  • Still waiting for the video of Moechitlins playing this with his teeth.

  • I Love this. He did a great job on this tune. If we could all play like this, the world would be a better place. What average player can even hope to play this well????

  • Go back in your tunnel

  • i can play this with my teeth

  • Its a handful ain't it. I loved your tone and you did a great job. There is youtube which you should check out, it live and distorted a bit but good. Search Peter Northcote kid charlemagne. My band will try to tackle some of this material when we get a chance for another jam check us out. Andre

  • Nice job. Can you play the title song to "Strikes Twice"? I'm trying to learn it but it's a bitch.

  • If you like "Strikes Twice" please try and find an old Johnny Smith tune titled "Jaguar"...the opening phrase of Strikes Twice is taken nearly note for note from Jaguar...

  • Didn't read any other comments. sounds great man, bet it feels good eh?

  • I thought it was hot. Too bad a bunch of wanna-be guitar player egomaniacs got jealous and commented.

  • good job buddy, check out my treatment of that song, you are closer to nailing the solo than I, but it has been a challenge I have worked on for years.

  • recently pulled the tab for this so as to get it down.nice job on solo i thought. shame about some comments,to many fevered egos. playing guitar aint no race to who is better or playing it note for note correct.guitar wizard needs to develope some modesty as no one likes a big head."yeah,my dick is bigger than your dick,go check my videos"... jesus!

  • I did for about 2 seconds. BORING.

  • Nice job.The phrasing needs a little work to sound authentic but hey no two people play exactly alike. There are a couple of wrong notes in certain sections. I learned this solo years ago. Its my favorite. Playing over complex chord changes is very difficult. Carlton is a master at this kind of stuff. Very tasty. They say he played this solo in 1 take and it was totally improved on the spot. Keep playing. Good job.

  • Kid C. is a great solo. Too bad this guy butchers it up. He's close here and there, but the details are way off. Bad tone. Too much distortion. Lots of wrong notes too. I dont see the point of playing along with the album. I can just play the album if i want to hear that solo the RIGHT way. LOL

  • Thanks Dad, maybe you can be a guitarist one day, if you practise!

  • If you could actually do it you might see the point. It's a lot easier to just bad mouth this guy.

  • I can play it exactly like the original, wich was Larry Carlton by the way. Steely Dan is my favorite band. I also play some flamenco. I guess you didnt bother to look at my videos. Cheers, GW

  • Great phrasing. Tone is a bit too processed sounding.

  • cool.

  • personally I consider this one of the best guitar solos in rock history. Thanks Larry

  • Amen, Brother!

  • don't you love it

    one of the best

  • yes fascinating to watch... could you do glamour profession or king of the world outro next?

  • watching this gives a different feel for the great structure of that solo- heard it a hundred times, thanks, much appreciated

  • wwwwwwoah. wicked, mate. loved the hammer-on at the end there. very nice. :D

  • Not bad. Needs a little work, though. Tuning, clarity, etc.

  • Nice. Do you get the feeling he lost something in his playing since the shooting?

  • perfect dude
