  • Thanks for the video!

Where can i buy plastic housing? Just at Honda?

    and

Does Honda still sell the older ones, with a small place for the immobilizer chip?

  • Thank you for the video!! I bought the key shell on ebay for less that $6.00, then had it cut for $10.00 at a local shop....$16.00 vs. $40.00 the shop was going to charge for providing the shell and switching out the parts for me. Thanks!

  • @HWilliamsBES I need one cut also, where did you get it cut?

  • Dude! You just saved me $135!! Thank you!!

  • @caseinpoint1 You are very welcome. Glad to help! Please spread the word with your friends and in blogs. FixMyKey.com

  • I used to. The swing out style keys that I have dealt with were very low quality and hard to work with. I know customers like them, so I sold them and just put up with the hassle. When keys started coming back from customers with failures in the mechanical mechanism, I stopped selling them.

  • Can you do a switch blade style key for the 08 accord?

  • The retainer is for use during key production (before the factory adds the remote and back). A small amount of putty or adhesive holds it fine while you are working on the key. The back of the key is really the retainer.

  • I believe you forgot to put the imobolizer key plastic retainer back on. .
