really help me with how i was gonna play online with out seeming nooby. I generally excuse mass marines by using them to cover a unit of Thor's with cover from vikings in assault mode. is this just an excuse for mass marine and will therefore be scolded by other's or will this be seen as a legit strategy?

I just picked this game up today and I really know nothing about it so far, but the information I have gathered is that Zerg is kinda underpowered? It seems liek if you're in the game for the long run that is the one race you do not want to be; there troops just seems very weak compared to the other two races. So I'm guessing the only thing they're really good at is well...zerging?

Hello. Can you tell me why each time I play with my friend 2v2, the oponent always seem to have 3 more times the quantity of soldiers than the one we have. For example, I had 3 barracks, 1 factory and around 25 big guys, the second ones you buy at the barracks when you upgrade them. And for some reason the enemy came with much more enemies than both of us combined 0-0 And they are pretty fast. Ive lost agains zerg many times. Are zerg superior than terrain?

you cant predict that their first and second wave are going to be the same. the toss player could easily turn to warp gates, and the zerg only had as many lings as the toss had lots. so his economy was potentially stronger, and more likely to tech. Their problem was they thought a tech after crippling red was a good idea. All I saw was a lot of lings, lots, and cannons. Which all are easily taken care of. VR were poorly used by them.

@Belvorse I didn't create a force that could only be used against light units, I created a force that would be more effective if light units were what they used. My prediction was a gamble, but I had a feeling that any three players that are going to throw away units like that on an attack that was more-or-less suicide would be unlikely to survive an immediate counterattack.

@MajinMousse Hard to say. Concentrated rushes are going to cause casualties either way. The best thing you can do in a game of 3v3 is always be prepared to assist your allies, and pray they're thinking the same thing. Your allies don't do you any good if they're dead. In this match, we noticed that the enemy team was willing to sacrifice their initial rush, instead of pulling back. This let us use red as a sponge.

@MajinMousse The other thing is definitely send minerals and gas to an allies after he takes a sucker-punch. The faster your allies get back on their feet, the faster they can be useful again. I know it all sounds sort of pragmatic and insensitive, but Starcraft is a fast-paced game.

@nicko9cracker I realized that my opponents were building predominately light units. I saw Zerglings and Zealots, and that was what prompted me to build hellions. It was a gamble however; it wouldn't have been hard for the Zerg players to switch to mass Roaches. If they had done that, the Hellions would have been pretty much useless.
