haha, i saw this on repeat tonight for the first time. and i was shocked when i noticed dave telling the guy move his foot. the camera kept getting him into the shots, and i kept noticing how he was the only one not clapping, schlumped over in his seat, looking miserable. everytime the cam was on him, i laughed my ass off! haha. finally when time came for dave to pick a new player, i was PLEADING for him to choose the awkward guy.

he was a plant though, thinking back, i've seen him on before.

I never noticed that before but I don't think it necessarily means he was a plant because Dave is a proper kind of guy and he probably doesn't like when people have their legs out in the aisle.

Don't know if it's real or not but sure looked real to me. The guy might just have been a shy geek who panicked when he was suddenly on national television making a fool of himself and being laughed at by 400 people. Dave's reaction seemed real too, when he asked the guy to repeat his inaudible answers and looked around when the audience started laughing.

Props to Dave and the Late Show writers if it was scripted.

my girlfriend thinks the wierd guy who runs off was a plant. i think its legit. he seems like a recluse who just shouldnt have been there. i loved it.
