how summed up do you want to get? i mean transcription and translation are made up of so many intricate components....in short terms..DNA transcribe to RNA then is tranlasted into protein..yay central dogma...

replication of dna is in the nucleus, and then transcription also happens there as well. During transcription mRNA is created, thus it couples itself with the correct ribosome to create amino acids, in turn producing proteins...(translation). UmMm if i remember correctly..translation can happen in the cytoplasm AND in the Rough Endoplasmic reticulum (they don't call it rough for no reason...ribosomes gaore!) anywho..i hope that helps ^_^"

yes.. that does help... but then in translation when the ribosome is reading the mRNA and tRNA comes, during Elongation does it start out in the A-site or P-site first?

yes the stop codon , is the termination factor in translation. As far as elongation... (shoot trying to recall a few courses). I am very sure that it starts out in the A-site (Acceptor site) where the incoming aminoacyl-trna comes in to bind with those ribosomes and the p-site (peptidyl site) is where the fmet is bounded to that site.

Hope i am explaining things well.....sometimes my wording/memory can be off
