If a bot can perfectly time the modus veritas of everyone, you can do it with 9, on AV no problem, and yeah with a good helix onee shot it. Can do it w/o bot too but GL

Is the person who uploaded this resposible for its creation and can you verify... the nature of 'rizner' and how he can cast modus veritas outside party? Looks suspicious based on that flaw, otherwise an interesting concept and I am a SCH 75 on odin and I will look to be testing this in the coming weeks.

Assuming 200 Helix, on first tick..

1 SCH = 300

2 SCH = 450

3 SCH = 675

........

14 SCH = 58953

If my calculations are right...58,953 on first tick is no joke...It's just exponential math.

There is a tool that allows players to put the GM sign up so you can run through other characters. But to show how its fake If you look very close at 0:48 you can see "Rizner uses Modus Veritas." or if you want to see even more just look at 0:53 to 0:57 when he isnt wearing any Judges gear(The Red GM only stuff.)

Even still, hasn't it been seen before, when a GM doesn't have their full gear set on? I've heard of such cases... As for the MV thing, I wouldn't know. But still, I wouldn't be that surprised if the GM was wearing something different.

I've just been looking at some math for this based on FFXI WIki's formula.

It basically says that if helix lands for just 1 pt of dmg, 14 sch's would do 65k points of dmg with MV after the first tic, (and thats at least something like Kirin, dead in ~10 secs) from a totally resisted spell.

conversely I typed in 100 dmg and a full ally reaches 26 mil pts of dmg, there's got to be more to it than just D*2^x I bet.

I'm afraid you are incorrect on your math. The actual damage from 14 sch's, with a helix dmg of only 1pt, would be 16,384.

Your equation would be 1*2^14

Following the rule PEMDAS.

2^14 = 16,384

16,384*1 = 16,384

Never the less, 14 sch's would be able to put out an INSANE amount of damage on a single tic. Kirin would be child's play with a well organized group lol.

The equation would need to be changed a little it would be (Original DMG)*2^14. So multiply 16,384 by what ever dmg was, 190 in this case.

WoW is a game that is solo friendly. You can jump on with no friends, max your char w/ no friends, and go die with no friends.

FFXI, on the other hand, requires you to network and meet people. You become a better listener and will [hopefully] give you some leadership skills.

Did some recalculations, you will need atleast 10 SCH for AV and a helix that will do 75 damage and you can 1shot AV (should do about 77k damage ... the beauty of this is that once you hit 12 SCH all you need to do is 1 helix for 25 dmg which is more realistic) and you can still 1shot AV.

lol there's a GM in the pic... anyway AV is a way higher level then this yovra so don't think you will get close to the 190 helix damage. But I say 12 scholars and rotating CORs in for random deal to reset Modus Veritas... probably can take down AV within a few minutes... nice find... watch it be patched during november update lol

The problem with the idea that enough Scholars using Modus Veritas to one shot an HNM is that Helix spells will do no where near 190 damage on any HNM.

Most Helix spells can't break 50 damage on an HNM, due to the mechanices of the spell and the sheer INT difference between player and monster.

Very interesting and entertaining strategy for not-so HNM enemies though.

With Elemental Seal you're looking at 120+ on most HNMs, thus enough to oneshot.

Well, not recently discovered, It has always been a theory.

SE knew this technique could be executed when they flagged Modus Veritas stackable, the only reason for it to even be stackables is so that it can be done, and surely the devs knew beforehand that a filled alliance of Scholars stack them.
