  • I absolutely LOVE the tasty little lick you played instead of the insane tapping lick. So good.

  • Where can I find that backing track? Very nice tone out of that simple setup.

  • If anyone needs a full tab for WST, let me know. Good cover man, just work on the timing a bit please.

  • I'd love to see ya do a little Jeff Beck!

  • fuck strat sounds.. i love it.. !!

  • Very sweet, happy to hear it in a short of imrovise. Well done!

  • this is the stuff i want to learn to play :]

  • I bought the amp and guitar with my own money that I earned working at a guitar shop....

  • Good for you, then. Forgive my snarky comment, it's born of jealousy, obviously. :)

    Nice playing, man.

  • could you send it to me? haha i can't seem to find it

  • cool check out y cover ogf the same song ! =)

  • Just out of curiosity where did you get the backing track for the song?

  • its actually pretty easy to find! just search around and u can find it for sure, or i suppose i could send it to u haha

  • whats the chord progression you use at :23?

  • Nice try, dude!!

That arpeggio phrases r evil....I can't play them yet too, ehehehe!!!

    Congrats, u're good on guitar!

    Cheers!

  • nice cover

  • Good stuff man.

I'm not coming down on anyone in particular, but it seems like a universal youtube truth: Those who feel liberated to make pronouncements about people's skills and provide advice seem to be the same people who have never poste a video. I find that strange. Oh well.

  • second.

  • wow...nice.....

did you figure it out by your ear?

  • beautifull

  • Good cover dude, you obviously dont yet have the chops to play this tune properly, but they will come.

your phrasing and vibrato is quite good.

  • @BenditlikeBecker Rofl i love your name. I'm gonna use that from now on =)

  • Dude, you should learn some shawn lane tracks, then post lessons :D

    hah j.k. good stuff

  • Tasty licks bro! I was thinking about getting a Cornford to use with my JS 1200...How do you like the Hurricane, and how does it compare to the Hellcat and Roadhouse 30? Cheers

  • i havent actually tried the other cornford amps, but I think they have a better distorted sound than the hurricane... Hurricane excels at breaking up clean kinda tones

  • Try turning both pre-amp gain and master vol up to 75%, eq full bass, full mid and back treble below half, and use a humbucker. Move mother out and enjoy !!

  • Hey, do you have a tab for this mate? I want to play this song so bad.

  • man. i remembered a year ago checking your stuff out, and you weren't that good, but now you've really growned fantastic job putting your own blues into it. awesome job man.

  • growned? Nice! Thanks

  • dude id love to talk over msn messanger some time

  • what type of strings do you use? I use D'addario XL standard

  • same. starting to use 11's now though

  • u use diadario xl?

  • very nice!

  • dude how old where you in this vid?

  • 17.. i know I look younger!

  • hey i got a question #1 do you know a good guitar magazine with techniques etc. i was lookin at "guitar player" scince rolling stones aint much and then second what is the "wonderful slippery" thing i have an idea but i want to know...

  • "Guitar Techniques" and wonderful slippery thing is by guthrie govan

  • guitar techniques like 120$

  • and i meant what does he mean by "wet slippery thing"?

  • nice dude..

  • Tom anderson is the best

  • your vibrato is very very good. it may surpise you but that slow feely thing is something that lots of people forget to pt a lot of effort into. anhd i noticed that you may be lacking in the shred epertment as far as this video is concerned, but that only takes maybe a year maximum to get into very well. I can tell you play a lot!

    5 stars from me

  • I love this track and this is a great take on it. Nice solo and tone too. Good scales !Would you mind telling me where I can get the backing track from as I just have the cd with the solo's on. Would love to jam over it !

    Thanks in advance.

  • its from guitar techniques magazine actually so i guess the only way to get it otherwise is the internet

  • I like this a lot... I'm impressed.

  • ur feel is a bit stiff.

the jazzy bits need a bit more swing. and the funky bits need to groove a bit more.

good effort. keep learning and going over it.

  • I love how you really groove this tune!

    Keep 'juicing' them out!

You are one Bad Ass Orange!!! Love ya!

  • how did you learn to play? reading notes?

  • nah playing along to backing tracks. I use the notes as rough guidelines

  • Good job man really well done, you kept to your level and succeeded very well.

Q how many guitars do you have and what kind?

    thanks

  • i have a Tom Anderson Classic Strat, A washburn W166 Pro (Les Paul Style), a Cort G250 ( which I won), a Yamaha Pacifica (my first guitar), a Telecaster that I made on the cheap and a cheapy classical guitar.

    Thanks

  • i probably could if i spent some time on it...but to be honest I have A levels to worry about

  • Wow, thats great! I really enjoyed listning. :)

I was just curios... how long are u playing?

  • been playing 4 years :D thanks

  • 1:22... love it!

Thanks for the video response, too.

  • Nice, very nice, i like the groove :)

especially the bends sound great :D

this song is pretty tough, i tried to play it myself.. Great job!

  • thanks.. its one of the hardest songs I've ever learnt!

  • no doubt ;)

i guess this is another step higher:P its funny to see you grow :D ive checked all ur previous videos. you began ''easy'' and you keep getting better and now you reached this level.. Nice :D Can't wait to see what's next to come ;)

  • It sounds really good...

  • hahahha omg this guy? steven poots is the absolute worst guitarist on youtube that thinks he's good....there are some really bad ones on here that don't realize it but he definately is the worst! hahaha rock on alex!

  • Steven really you are arnt that great compared to this guy so dont comment about it. Keep em comin Alex

  • Steven you could be the next BB King for all we know, but with your lack of appreciation for real music combined with your ignorant character you're nothing more than a washed up scrub

  • lol steve your a fanatic buddy....stop tryin to impress people and play music for music....but seriously, sell your guitar on ebay bc you suck lol

  • Maybe you should spend your time learning the guitar...?

  • Very Nice. I like the groove.

    The piece vives.

    You Rock!

  • your homosexual

  • learn to play guitar?

  • haha. im 15 this year. im stuck on 3 strats. 2 fenders and 1 squier.

but i spend the bulk of my cash on effects. so no complaints haha. mann. im loving your playing!

  • Not half bad eh! Thanks :D

  • woah. goood job on this man. 16 and you've got a tom anderson! woah. nice stuff bro!

  • thanks :D I did earn it honest! I work at a guitar shop on Saturday's and its second hand!

  • you're going to be a pro and make a lot of money

  • awesome job man! how old r u?

  • 16 :D thanks

  • man... I admire your guitar proness. Everyone just cares about getting up to 1239012038123 bpm shred now. Not many people play true music like you

  • by sight reading, do you mean all notation or w/ tab as well?

  • notation for timing, tab for notes

  • have you heard of the guitar trainer mp3 playback device? i saw one today at the music store and was tempted to buy it, it slows down tracks and ive decided to learn by ear not by reading, i think im faster, good playing by the way :D

  • Excellent as always. You appear to be sight reading. Is that so?

  • yer sure am. too much to remember

  • would you marry me? XDDDDDD just kidding, you play so nicely!

  • "Too late in the evening" LOL!

Nice playing & even better quote. ;)

  • COVER "WAVES"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • May I ask, what do you learn from? I know that the bulk of it is self generated, but the building blocks and fundamentals have to come from somewhere.

I ask, only because I see talent which can be learned from, and it'd be a shame to not spread that ability to others who are willing to learn.

  • Guitar Techniques Magazine... Issue 110

  • Hey Alex

Wonderful playing as always, I laughed my ass off when you splashed that note, "to late in the evening...". Keep postin' bro it's awesome to watch you play. big 5er

    Cheers

  • DUDE, your rad man... very good job. How long have you been playing, and what was the first guitar you got? Ha, well, cya...
