3 people were under 17 and it didn't annoy me but only added to the experience.

(the 5 year old dressed as Matt Smith had me in stitches, as did the 4 year old trying to blast the monsters with his sonic screwdriver!)

But Catherine Tate did look good, and she was so sweet and spent about 20 minutes after the break giving autographs too people - the guards had to try and keep people away so that the show could start :D
