The BLS only counts people who are actively looking for a job for a certain period of time after losing work as unemployed, and do not count those who have never held a job, have recently stopped looking, or have started looking, as these people are no longer or were never in the labor force. So unemployment falling doesn't necessarily mean the economy is recovering, as people may be removed from the unemployment list for not having found a job.

Sure the hell was not my fault I lost my job. I have worked my ass trying to keep my bills paid and these inbreds get my tax dollars and will not help anybody but themselves. But I am sure before it is said and done, the government will find some reason to help them once again.

The only reason these companies were too big to fail was because they are backed by the government and thus every American who pays taxes. Sounds more like socialism to me. Attention should be paid to the government bailing out huge companies while simultaneously stifling small businesses. Capitalism relies on competition, but the government intervention in the marketplace constantly favors large corporations.

(Many Europeans, for example, don't pay an electric bill). Corporatism reflects an integral relationship between the government and industries (like the Japanese MITI, the Fascist Italian National Council of Corporations, China) where the government directs the functions of businesses thru heavy subsidies
