The endgame file that ME1 creates is seperate from the saved game file, so even if you deleted your save game files, you should still have the necessary information knocking about somewhere to load into ME2.

Actually all ME 1 party members that you had will be in me2. Depending on who you killed and who you saved and such. Like if you saved ashley on vermine then yea she will be in me2 but kaiden won't. Same vice versa. Wrex won't be in me2 if you killed him on vermine BUT if you didn't kill him (or ashley didn't) and convinced him to stay on your side then yea he will be in me2. In other words all the remaining party members you had at the end of me1 will be in me2. With the new characters

she is, but she isnt a follower. they said that you can continue relationships from the first game in an interview. so im guessing if you 'had realtions' with ashley, then she comes back (not a major role however)

With non heavy weapons he's dumping a heatsink and replacing it.

Heavy weapons will require consumables.

It's not weapon reloading, I don't know who the hell told you that. BioWare (Casey Hudson specifically) confirmed that the "reload animation" is Shepard hitting a button to eject a heat sink when the gun overheats. This means that instead of waiting for the cooldown, you will now be able to do it manually.

Well, thanks to a 10 page article in June's edition of OXM, we know of A assassin, may not be this one, but who knows.

The assassin we know of is named "Thane".

He is of a new race called the Drell.

If you watched Bioware's Pre-E3 video, Thane would be the green alien never seen before.

Apparently, he's gonna assassinate someone so hardcore, we'd be hardpressed not to want him on our team.

Look, the only reason they made that teaser trailer showing that shepard is dead was because they wanted to keep fans on edge when they create the story, they hadn't created it yet when they made it so they just want to keep the fans waiting. xD

okay im probably wrong about shepard being dead, ill admit that. although i have not heard that specific quote, I have heard that "everything you see in the teaser trailer is true" can't remember where i saw that. whether or not shepard is KIA for real still needs to be seen.

I personally think you find Shepard in ME 2 "down but not out" with a fresh character you make from scratch. your Shepard from ME 1 is the Shepard you find.

If you look closely towards the end of the cutscene you can briefly see what looks like a female in heavy armour behind Shepard, which looks almost identical to Ashley's default armour. I guess that means she will be making a return providing you didn't abandon her on Virmire.

It also looked like an Asari was fighting with Shepard in the first part, possibly Liara? Or it could be the Asari we see in the cutscene...

I doubt Shepard is dead. Firstly, we've been promised to carry on our character from the first game. Secondly, he's the first and probably only human Spectre. If he dies, they'll have to introduce a new Spectre which would basically be a diss to the first game. Shepard ain't dead. No Geth or species can kill that motherfucka!
