The guy that made this is a genius really, releasing the game in alpha stage and then adapting it to the players' desires (he listens to what the people who play his game say). He's a multi-millionaire now, just because of this game lol. If you play it, and enough people say they want better graphics (which I kinda doubt) he'll do it. Making this game cost him almost nothing lol and he charged $10 for people to play it (after a while). Genius.

Matt's got the short of what needs to be done. Make wooden tools then stone and so on. Certain resources like coal can only be acquired by mining the appropriate block in this case coal with the proper tools in this case stone tools. It's also a good idea to keep spare dirt or stone on hand for" emergencies"

QUICK TIPS:

Gravel is a no no...

you can only mine the stone with a wood pickaxe

stone pickaxe then mines the coal,

objectives- make a house in about 5mins, even if it is pitch black you can mine and find coal to light it, aslong as you are inside by night you are safe.

dont run into a cave without a weapon or a light!!!! make a hole for a house do not go into a already made hole, or their will be creepers. dont go too far from your spawn without leaving a trail or you will be lost if you die

@augustuen yes, but if your 'house' is just big enough to go around you they cannot spawn, because even in minecraft there is clipping. plus, if you dig straight down they still cant spawn, what with the need for ground to spawn. but yeah, still a bad idea to dig straight down :)
