I think her best score is The Lake House. It's one of my favourite films and my favourite actors in a film as well. The Score makes the film immencely perfect for me
Rachel Portman is one of my favourite film composers, but sadly she's constantly made to write music for romantic comedies or family films which don't challenge her musically. I was very pleasantly surprised by her music for The Human Stain here. And I also like Nicolas Nickleby, but don't you think it can sound too much like other sountracks of hers?

Nicholas Nickleby is the BEST! The music is so cute it makes me want to cry (with happiness and sadness, along with the story.)
