Another thing I like to remind people: when you have company over, you don't make them use different bathrooms based on their gender, even if they're staying for a few days and thus will be using facilities such as showers. I'll admit it isn't a completely parallel situation, but it's the same principle - multiple genders using the same bathroom isn't uncommon.
