As a child, I couldn't sleep for YEARS after seeing the wolf scene. Still absolutely freaks me out after all this time. LOL Poor girl. She looked genuinely terrified.
I watched the filming of this movie at my family's Lodge in CO. The coolest animal fight scene IMO was when they placed the dog and a wolf (both leashed) on either side of a section of boards with a hole burned out in the middle to make it look like the roof after the fire. Then they put a raw steak between the two animals & rolled camera. Not surprising at all that a piece of raw meat can get two carnivorous animals to act like wild beasts.
Right. As if there aren't enough movies that make wild animals look bad....
I'm not criticizing this movie. I'm just saying it would be nice if there were more movies where wild animals were too cautious to approach people unless threatened.
I would like to visit nature I mean as a field trip or a vacation or something like that, not actually make it a lifestyle I'd miss the TV and the washing machine. o.o
Where is live Vancouver WA its not a wilderness area. we are a city but yet we have space enough to have yards. but we are not devoid of appliances we have dishwashers and stuff like that.
@88mroux Also I thought wolves were afraid of humans? But yet again this was a little girl so Wolves might take advantage of that and think of her as a baby Deer or Baby Elk.
@TheCajunGambit1 Thats mostly because she turn and ran, which you should not do with one wolf or a group of wolfs, cuz that will trigger their preaditory instinct.
poor doggie got jumped and his ass torn up by those pesky wolves!

Country Bumpkins have mountain lions, wolves, and any other weird creatures living at your door waiting to have you for dinner.

@MichaxMassega The city equivalent is landlords, tax collectors, and traffic.

And now look at them. Without a GPS they are lost in the woods. o.o

Do you guys think it would be more difficult to be a country bumpkin than a city slicker? I was just thinking the lack of access to appliances.

I think my mom would find it difficult to buy food or do our laundry on a daily basis... o.o

The wilderness family is all...well...wilderness and wild land, no cities, no metropolitan areas.

@88mroux Perhaps you would be less of a coward if you had a gun to shoot it with.
