  • Amazing!

  • It does have some homosexual and pedophilia contents, and there is also some terrifyingly gruesome scenes. But I honestly think this is one of the best vampire books ever written, and Hakan might be the most terrifying vampire ever created.

  • @Celly222 Read the fucking book!.... It's not weird. It's probably the best horror literature to come out in ages. John Lindqvist is a exceptional writer. In the first couple of pages he describes The Creation of Adam, it’s probably one of the most beautiful passages I have ever read.

  • You know my biggest problem with the Twilight series, other than it being terribly vapid and written like one of those "create your own adventure books" for women, there are no real threats for the characters to have to struggle through. They have no real weakness, no real enemies, they can walk in the daylight. Where are the human villains?

  • Am I the only one who thought this was meh

  • Sweden is not a strange land actually. It is a nice, normal and democratic land. People think that this film is weird (and a bit good), even in Sweden! :)

  • Eli is a BOY. not a girl. and in the book, it's pronounced "E-lie"

  • All without a god damn vampire, sparkling in the god damn sunlight.

    Epic.

  • best review ever, definate sub

  • Ok you under age lings, let me state again, TWILIGHT IS STILL CRAP out of a donkeys ass, however this flick sucks just as hard, and both movies are emotional teeny boppers. This flick is slow as hell, and just not interesting. Whats worse is the "twist" that tries to make this movie special. Uwe boll could have directed this and I cant tell the difference. Twilight=LTROI imo

  • @chorizo1337 You should stop taking acid, it aint for everyone. LTROI is a devious flick, with one of the best endings in a long time (and I am not talking about the swimmingpool horror scene, but the "oh I just replaced that pedo as the slave of the vampire"). Failure to see the sweetness in this is only your problem.

  • "I hate dragged out flicks imo. Just terrible as crap"

and thats whats wrong with the american audience these days, most of you aka the ignorant masses just dont have the attention span/patience to slow down and try to understand and enjoy something like this, if it does not have explosions, fighting or nudity you idiots cant give a flying fuck. no wonder you all have a preference for garbage.

  • This looks better than let me in

  • @mbsfaridi

Because it is. Actually, if you've seen LMI and thought it was slow and uneventful, then LTROI might no be to your liking.

  • @TickleMeElmo55

Acually no i liked let me in and didn't find it slow and i've watched let the right one in and liked it cause it had some more content than LMI but there were some things which were better in LMI than LTROI.

  • @mbsfaridi things such as...?

  • @dzikigrzechotnik

Things like when he goes in Abby's apartment and he see's a picture of the old man with her

  • @mbsfaridi Which only pushes the interpretation of her being manipulative and evil down our throats. In the original - maybe she is, maybe she isn't, and maybe she is both, which makes her character so much more complex and real. You are shown what it could really mean to be a vampire and you can relate to her, in the remake you mostly get a paper monster exactly because of scenes like the one you mentioned.

  • Overrated crappy b movie. Stop obsessing over this

Movie you tools. Hell twilight was more enjoyable than this crap

  • @chorizo1337 twilight....... BWAHAHAHA, even though u might consider this a B movie its hella better than twilight ever could be, lets take a quick comparison, twilight scored a 5.5, LTROI got 8.1. your precious fucking twilight failed. my preference in vampire movies tends to be blade, underworld; hell buffy the vampire even. let the right one in has heart.... twilight has nothing but fangirl fanservice.

  • @metalraider187 wow you kiddy weaboo, I thought twilight was crap, I am just saying this indie foreign overrated dumb crap was worse, which is pretty pathetic. I hate dragged out flicks imo. Just terrible as crap

  • @chorizo1337 an indie movie got better reviews than a full production movie, i've heard enough about twilight to know its just a wannabe vampire movie made for fangirls.

"I am just saying this indie foreign overrated dumb crap was worse, which is pretty pathetic. I hate dragged out flicks imo"

first off you resorting to calling it "dumbcrap" shows your lack of brainpower, can you expand on exactly why you did not like it. if its your opinion fine, but facts are facts.

  • @chorizo1337 and i guess guillermo del torro must be full of crap, i mean what could he possibly know about movies to give it any kind of praise. same goes for the washington examiner and the star tribune, their a bunch of idiots they dont know shit about movies.... i mean clearly "Magnet" entertainment must have given huge fucking pay offs to these people/organizations for the positive reviews right?

  • @metalraider187 no guillermo is amazing, however ltr one in is just overrated indie foregin crap that people need to worship to feel original for once

  • @chorizo1337 at least guillermo dosent say anything about the movie being overated, or crappy.

  • @chorizo1337 im just getting started btw, go suck on a chorizo while you wait......

  • @chorizo1337 did you just say twilight is better than let the right one in ? wow . Let me in and let the right one in kill twilight. Twilight is about fairies that sparkle and dogs. This movie is about emotion and vampire's. Lol get outta here with that

  • @ironwez20 I said I actually enjoyed watching it more, and twilight is a piece of crap. that says something about this movie. This movie is just an overlydone relationship, just like twilight, except twilight seems to have somewhat of more movement/action, and picks up faster. But yeah both these flicks are crappy emotional teeny movies anyways

  • @chorizo1337 ltroi is far from teeny bopper my firend, Its gory, its violent and it has a strong story. How can you say twilight has a movement when its so poorly done. Twilight doesnt have no ground or emotion. Thier's nothing deep about the character's . if you want a teen flick than twilight is for you but let me in is more of a horror romance. But hey if you dont like the movie's thats cool but dont troll around and say twilight is even alittle better when it's not

  • Let the right one in > twilight saga. This movie is a classic, the acting was so wonderfully done. You could almost feel both their pain and comfort in finding each other which is rare to find in movies these days. Twilight is and will be nowhere near as great as this movie. Let the right one is as real and raw as a vampire movie should be.

  • just finished watching 'let me in'. excellent film as well, but it is almost a copy of this film with only slight changes.

  • Twilight is not a bad movie.

    I like it.

    But, yes, there is but...

But Låt Den Rätte Komma In (Let the right one in) is much better.

If I whould have list of my favourit movies, Let the right one in whould be on first place.

    Peace

  • While I agree most Americans don't see the beauty in these films, not ALL of them do. I'm American and thought Twilight was a peice of crap the first time I saw it. Then I heard about this movie, watched it, and thought it was the most magneficent vampire movie I have ever seen. No other vampire movie I have watched can compare. It definantly deserved it's high rating!

  • sparkling god damn vampire.. ahahaha.. ltroi best vampire movie ever... :)

  • Well put my friend

  • Just saw Let the Right One In on Netflix (Watch Instantly even has the corrected subtitles! Miraculous!) and now there is no doubt I'm going to buy it. It's so unique in every way: the eerie, largely prevailing silence, the masterful subtlety, the strangely innocent protagonists, the realism. Not once was there ever a moment of disbelief. Regardless of the vampire angle, the movie felt like it took place in the real world, something many movies attempt and fail at horribly. Recommended!

  • these fags at my school keep saying twilight is cool can u come show them the dvd and beat the shit out of them plz

  • @AhmadDeedat786 In English and all other languages that uses the same letters it is common that only the first letter in each sentence is written as a capital. This would make it much easier to read you post.

There is also a lot of spelling error in you post, this is usually not a problem but misspelling "stupid" is not something that helps you make a point.

Next time you want to be a smartass I recommend that you make sure that you get it right, otherwise people will not take you seriously.

  • @boretrk The Way I CHOOSE To Spell Means Not That Englkish Is Bad, You See Your Problem Is My Dear Brother That You Dont Know Me, What I type And How I Choose To Type It Be It The Spellings Or What Not, That My Dear Brother Has A Hugee Kause Behind It. NOTE.. The "K" Instead Oc "C" In Kause.

My Dear BRother You Ought TO Fokus On What Is Said, Thats What Is Of Signifikance, Not Silly Spellings. Non-The Less I Understand What You Feel Thus Its Kool. Nice Knowing You bRother. Salaam Dear Brother

  • @AhmadDeedat786 Reading your comment just makes me giggle. You need to read up on some vampire lore before stating that something was "Out Of Kontext". You obviously have no understanding whatsoever of what is portrayed in this motion picture.

  • i love this film its so delicate and then full of gore. It just delivers both well! Oskar has a few awkard moments on screen were its clumsy acting (hes cross-eyed look) and some of the cgi needs work looking cheap but thats the only flaw! Also Eli is awesome as a vampiress she basically made this film a masterpiece! "Im not a girl" is a classic quote from this film!

  • Angry Video Game Nerd for movies... if AVGN actually found a something he liked every now and then... and had a good day.... which would be a miracle for him...

Anyway, awesome review. I just read the book and loved it. I'll be looking for the movie as much as I can, but in the meantime I think I'll watch a few more of these reviews...

  • Elli? I thought it was pronounced Eeeee-li.

  • our english teacher actually showed us this movie and then a clip from twilight just to show how bad twilight was. American movies tend to spoon-feed the viewer with characters actually saying their feelings out loud (i.e. "are you scared?" "No.") and randomly explaining plot points out of the blue so that no one has to actually think. The "passive viewing" aspects of the hollywood action genre have gradually squeezed their way into the vast majority of American movies. By the way, I'm American.

  • the first time in my life I would say, the film was better than the book.

  • I've already seen Let The Right One In and Twilight, but my only regret...

... was that I didn't see this review sooner. True AND hilarious.

  • In the book she offers to make Oskar "Like me" but he turns her down saying "I want to be with you, not like you!" The movie I think left that out to leave it feel a little ambiguous. I like that though. Means there's so many different ways to watch this movie. That's part of what makes it so good and easy to watch more than once.

  • I too think that this movie was amazing. The best use of vampires in a movie since Bela Lugosi.

  • i would not recommend the dubbed version, the awkwardness of the "American" voices ruin the moment and make you laugh

  • @COBBSKATE I COULD NOT POSSIBLY AGREE MORE!!! I have the dubbed version, but I'm getting the version with theatrical subs, which I watched here on YT :D

  • @COBBSKATE Yeah, I would never recommend dubbed for any movie. The translations always suffer, & you lose the emotions and inflections in the native speak. Except for Kung-Fu movies. Those are best enjoyed dubbed. Man, how I miss Kung-Fu Theatre on TV.

  • Hit the hammer on the nail with this awesome movie!

  • POOR LITTLE ELI???? this isnt a love story Eli is a MONSTER,,she doesnt love Oskar she just needs a replacement familiar to help satiate her bloodlust,,,poor little Eli my arse,,,SHE IS A MONSTER

  • @ibez07

actually in the book epilogue eli ends up turning oskar into a vampire and they live forever as children...

  • @berkshireee i wasnt giving my opinion on the book i was basing it on the film,,in the lord of the rings books frodo fights the spider in the second whereas the film they fight in the 3rd,,artistic license i believe,,therefore i still stand by my original comment infact even more so if she turns him into a cold calculating killer like her,,,,see where ur coming from though,,good comment

  • Comment removed

  • @berkshireee Eli is a boy???????????? nooooooooooooo....really???? nooo im not having that..........time to watch again methinks ha

  • @ibez07 In the book it was a boy who was castrated by the dominant vampire a couple hundred years ago. They did a quick flash scene of a scar in the genital area and she says "im not a girl" in the movie but it could be taken as meaning she is much older than just a girl.

I like to think of her as a girl. A female played the part, therefore, the hell with the weird book stuff lol.

  • @Celly222 the book is miles better you dumb shit

  • @Celly222 Hey I'm a heterosexual male, but even I can see the importance the expressed situational love. Loving unconditionally I guess. Reminds me of the Crying Game kinda.

  • I just can't stop thinking about this movie.

  • Love your review!

/Stranger from Strange Land Sweden :P

  • I read the book and loved it, after watching this... I was impressed. Mostly due to the fact the author wrote the script doing the novel justice.

  • I absolutely love this movie AND Twilight! Go figure.

  • combining child love with horror with the cold. WHAT THE FUCK??/awesome.

  • the Twilight movies are just another way to brainwash girls about vampires and love, just another way to destroy the mentality of teenagers as part of their agenda.

  • bella: i know what you are

    Edward: say it out loud

    bella: gay

  • it is a beautiful movie! good review, wasnt expecting the funny ending. lol

  • Comment removed

  • this was a GREAT MOVIE and it is my favorite movie, and im 13 and proud to say that TWILIGHT THE WORST FREAKING MOVE EVER, IT DOESNT EVEN DESERVE THE F WORD!

yeah, edward, i know you think you are going to hell (i have neighbors who cant watch this movie, because of the blood, but they LOVE twilight, and guess what edward? YOU ARE GOING TO HELL BECAUSE YOUR A GOD DAMN FAKE VAMPIRE

and donner? i agree all the way and can i join you in beating the shit out of whoever disagrees?

  • I was moved so much by this film. 'Twilight' received the hype that 'Let the Right One In' should have had. This movie was nothing short of a masterpiece and cannot be praised enough. It was so beautifully done and I truly don't understand how more people would rather watch sparkling vampires and half naked men/werewolves run around while a teenage girl cries over them rather than this outstanding interpretation of what a true vampire film should be!

  • Comment removed

  • Great comment - could not say it any better.

    *All beauty disturbs*

This movie has really touched me, and the only vampire movie with a close move and touch was The Hunger (1983; just that plays not in winter, is not in Swedish and should have been made in French).

This was top 10 stars for 2008.

(My top 10 stars of 2010 was Winter's Bone)

  • To commenters: I sometimes look at reviews before watching a movie, which is risky because there's always folks who fail to realize it;s polite to put spoiler alerts on comments that give away major plot twists. People commenting here are doing that, but that's not my complaint. I've seen this movie already, but I have NOT read the book. This is a film review. A lot of people have not watched the movie & those that have, often have not read the book. Please use spoiler alerts in your comments.

  • @LocustCloacina SPOILER Eli is a dude when he said "i'm not a girl" he ment it leterally

  • @itinkgirlzhot12 Just like in the novel it's based on

  • I love this movie and also the book too. Spreading the word of mouth of my friends to highly watch this movie but seem not wanting to because of one person that read its a terrible movie (i think it was the dub version that person saw which i saw one scene and it was terrible). I feel sad am a LEt the right one in loner :(

  • ..."From the MYTHICAL land of Sweden"??? WOW I must be imaginary too then because I've been there.

  • Were you? Were you really..? Or was it all a dream... ! ...

oh wait.. Im a myth too appearently. So ignore this message.

  • Outstanding review!!!!

  • YEP! it's a really fantastic movie..very sincere and affecting!

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy What hello!! They are from Sweden! Norway is the neighbor country!

  • I NEED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE

the review made me laugh XD

  • @ShadowedWolfPuppy sweden

  • why dose she start bleeding uncontrollably i dont get it but still a great movie

  • @davidschurch

In ancient vampire folklore, a vampire cannot enter a house without being invited.

In this story a vampire will bleed to death if not invited. It's way better than walking against an invisible wall.

  • @Haveba ohhh ok thats what i thought lol yeah it is better then walking against an invisible wall :P

  • @davidschurch She cant enter a room without being allowed it is alot more understandable if you read the book first

  • so badly want to watch this. twilight is a sack of horse shit. this looks fucking awesome. disturbing, yet meaningful.

  • Let the right One In is one of the best vampire movies I've watched. I bought it one day, after being so sick of seeing the stupid ass Twilight shit all over the stores, and thought "Hey, a real vampire movie." I miss when vampires were deadly as hell. Oh, and when they actually ate people. Twilight is based on nothing more than an unfinished plot. If you're interested, there's a Korean horror called "Thirst". It's a vampire movie and very unique in its own way. Check it out, if you want man. :D

  • Agreed. Let the Right One In is a masterpiece.

  • ... write a comment that would mock the views I perceived the people of America as having. If I was wrong about them, then you have my most sincere apology. But, to no surprise on my part, I've received a number of violent, aggresive and hateful comments that only re-inforced my mostly negative views of the nation. And no, prior to having my first online conversations with Americans I had no prejudice. Once again, you have my apology, and I fall silent for ever and ever on this issue.

  • ... the decision to remake the Swedish movie that took place as nearly same time as Polanski's arrest. Before you ask, I am aware that it was Switzerland that nabbed Polanski, but I found the violent reaction by the people in America appalling. The picture of America that emerged from my earlier - mostly online - contacts with its people was that of arrogant, absurdly religious, irrational nation that has the right to dictate its will to the rest of the world. In effect, I decided to ...

  • Should I explain myself? I think I do. First of all, my comment DIDN'T reflect my actual views. Rather, what it reflected were the American views on the rest of the world as I saw them. Perhaps I was wrong. But what prompted me to post them where two facts: - the arrest of one of our finest directors, Roman Polanski, on the basis of wrongdoings that were genuine but took place so long ago that the act - and the subsequent aggresive backlash from the American people and... (ctd)

  • Aaaaaawesome review!!

  • I love you!! XD

Okey okey,, I love what you just said!! And I agree.. Try to read the book, that will blow your smart face off!! Seen the movie and read the book. I am Norwegian, and understand much of the words in the sweadish language. Lucky me..

Well done, this one goes to my favorites ^ ^

  • great review! even though i am a twilight obsession fan but never get the junk goodies since knowing a waste of time to do that. Watched the twilight movie but i call it fun entertainment and just love watching it since i do love the books. I did watch this movie when netflicks recommend it to me on LET THE RIGHT ONE IN and man was BLOWN away knowign this is the best vampire movie they ever did.

  • Very good review. Good parallel with Lost in Translation.

  • I watched Let the Right One In two days ago. I have spent the past two days praising it. If this is what a movie is, what the hell have I been watching for the past seventeen years of my life? I plan on getting the book soon. My only complaint is it should have been about 3 hours longer just because it was that wonderful. This just may be my favorite movie and if not, it's surely in the top three. :)

Also, great review. Would give it 5 stars if we still had the old rating system lol

  • This was one of the greatest movies I've seen. I saw Twilight and New Moon and they sucked! I hated the books and the movies, I've read Let the Right One In and saw the movie and they are fantastic! Just becaue it deals with the darker tones of human nature like theft, death, murder and pedophilia doesn't take away from it. The reason is becaue it is a horror novel, Twilight was a ramance written by an uneducated fuck wit who wrote it within 5 months. This book has depth and Twilight has none.

  • The movie does not deal with pedophilia the book does

  • twilight is a 2 1/2 star movie. this is a masterpiece of the art of filmmaking. the people who scream pedophilia are idiots. there is no pedophilia in this film

  • @UpstairsMaid Read the book... Hakan is a pedophile.

  • epic review.. LOL! FUCK TWILIGHT!

  • Swedish masterpice

  • This movie was very good, but no...not the best vampire movie (or movie in general) ever made. In my humble opinion, of course. I loved the book, it was one of my very favorite novels, but I don't think the movie did anything for it [the book].

  • Ostrich shit? Lol why didn't I think of that?

  • amen.

  • Twilight New Moon was stunning ! Here: twilight-now (.) com

  • I agree! Soundtrack and book are also Masterpieces!

  • A masterpiece!

  • Comment removed

  • B-movie???

  • I love this movie.

  • this movie is stunning. best i have ever seen really, im so sad that it hasnt gotten much recognition. unlike the shittiest movie i have ever seen twilight. what has america come to? we cant tell the different between masterpiece and garbage?

come on this movie is just haunting really.

  • @veronicachic twilight is just another chick flick with vampires.

  • @veronicachic i know i think its be cause its in subtitles

  • @veronicachic actually it got huge recognition in sweden but the american audience is too fucked up over twilight that they cant see pure gold when its in their face

  • @veronicachic

"what has america come to? we cant tell the different between masterpiece and garbage?"

Oh sure america can distinguish between masterpiece and garbage. It just so happens it prefers the garbage. Kinda like a gigantic housefly.

  • @Nails077

    hahah perfect analogy.

  • Guess it's kind of late but I just found out that the remake is going to be geared toward a "wider audience". I have a feeling if I go watch this in theaters in October, I'll be one of the few who will want to gouge out his eyes over what's being shown.

All these remakes are starting to piss me off that I think the horror department is starting to run low on ideas, in America that is: Nightmare on Elm, Child's play, Poltergist, The Crazies, and near dark-- put on hold for now.

  • I'll wait for the remake and see. But I doubt it will be good.

You know what's sad? The girl playing Eli-her favorite movie is a certain movie about glittery vampires. Have some taste!

  • Which girl do you speak of, Lina or the girl doing the remake. In any case, they are both young, their taste will change.

  • Lina.

  • On that note, I hope the remake does a flashback scene. I'd like to see Hakan's dark past exposed. I'd like the audience to see what happens to Eli when she doesn't have blood-- her physical appearance changes drastically. I'd like to see more dialogue between Hakan and Eli, however fucked up as it might be. I hope they include the Morphine scene because that was funny and it makes a lot of sense for that to happen. That's pretty much what I want to see, hopefully they show one of the four.

  • @DaRkLyDrEamiNg000. That would be nice, but won't the audience feel awkward about it, you know some people can't really stand some bloody scenes in a film...

  • Yes, but they wouldn't be true horror fans and shouldn't deserve to watch it. The book is very graphic and it's nice that the movie gave the story a lighter tone, but I prefer the book over the movie, simply for the fact that it's real disturbing at times.

  • A perfect example would be this movie. Eli is described as being castrated and when the movie shows a quick glimpse of that, I've heard people say that scene was unnecessary. If they read the book they would understand why it needed to be shown. It is almost a sure bet that the remake will not show or make any reference to it because people here in the states will probably flip the fuck out.

Hahahaha, and Twilight should have gone stright to DVD, I'm tired of seeing those stupid billboards.

  • @DaRkLyDrEamiNg000. For me, I think that the Eli's castration should have been included in a flashback scene, or deleted scenes. Don't you think?

  • No. A flashback scene would have been better since that is how Oskar finds out about her past in the book. I didn't have a problem with how the movie handled it-- the kid got curious and wanted to see what a naked girl looks like. People are just stupid and want to find a reason to say that something is offensive or is inappropriate for someone to watch. It could have been a lot worse in that regard-- they could have shown Hakan's homosexual tendencies.

  • @DaRkLyDrEamiNg000

    Part 2

I don't know if they do this any longer and trying to find out might get me in trouble, so I won't do that.

Anyway, Eli says "she" is not a girl. Oskar says he doesn't care. He wasn't curious about any naked female, he was curious about Eli's true gender. He doesn't quite understand. The scar tells us what should be there but is not.

Of course this second long shot did create a lot of turmoil. But I don't see why it should.

  • Yeah, I don't either. I don't know what the TV regulations are like where you're from, but here in the states people bitch and complain about every single thing and then we have the MPAA who will make the finial call on what should be shown. Someone once told me that the Swedish people didn't take that scene too lightly either and that surprised me somewhat. I assumed they would accept it more since not many movies come out of there.

  • @DaRkLyDrEamiNg000

It doesn't matter what you do or how subtle you are, you will offend someone.

What I wanted to say with my little story there was that Oskar peeking at Eli wasn't of sexual curiosity. It was to find out what gender Eli really was.

  • @Supersweetguy It's not so much a question of "should have been included". The director wanted to include it. However, in order to shoot that scene they would have to kill a real pig, because of the detail of the shot it would look fake to do it with artificial material (also remember budget of film). When the day of the shoot arrived and the director saw the butcher standing next to the live pig he said he couldn't do it and decided not to include it in the movie.

  • @Cesar21jmb I guess that it depends on the director's choice but for me its one of the most beautiful films of 2008....

  • I've never been more proud to be a Ellie....

ok that was a joke but this movie was AMAZING

    just breath taking and stunning

  • Let The Right One In was amazing...and so was this review, well done!

  • You are never going to believe this but Lina Leandersson's ,Eli's acotor, favorite film is Twilight and I am dead serious and it is kinda ironic f you think of it.

  • this vid was very fun. the way you made fun of twilight was good ;)

  • i love let the right on in! the soundtrack is beautiful, the actors are great and the effects are both beautiful mand scary!

i am proud to be swedish right now cuz this movie is so lovely

better then twilight in my opinion. MUCH BETTER <3<3<3

go sweden! go let the right on in!

    go vampires! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

  • Twilight I would rate as an ok movie, at best. That's if you give me some form of opiod before it starts. Now, Let the Right One In was just mesmerizing the first time I watched it. Truly one of the best films ever made in the genre hands down... Yes, I am American, and no I'm not insane so LTROI pretty much stomps all over Twilight in any context...

  • alekmosingiewicz is clearly a troll, claiming Transformers and Phantom Menace are deep. Stop feeding the troll, everybody! And if not, he's insane, and you shouldn't treat insane people as if their delusions are something to be debated about!

  • You're an idiot. Seriously. Please dunk your head in a toilet and breathe deeply.

  • Your statement, "I think Twilight is better because it's an American movie" is idiotic and your idea that everyone in Europe is a pedophile becasue of one case is so disturbingly racist that it astounds me that you're openly saying it. LTROI is a better movie because it's a better movie and, if you've got a thing against pedophiles, why are you defending a movie in which a 100 year-old stalker has a relationship with a high school girl. Is pedophilia okay if the guy is "really hot?"

  • Comment removed

  • "Still, I'm dead sure that American culture is superior to European culture"

    now there's a dangerous statement...

  • Nope... Not at all actually our culture pretty much sucks (the key reason why I'm trying to get to Canada).

  • Nope, you guys have Rock n' Roll, animation and Early Hollywood movies on your trackrecord.... It doesn't suck, it has just become to much about money and playing safe the last years.

  • Hmm... Did I mention that America has more nazis than Germany ever did?

  • @alekmosingiewicz Are you aware that Europe is a continent made up of FIFTY different countries? Unlike you, I will not stoop to your absurdly ignorant, racist level, but suffice to say, it's American's like you that give your country a really bad name - you are an amalgamation of all that is detestable in a person - a combination of ignorance, unadulterated stupidity and bigotry - you are an embarrassment to humanity. P.s. I don't think that Ted Bundy was Polish...

  • @alekmosingiewicz you're a racist twerp. the culture that brought us mcdonald's, taco bell and jesusland is better than the continent that brought us beethoven, mozart, the great philosophers? LOL.

  • @alekmosingiewicz I'm pretty sure you have recieved a thosand hateful replies about your comment already but...WHERE YOU ARE BORN DOES NOT EFFECT YOUR ART, ITS WHO YOU ARE. Could the American version be better than the orginal, possibly, but very very unlikely. The reasons why, remakes have a tendency to be stale compared to the orginal and this movie is already brilliant. It would be a pretty difficult task to top this movie...

  • @alekmosingiewicz I should be aware of that the nation of America hasn't really been around for as long as Europe as a country on the world-map?

  • I hope you get aids

  • And I gave myself to a life of lifelong abstinence, so theres no way I contract AIDS.

  • That's unfortunate...

  • @ alekmosingiewicz

Twilight is better because it's an American movie? What a striking argumentation!

I've never heard such a nonsense. Let me guess, transformers must be your favourite movie because of its complex story.

  • @alekmosingiewicz you a racist bastard for thinking twilight is a better film because it was made in america. Twilight sucks it is a big ripoff of this beutiful movie. European culture is just as good and probaly even better the American culture. The disturbing overtone and pedophiliac is what make this film great because it has balls to show the some real problems all Twilight is a fucked up version of Romeo and Juliet but with vampires. every remake that we american have made suck ball.

  • sweden can make amazing movies. america makes more movies cuz they are a BIG country. let the right one in, to me it act as a PROOF that not only america can make movies. im proud to be swedish as an upcomming actress i hope to do a movie like let the right one in. i respect your opinion very much, but i just wanted you to see it from other perspectives. engliand makes great movies and so does australia. great movies don tall come from hollywood. ;)

  • If you think this was amazing...I am so not dissing it at all. You should check out The Virgin Spring, that is the film Last House on the Left ripped off. Spoken in Swede...with Eng subtitles.

Let the Right One In is sweet and smart.

Yes, Twilight blew big time...I felt robbed of my time and IQ like I did when I suffered through Contact. Yick.

  • @Dayofthedead1976 i thought last house on the left was decent, ill have to check out virgin spring for shoo.

  • I think that movie(lasthouse) aged very badly.

It doesn't have the effect now it might has had in it's hayday.

  • A lot of horror movies don't have that effect anymore because too many directors focus on the blood and guts more than the story itself. I also think that it has to do with the regulations surrounding the movie industry in which writers and dictors have to take extra caution in what they show and that is a real shame because the MPAA is taking away from what movie making is suppose to be about.
